Yet Amazon is selling for $55
        Ships in March!

    • Do you really really want it. Maybe get it now. Kmart and BigW are like 15% off.
If you don't care when you get it. Maybe wait for a 20% off sale. But it might only drop to $32.

Buy now contemplate life’s decision later.

      $35 for some plastic

    • It’s not going anywhere - unless you’re going to build it now, there’s not going to much savings down the track anyway. If you’re like me, you probably have other sets in the backlog that haven’t been built yet that you should do first 😂

    • +4

      Pay $34, make the set.

Then use it to travel into the future to when the set is on special for $20, travel back to today and get a $34 refund based on your initial receipt… :p

      • Give this man a medal!

This is nostalgia for us middle-aged folks.

Will this ever become a collectible at some point?
    10, 15, 20 years?

Wondering if I buy and hold now, I can flog it when it becomes 'rare:..
I love CARS but don't have free money…

    • Mass produced and every man and his dog buying / owning it…

      • What isn't mass produced these days?

        • My point is that the strong popularity of this set suggests it will be produced in very high quantities.

          • @DevGuy: Got it.
Will buy it for my great great grandson 10 years after he's born. 😁

  • Thanks OP, bought and I reckon I'll actually build this one!

  • Ordered, can't go wrong with this price.

    Play first, hate life later

  • OOS in anywhere within 50km from my place

  • Was the back to the future kit from a few years better?

Can you still buy that one?

    • Do you mean the 21103? 'Better' is subjective I guess. It has about 40 more pieces than this one.

No, you can't buy the 21103 anymore as it was retired in 2014.

    • There's a link to a review at the bottom of the first post of the deal I posted a couple of days ago that includes a direct comparison.

  • Got one at mr toy toy world $39.99 while it was more than this deal, I'm glad i could find it in stock :)

  • 80 upvotes for this deal, but only 50 for the one posted two days earlier - should I deduce Big W is more popular than Kmart? Despite only having half as many stores!

    • No idea! Maybe it was the stock level aspect at the time?

      • +1

I'm just bitter and envious XD

    • +1

The other deal was marked as NSW

      • Ah that would explain it. Was amended by mods.

  • Dozens of them at Kmart Booragoon, WA if anyone is local. Stupid anti theft stickers right on the front of the box though.

  • +1

Myer have it for $33.99 and later today TopCashback has 20% cashback.

    • I wonder if anyone was able to stack considering the lack of stock

  • If you can get to it, there's still quite a few at Stanhope Gardens Big W store… just got mine from there.
