        silver better

    • I aspire to a world where the colour Deep Blue doesn't determine an iPhone's opportunities for humans to disconnect with each other, but I know we aren't there yet.

  • Delivery costs need to be added!!

I just showed the umart link instore and they were happy to pricebeat - suggest doing a phone call instead of stores if the staff are sheisse

Woolies have 20x points on Apple Gift Cards this week (equivalent of 10% back), which is better than this deal.

    • -2

Not worth the risk of tampered gift card if the difference is only 50 bucks or something. Especially for those who don’t like shopping at Woolworths

      • Eh, depends where you live, the new versions of these apple gift cards are pretty much tamper proof as it is hard to remove the card from the packaging without evidence.

I know in some places they are also in short supply, but I live in Tasmania and there is an absolute abundance of gift cards in woolies (probably cause no one has the money to buy them here)

You also get the added bonus of buying direct from Apple, which if need be, offer 14 days change of mind returns.

  • Very bad price matching experiences with OW Castle Hill 2154 recently, when I mentioned price match, the staff even didn’t want to listen, I showed them online store page on my phone, they didn’t want to check on their end and said that it’s not the one OW selling or it’s a not eligible store. Took long time, Finally I called supervisor out, priced matched.

    • Who were you price matching with? If it was a legitimate request, I would've sent a complaint.

      • Not only one, at least 3 of them at different shifts. I didn’t record their names, because supervisors fixed problems, I got price matched at the end.

Can you avoid that by price beating on the phone?

      • +1

Yes, you are right, their call centre staff are more professional.

    • +1

PM via phone call, normally they are more friendly than store staff.

Call it out by leaving them a bad review. I hate when corporations do that. If they want to undercut the smaller fish, they have to pay for it and honour their own t&c

  • The $1100 off jb hi fi deal any good to cancel right after or did they fix that?

    • accroding to disscussion from comments in previous post, Telstra inscreased early termination fee and you only save less than $200, not worthy.

  • I wonder what people are upgrading from when they buy the iPhone 17 Pro. I have a 15 Pro and can’t see any reason to upgrade

    • I got a 17 pro. I came from a s23 ultra. The iPhones amazing. I wouldn’t bother if I had a 15 pro. Still a beautiful shape phone with plenty of the good stuff. I’ll upgrade when the next BIG camera upgrade comes. Variable zoom would do it for me. But nah, stick with 15 pro for sure.

    • The only real tangible reason to upgrade from a newer pro is the much improved thermals.

    • new iOS with some debuff will force you to upgrade.

      • The test will be iOS 26.4 when Apple Intelligence rolls out. But usually if your phone runs iOS fine today, it will do so until the next major update in September when the new iPhones comes out

Also iPhones runs iOS fine for years. The only exception was the battery gate scandal

    • upgraded from 14ProMax, battery had degraded to 81%, too close to dreaded 80% threshold where trade price falls off a cliff. managed a good deal with mobile guru making switching a no brainer. got silver 256 17Pro for $1820 at officeworks last week (PB mWave deal).
separately, much prefer the size of Pro vs Pro Max

      • +1

I love the Pro in my hand and pocket, but I love watching videos on the Pro Max more

  • $2k for a phone. Insane.

  • Should I wait for a better deal or jump to this? Stuck with a slow iPhone 13. changed battery too. still too laggy.

    • iphone price holds better than rare earth metal, at least wont be too much difference anyway.

usually the time matters more to me.

are you able to WAIT or some thing gonna happen you do need a new phone to live thru it.

  • Managed to get price matched over the phone for A$1,851.55 and will be travelling soon so hopefully with get through TRS. Thanks OP!!! My cracked iPhone 12 Mini will be retired haha
