Coles: Get $5/ $10/ $15/ $20 Cashback When You Spend $50/ $100/ $150/ $200 or More @ CommBank Yello (Activation Required)

1260

I got $5 off 50. Don't think this is a duplicate of the one listed in December since I've already used that offer. Cashout and purchasing gift cards has worked for me in the past

    $5 for 50 again

  • I keep getting 5 for 50.

Just do a split payment of 50

If you have an eligible debit card you can just get cashout for the required amount.

Self-checkout machines require purchase. A manned checkout or the service counter does not require purchase, however whether it's allowed depends on the store policy and the staff member you're dealing with.

Some stores/staff don't care while others do. I generally haven't encountered much difficulty with it, however waiting to be served can be a time-waster so I prefer using the self-checkout.

Self-checkout allows cashout after split payment, so you can pay for the total amount less $0.01 with a gift voucher or credit card, then pay the last $0.01 with debit card and get cashout then.

      • I just did this, and noticed they've started splitting the purchase and the cashout in the cards line item.

Mine says: "Coles Brisbane AU Cash out $100.00 Purchase $5.15"

Wonder if they've blocked this now.

Said that for me last time but still got cashback.

The cash out component has always been identified. Or if not literally always, then at the very least since July 2024.

          It makes no difference.

  • $30 off $200 spend

  • $10 off for $100 spend for me.

    • Same, wish it was 5/50 so could stack with the flybuys!

      • I'm 80% sure I read somewhere that multiple transaction will work, but I can't find it now. Can't remember if it was another yello deal or nab rewards where I read it from.

Targeted. Nothing for me this time.

  • 5/50

  • 30 for 200

  • $5 on $100 :(

    5 off 100, hard pass!

    • 5%? not sure you'd find a discounted gift card higher than this

      • +1

Not just 5%, but $5 straight in your pocket for withdrawing $100 from coles.

I mean the cost is the social anxiety of asking

  • Nothing again. Used to always get these.
Maybe don't get them as I did the buy a pack of crackers + cashout the rest.
Walked 50m and put it straight back into ATM as a deposit.

    • I did this last time and got it again today

      • Yeah I don't know then.
        I just hate CBA.

Worse bank to deal with…and by a significant margin. Somehow make Westpac feel amazingly pleasant.

  • I didn't get the cashback from last month's offer. I spent more than the required $50 on Jan 13th and the offer expired on Jan 14th without me getting $5 back. Not sure if it matters whether the transaction is pending or finalised by the offer expiry?

    • The system is not perfect and I've had one fail to come through after meeting the spend requirement (not cashout).

Contact CBA (call or make a complaint in the app) and they should be able to assist.

Piss weak $5/$100, what an insult!

  • Didn't get it this time ! Been spending much at Coles I think.

    zero offers

    how to trigger Yello offers?

    • Depends on your level. Mine says make 15 transactions to be eligible for next month.

      • +1

Is this as simple as an automated $1 payment to another bank every 2 days ?

        • +1

It is even easier. I just beem 1c back and forth with a friend lol

Or you can do split payment at coles/woolies for 1c 15 times.

          • @CodeXD:

            forth

would it work on paypal too

            • @capslock janitor: Give it a try. I find beem it more casual than Paypal.

I already have friends' beem when we go out and someone pays the whole bill.

            • +1

@capslock janitor: No need to use Beem or PayPal. Just transfer $0.01 multiple times via online banking or app to a non-CommBank account.

There are four Yello tiers each with different requirements, starting from a minimum of 5+ eligible transactions per month from an eligible account. Eligible transactions does include payments or transfers to non-CommBank accounts and third parties, as per the FAQ.

You'll only need 15+ transactions if you're going for Yello Plus, Yello Gold or Yello Diamond, which all have further qualifying criteria in addition to the 15+ transactions.

    • Are you asking how to qualify for Yello generally, or you've already qualified for Yello but have no offers?

If the latter, I'm not sure that anyone knows how to trigger offers to start appearing.

      • qualifying i guess its a newer thing ?
        thanks
have you found whether the higher/tiers are worth it? and how soon its active after eligible tyransactions
