  The specs say three speeds. I assume the specs are incorrectly pasted as this model should have 12 speeds per https://www.dimplex.com.au/en-au/40cm-dc-digital-pedestal-fa….

  The benefit of paying more for the DC fan is that you can find the perfect speed for the situation, rather than the useless three speed AC fans where two of for the speeds are invariably useless.

    Seems quieter than a pedestal fan and more stable. Has a remote and sleep timer.

  Seems comparable to this from Bunnings for $59

  Notable difference is 6 fan speeds vs 12 in this model.

  I have the 'smart' version of the Bunnings DC fan above and it has 25 speeds though it's not really perceivable having the speed so granular.
