  • Does this suck good?

    • +6

Depends how you like to be sucked

    • stronger than Dyson V8

    • Doesn't really suck unless you use it on max (and then it runs out of battery soon).

Like my old Dreame V9, it mainly picks up dust with the roller, which spins really fast. Build quality is lower than my old V9, with cheaper, thinner plastics used. I'd say suction power is lower too.

Nevertheless, it still works, and is decent for the price.

      • I have the V9. I bought the carpet head separately and it works really well on medium suction.
The included foam roller was only good for hard floors.

Interesting to know the build quality is not as good. I've been tossing up whether to buy a new battery or just a new vac.

Yes indeed, dont look behind at this price , i have smaller version around this price and does last long when vacuuming.
Remember to keep in a cool place when charging to increase battery life. Do not charge immediately after battety is drains after vaccuing as its heated, this applies to all battery oprated vaccume, from my experience.

Or any product with Li ion battery without thermal regulation. Including old Nissan Leaf.

solid advice, I have two near-identical vacuums, and I’ve found that not charging them immediately - allowing them to cool down first results in better battery life.

  • Thoughts on this for carpets for small studio apartment? I really don't have the space for a hefty vacuum cleaner so I need a stick vacuum that can do a sufficient job for carpets.

If this isn't great, drop a recommendation that isn't over $500

    • This would be perfect for that you can use it as a small handheld vacuum too by removing the pole

  • Thanks grabbed one

    • Likely comes out of the same factory but just on look alone, the aldi one looks lower spec. Aldi one also doesn't give any numbers either which could be a red flag. The dreame brand is pretty big on vacuums so if you ever get another one the parts will probably be interchangable

  • Anyone know how to find the height of the head on these things? We have a Shark that doesn't go under certain items of furniture in our house so looking for an alternative, have looked on the Dreame website and Amazon, google etc.

I just checked mine, tho sorry its now OOS. about 55mm at tallest point

      • Thanks.

  • Looks like it sucks.

  • FYI I picked up the Xiaomi one for the same price and love it.
    Not sure how this compares.

    • Link?

Just came back from china and dreame products are like the quality expensive shit over there. Nice show rooms too.

  • I think the Xiaomi parts can be used with dreame's vacuums (IIRC Xiaomi has a huge stake in dreame or something).

  • damn. any other good deals on stick vacs?

  • +1

Ordered 1 just now, showed 3 in stock

  • Got one of these previously and my thoughts are compared with Dyson's.

    Heavier.
Gets caught up/stops on thicker rugs. Dyson does not.
Battery does not last very long.

Else works well for the price.

  • is this a worthwhile upgrade from the dream v9? Had that for a few years and think probably need replace some things like filter or battery but thinking maybe just get a new model

  • It’s back
