      The new games are coming out this year (a remake of the original) and next year (a brand new game).

  Has been given away for free twice before, so check your Epic/Steam libraries beforehand

  And this isn't a spectacular price, currently $4.42 off Fanatical and even cheaper off key marketplaces unless you really want it from GOG…

  For future reference OP, buying through Steam directly is almost never the cheapest way to buy games

  Even if you want to avoid grey keyshops/marketplaces like Gamivo and Eneba which inherently carry more risk (though I've had zero issues with them over the years), there's still all the authorised/official stores like GMG and Gamebillet which will also typically have better pricing than Steam themselves

  I use gg.deals to find the best prices on games; it is the most comprehensive price comp site I have come across yet.

  As @CrispyChrispy rightly pointed out, it has been free before but they failed to mention that Prime Gaming gave away a GOG version in May 2024, so be sure and also check your GOG library as well.
