Damn, managed to get 2 of them 25 min ago.

No stock.

Umart is notorious for pricing error when they sell via marketplace. Just check there main website and you will likely see there is a huge discrepancy.

And do they cancel or fulfill?

They cancel

Still inflated RRP and it insta sells out ffs

yeah, because now your not only competing with data centers etc….now scalpers have jumped on it. Once scalpers are on it the little drips that make it's way to consumers get OOS instantly.

Yes These are all the DDR5 ram deals I've posted over the years and very little of them got more then 20 votes :) If posted today they would all be at around the 800 +1 vote mark haha

Ok? Cool I guess.

you get negged if you downvoted overinflated ram listings. ozb is probably full of scalpers.

"32 GB RAM for $170 is NOT a good deal no matter how much people try to scare you into thinking there is scarcity due to AI."

That aged very well indeed

I don't think it's real. Ordered this on Jan 7th and it was cancelled within 24 hours. Sorry.

What is with this ram price issue? Can someone plz bring me back up to speed?

Demand is higher than supply with most supply going to AI datacentres

to make all the AI slops videos.

Openai has contracted 40% of supply for the next year, and lots of vendors have straight up stopped making dram in favour of HBM for AI accelerators instead. Pretty bleak.

2 out of the 3 DDR5 manufacturers (Micron and SK Hynix) have both stated that they expect RAM prices to stay high until 2028.

Ram has really gone to shit ay. I paid $240 for a trident z 6400 32gb hynix a-die kit in sept 2024 - cl32-39-39-102. It's crazy that this bottom of the barrel trash ddr5 is a price error and more expensive than my kit now, for 1x16gb stick lol. If I was building a new pc today, I'd just go with z690 and ddr4 and buy some cheap samsung b-die off marketplace that'll last until ddr6.

OOS? Can only add to wish list
