Not the lowest price (by about $20) and they have been running this one on and off since December. This is also pricematched with JB Hi-Fi for those of you who would prefer that.

It's pretty clear they're liquidating stock in preparation for the global launch of the Air 4's on the 25th of Jan. Whether they drop the price further in a few days or merely sell out of old stock, who's to say? The differences between these two models are pretty marginal in any case, with the major ones being HDR support and B&O speakers. Some people report these as noticable improvements, while others say it's not worth the extra $60+ for the new model (based on the chinese model's price on Ali express etc). Not sure of the launch price of the Air 4's in Aus, so factor that into your purchase.

  • I've become mighty skeptical of the "RRP"s on Amazon - the trick is to find the deals where they have "WAS". E.g. "WAS: $699".

So it's a wired pair of glasses you connect to your phone via HDMI with port converters and a signal booster to watch tiktoks? What's the use case? I seem to be missing something, they seem like a solution hunting for a problem that doesn't exist…

    • +5

Not affiliated, I just own a pair.

It's a single USB-C cable if your phone/device supports DisplayPort over USB-C. If not, there are other devices like the RayNeo Pocket TV that give a Google TV experience.

They are good for playing games via Switch/Steam Deck/PC Handhelds/Laptop/Phone (streaming/emulation), watching movies/TV while travelling/lying down, or setting up virtual monitors on your laptop.

Packed away, they are only slightly larger than the size of a sunglasses case, so awesome for travel and very lightweight.

Yes mate because phones are only for watching tiktoks

Got it last week after the viture xr pro got cancelled.

    They are going back.

    Overhyped.
They really need 3DOF found in the higher end models, since every movement you make moves the screen.

Found I always had blurry or cropped edges no matter the adjustments due to small FOV.

Ok for gaming/movies but screen size is nowhere as big as what youtubers simulate.

    • So I use to have the Nreal Airs, and I found 3DOF wasnt enough to not make me feel sick. I really need 6DOF to keep that screen locked in place!

    • It really just comes down to cost - if you want 3dof, that's nearly double the price. If you want something for the occasional flight, or steamdeck screen while you're commuting, this will do fine.

  • I got the viture and actually really love them. Haven't had rayneo so can't compare, but the use-case for watching movioes in bed is great - and I presume on the airplane of course!
Viture have diopter adjustment which is why I chose them over Rayneo, so I don't need to get lenses or wear contacts for my slightly buggered eyes.
Other reason to go viture over Rayneo is that their cables are magnetically connected, so definitely safer to fall asleep in and not break the port, etc.

    • Another feature that I like on Viture Pro are electrochromic lenses that can be adjusted from a fully clear, transparent mode to a darkened, private viewing mode with one button click. I don’t think the Rayneo Air 3s has them.

      • good point. I bought the cover shade thing before they arrived, not actually knowing that it's virtually useless as they are very opaque. Then again, I use them at nighttime 99% of the time so perhaps haven't really required it yet.

    • I wish the Viture pros had a large size just like the Luma pro XR , I don't want to pay $699 for them lol

  • FYI The RayNeo Air 4 Pro are already out, but only in chinese for around $380-$420AUD probably can get it cheaper via coupons https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005010444642074.html

    • I think the 4 Pro just adds HDR mode

      • Quick AI comparison.

Looks to be better audio and HDR10 support

        Display & Visuals
The Air 4 Pro marks a major leap in visual fidelity by introducing HDR10 support, enabled by the proprietary Vision 4000 image quality chip. This allows real-time enhancements to contrast, color gamut, and brightness, resulting in more natural and cinematic visuals—especially noticeable in games like Mario Kart World and streaming content on Netflix. Users report that HDR mode makes the image feel closer to a physical screen, reducing the "digital" look common in AR displays.

In contrast, the Air 3s Pro lacks HDR and relies on standard SDR with AI upscaling. While still bright (1200 nits) and sharp, it doesn't match the depth and realism of the Air 4 Pro. Both use 1080p micro-OLED panels with a 46° field of view, but the Air 4 Pro’s processing gives it a clear edge in dynamic range and color accuracy.

Some users note firmware bugs in early Air 4 Pro units, with HDR mode occasionally crashing—though updates are expected to resolve this.

  • Can anyone who owns these comment on the user experience to replace an ultrawide monitor plus laptop screen, for office/productivity usage?

    • Wouldn't want to read small text on it… VR goggles would be better for that, higher res (more screen effectively) and 3DOF movement.

    • Not even close

    • They're more for movies / mobile gaming than productivity

  • I purchased from Amazon and decided to return after 5 min use. not worth the money at all. small screen and low quality . Sound quality is normal and I did not get to make satisfied to use it further
