    2 kg? Sheesh

    • Think it weighs 1.28kgs? Where did you get 2kgs from?

      • The big photo says 1.82kg

        • You're not wrong. The specs are all over the place!

          • @HappyPants: And you're right … Osprey Australia says 1.28kg. Someone fat fingered the conversion

            • @liam2040: Top lid pocket ('brain') is detachable, if you want to save another 100-150 gr

Varied by size of bag. 1.82kg is for large/XL

Great warranty with Osprey. I had a seam come undone on my 'very' well used 8-9yr old Farpoint 40. They asked for some photos, said it should be covered under warranty, gave me free postage and returned it good as new 3weeks later. The repair was that good I had to scratch my head to think where the problem had been.

Lifetime warranty! It's so good it's hard to believe.

    • I took my 22L Talon into Paddy Pallin as the lining was flaking on the inside and they sent it off to the repair centre. I think it was due to moisture being trapped on the inside from humidity or sweat. It came back with a repair quote of ~$150. Obviously didn't pay for it, rather just get a new pack. I can still use the bag though, just get a little dandruff on the items I place inside.

      • Did they replace the pack for free? The same thing is happening to my dad’s old pack.

        • Nah I didn't repair it, not if it costs as much as a bag when it's on sale. Maybe I should contact Osprey directly themselves though Paddy does have a direct relationship with them

          • @mustaful: Right. I just thought osprey might honour the lifetime warranty and replace it.

              • @mustaful: Thanks. Doesn’t sound promising at all. Though annoyingly the op never replied with how it went, it was someone else that chimed in saying they denied the warranty for them. As per that link, I’m going to suggest scrubbing it off and just using a pack liner, which is no big deal. It’s nots pack he really uses anymore anyway. Just the spare. Thanks again.

  • I have this bag and it's been awesome. I have used it for a few 3 night hikes and it fits what I need (just), and also took it to Nepal for a month and it was great there. It is pretty light (not ultralight) and is really comfy to carry with up to 15kg.

Shows as $406. Out of stock?

  • I have one of these that's been great on a number of multi day hikes. I have a semi-ultralight setup and it's good for about 4 days in 3 season use. I'll go a bigger pack if carrying more food or a winter kit.

Check the fit with this (or any pack obviously), niggles and pressure points might only be revealed with a load on a reasonable walk.

I wanted to love this after borrowing my buddies for an actual hike, but it was just sitting wrong and would’ve killed me on an overnighter.

for those who missed out: there are lighter, cheaper packs with ripstop material available on aliexpress. but yea, no warranty

Look for something like Naturehike Climbing Backpack 60+5L. Sometimes there are big deals for new users (just use a new email)

Osprey packs are absolutely epic. Sad I missed this - would have got it for my wife.

Their AG packs are nuts. Best one I've ever worn
