PureVPN: 130% Cashback for New PureVPN Customers (Excludes 5-Year Plan and Add-Ons, 1 Transaction Per Member) @ TopCashback AU

2320

2026 💰🎁 Everyone is eligible to buy for profit (1 transaction per member. Use a new email). I checked with TA.

Offer starts on Friday 23rd Jan 12am AEDT & ends on Sunday 25th Jan 11:45pm AEDT.

My Tips: (Credit to TA)

  • Choose Max 2-year plan (+ 3 months) US$95.85 for the best value. Shows total reduced to US$86.27 but is charged US$95.85. Do NOT grab the 5-year plan offer that may pop up. 5-year plan and add-ons are ineligible for cashback.
  • Use a new email for PureVPN if purchased before. You can use the Gmail trick with dot or plus. Same payment card is fine.
  • Pay with a card without international transaction fees if possible.
  • The tracked amount in your TopCashback account will be slightly lower than what you are charged. This is probably due to the currency conversion fees/taxes as PureVPN reports in USD which is converted to AUD. 130% cashback minus the fees/taxes.
  • If you use PayPal AU, PayPal AU may charge a currency conversion fee. It seems not possible to change the currency to USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD. These fees are ineligible for cashback.
  • If you use Revolut, there is a weekend fee (1%) for standard customers.
  • Tracking is usually within an hour although rarely it may take up to a few hours.
  • If your order doesn't track, please cancel and request for a refund from PureVPN within 31 days under their 31-day money-back guarantee. Please don't submit a missing cashback claim. Refer to "File a refund"
  • If you cancel for non-tracking, you can buy again. Use a new email address for PureVPN with the same TopCashback account. Same payment card is fine.
  • You can cancel auto-renewal/subscription after you have received cashback.

PureVPN seems to include a FREE eSIM with the Max plan:

  • Older accounts have a free 3GB eSIM (for 30 days) that is available in many countries. Credit to @Ni l s who saw this when login to the PureVPN app and informed me.
  • Newer accounts have a free 3-day unlimited eSIM mentioned by @cheapass88
  • The free 3-day unlimited eSIM for this new account could take a few days to show up.

For better tracking, use the TopCashback app, click the "Get 130% Cashback" pink button to the PureVPN website (not app), use mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and Chrome browser.

TA's Tracking Tips:

  • Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave and close any additional browser tabs.
  • For iOS device: Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • Cashback is eligible only on 1-year, 2-year, and monthly plans (Standard, Plus, Max). Cashback is ineligible on 5-year plan, Teams multi-user plans, and/or add-ons.
  • Only one (1) PureVPN purchase is permitted per member every 21 days (3 weeks). Check your TopCashback account to confirm last purchase date.
  • PureVPN is excluded from all signup and referral bonus thresholds. Reference the Tell-a-Friend terms for more information.
  • Cashback is ineligible on payments made with Crypto currency.
  • Cashback can only be earned by customers opening a new PureVPN account. Renewals are ineligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any gift cards, vouchers, or store credit for partial or full payment. Cashback is also ineligible on purchase of any gift cards.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • Cashback is calculated and paid on the advertised cost of the plan only. It will exclude upsold products, GST, other taxes, credit card or PayPal surcharges.
  • PureVPN orders report to your account excluding GST and other taxes, and may show a further difference in purchase amount due to international conversion rates. This is beyond our control.
  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, DNS AdGuard, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • Accept and allow all 3rd party cookies on the retailer's page if requested.
  • Return to TopCashback to click the 'Get Cashback' button for each new transaction.
  • Transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted or negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

If you're not familiar, cashback is usually paid in about 3 months. Estimated payable is up to 16 weeks. You can see the estimated payable when you click "+" on the transaction in your Earnings page.

Here is a summary of my PureVPN transactions in 2025:

    • 25 Dec Purchase - Pending
    • 29 Nov Purchase x 2 - Confirmed on 6 Jan
    • 7 Nov Purchase - Confirmed on 6 Jan
    • 27 Sep Purchase - Paid on 10 Dec
    • 26 Aug Purchase - Paid on 4 Nov
    • 11 July Purchase - Paid on 4 Oct
    • 13 June Purchase - Paid on 6 Sep
    • 16 May Purchase - Paid on 14 Aug
    • 18 April Purchase - Paid on 11 July
    • 1 March Purchase - Paid on 31 May
    • 18 Jan Purchase - Paid on 17 April

Ref: What do the statuses 'pending', 'confirmed' and 'payable' mean?

    • Worth risking it if it is yet in pending status?
      I assume 18 Jan is 2025, not 2026?

      • +1

Yes that was 2025 as mentioned. Cashback is paid in about 3 months. It's not a risk as that's normal payment time for most retailers.

Here is a summary of my PureVPN transactions in 2025:

        • -1

With tomorrow, that's over $1000 'invested' for just under $200 profit. Getting riskier looks like.

          • @RTX9090Ti: But most have already been paid out or confirmed. So from the transaction list looks low risk to me?

            • @Chocobros:

              looks low risk to me

Look again. Op outlaid say $100, CB is ~$20. Note the "Paid" amounts are only around 20% of the outlays that are o/s.

              • @ihbh: I looked again. You are stating something different to me.

                8 paid out, 2 confirmed, 1 pending.

Whether there is good value in purchasing it in the first place or not is a different question to risk of it being paid out.

                • @Chocobros: 8 paid out - say $20 each time = $160

                  2 confirmed, 1 pending - say $100 each time = $300.

There is $300 at risk vs $160 paid out. The cash back part is small compared to the total payment.

            • -1

@Chocobros: What are the chances they run away with your money once it passed Cancellation period and before it was paid?

    • -1

      The 🐐

    • Do you know how long after confirmed it takes to change to payable? I did 7th November and also for confirmed same day as you but not payable yet.

      • @JAF I usually count from purchase date as per the history and is about 3 months. If it follows the same pattern, the Nov orders would be paid next month in Feb. Estimated payable is up to 16 weeks so it does allow for delays.

The Oct orders were paid on Mon 19 Jan and it's about 3 months too. It's not in my history as I didn't purchase.

      • yeah 7 Nov not paid yet, its overdue.

        • @RTX9090Ti As mentioned, 7th Nov order is not overdue for payment. It has been confirmed on 6th Jan and due for payment around 7th Feb (with the historical 3 month payment schedule). Estimated payable is up to 16 weeks anyway.

    • OP was able to make 11 claims in 2025. Can someone explain the business model here? I really don't understand why this deal is offered so often with more than 100% Cashback.

      • +3

PureVPN may receive money from selling data. Also hoping many people forget to cancel subscription, so more money.

VPN is a big business worth multi million dollars with sizable subscribers. Certain companies are really dodgy.

        • +1

^ Exactly what I was thinking. People talk about their privacy so often on here, but to make a few bucks will sell out instantly lol

          • @Danstar: I don't use this VPN and I use a separate browser for this kind of transactions.

Just for profit ;-) every month x 12 in a year + Topcashback for PureVPN cashback transactions in other countries 😋 not bad to cover other purchases/living cost.

            • -2

@neoleo: They'll still have your info. Whether it be your email, payment details or something else. As they say, once it's on the internet, it's on there forever.

          • +1

@Danstar: This is true however my email is already on HaveIbeenpwned so they can have it if they want lol

  • -6

    Mulvad is best?

    • +9

PureVPN is best for earning cashback profit.

  • +3

Last time mine didn't track, but I cancelled it. The cancellation process is kinda annoying. They will ask you multiple questions about why you want to before they go through with it. Gotta be persistent

    • +1

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/17225048/redir

Follow my tips. I never fail for this PureVPN cashback tracking. I have done this so many times ;-)

      • +1

        Use secure DNS: Automatic

Might be better to force it to use Cloudflare or Google otherwise it might use the system's DNS.

        • System's DNS is your telco or ISP DNS. Still ok, I think. Unless if you don't want your ISP/telco know your browsing history.

          • @neoleo: If someone has Adguard Home/Pihole, it might go through that.

        • Smartest move is to use an unfiltered DNS from the list here to make absolutely sure nothing is blocked

          I prefer quad9

  • 7th November purchase should be getting paid out soon?

    • They better be, the frequency is getting too often so they get more of your money fast before paying the cashback later.

    • +1

After they get all the money from the promotion tomorrow they will pay us out

    • Topcashback in different country may have different policy for this as they are separate entities. My PureVPN Italy purchase on 29 November had been paid already, faster than Topcashback in other countries ;-)

Don't worry, we'll get the cashback eventually for tracked purchases.

  • I actually need a VPN. Is PureVPN worth installing? or just good for the cashback?

    • +1

I’m actually waiting for Nordvpn, mainly because Purevpn was a hit and miss for my use case before

    • Its pretty bad, but it does work.

    • +4

if you actually intending on using this personally, id say no. Stay away from it.
I dont think theres anything ranked higher than mullvad in terms of privacy. You can even sign up with cash in an envelope with your payment token written down.

      • +1

Pro tip: Make sure you wear gloves when handling the envelope, and don't lick to seal it, obviously.

    • It's been sufficient for me.

Was previously with PIA, which was a little quicker from my experience.

    • I'm using PureVPN at work to play CODM. No issue with it.

    • Use it to catch the helicopter to Turkiye, no problems

    • I've been with them for years up until recently.
      Don't do it.
Also, Kill switch didnt work sometimes. Their customer service said even though it doesn't cut the internet connection it still works…righteo. I cancelled right away.

  • +1

Forgive my ignorance if I’m incorrect but is the constant PureVPN cashback deals every 1-2 months not giving the vibe of a Ponzi scheme?

  • -3

Unfortunately doesnt work in china. Minimal support provided for troubleshooting. Disappointing!

    • +3

I got the same "VPN didn't work in China" comments when I posted other VPN companies. Most VPNs don't appear to work in China including NordVPN.

    • How about Astral VPN?
Hong Kong or Singapore sim card? (need transit in Hong Kong or Singapore)
      Certain esim?

I think I read somewhere in the past about this

      • HK isn't behind the firewall, though does block a few social media things.
Most reliable is a travel esim so you just don't have to worry about wifis. HK needs a passport ID verification thing though, which only takes 5 min unless it goes wrong.

Do always use a VPN on public wifis though. Even a sus VPN provider is less sus than public wifis.

    • Windscribe FTW
      (not sponsored)

      • Windscribe also does not work in China. The only one so far that's guaranteed to work is LetsVPN.

        • You need to use their WStunnel protocol

      • Windscribe is free for low bandwidth plans, with no email or phone number needed for signup.

    • Did things change? I tried both PureVPN and NordVPN last year in China; NordVPN didn't work at all, but PureVPN did.

  • how much is the profit roughly this time?

    • +2

As the plan is discounted, the profit is a bit less. Probably similar to December's offer which is AU$33.49. It also varies with the USD to AUD currency conversion at the time of purchase when PureVPN reports to TopCashback.

    • +9

      @mkowarkski Profit is AU$33.46

      • Bought Max 2-year plan (+ 3 months) US$95.85 (Shows reduced to US$86.27 but is charged US$95.85)
      • Tracked in 20 mins
      • Paid AU$142.53 (Using card without foreign fees i.e. Macquarie Bank)
      • Tracked AU$135.37 (Excludes currency conversion fees, GST etc)
      • Cashback AU$175.99 (130% of $135.37)
      • Profit AU$33.46 ($175.99 less $142.53)
  • +1

Any tips for emails? Every time I try the Gmail dot trick it doesnt go through

    • Will ask @neoleo

    • +5

I still use dot trick for gmail. Maybe problem with your payment method. I always use Wise virtual card behind Paypal as PureVPN cannot see card numbers behind Paypal. Try Paypal if your card payment cannot go through this transaction.

      Normal email like
      crackman@gmail.com
      c.rackman@gmail.com
      cr.ackman@gmail.com
      cra.ckman@gmail.com
      crac.kman@gmail.com
      crack.man@gmail.com
      crackm.an@gmail.com
      crackma.n@gmail.com

All incoming emails will go to crackman@gmail.com

      • Unfortunately we cannot process your request at the moment. Also tried PayPal. Otherwise creating a new email is ok. Just bothersome to actually create!

This was the message I got previously when I tried the dot trick.

        • +1

Just did the dot trick and it worked for me. Perhaps try the dot on a different email.

          • +2

            @trixieb: I use the + method:
            Crackman+purevpn1@gmail.com
Crackman+purevpn2@gmail.com and so on and works every time
Using the same revolut card everytime directly works so far

            • @roshanrbb:

              • trick works for a proton mail account. Might just do that from now
              • @crackman: I'm not familiar with Proton mail but there are comments of PureVPN rejecting Proton email from Proton Pass e.g. here. Payment is rejected when PureVPN rejects the email and unrelated to the payment method used.

                • @trixieb: oddly enough, the comment above had the same error message I had when I tried the Gmail trick.

in any case, i got an email as a 'new customer' so it has worked

                • @trixieb: That comment might be referring to Proton pass emails which are specifically used to mask real emails using a @passmail.com alias with random gibberish text, which are probably why they're blocked. Actual Proton mail addresses use a different domain (@proton.me, @protonmail.com etc) with an alias you choose.

        • Try to "Delete browsing data" if using Chrome mobile browser for example.
          Time range: All time
          ✓ Cookies and site data
          ✓ Cache images and files
          ✓ Site settings

Clear this browsing data. Adjust accordingly if different browser

        • I create a new email using hidemyemail from iCloud. Much easier than creating an actual gmail.

        • Make sure you don’t use autofill from your password manager if you save it there first. Cause issues like this with me before. Manual typing email and password worked out better.

  • Do not use Wise under USD payment. Thry do not take your USD money they take your AUD dollar instead when checking out

    • Do you mean using via PayPal AU? I avoid PayPal as it has charged me additional currency conversion fee.

      • Well I tried the method neoleo used. I topped up my Wise account with AUD then pre-convert to USD before checking out. I then paid via PayPal linked to Wise card directly at checkout and it charged me AUD not USD even though I had enough funds in USD

Wise converted my USD back to AUD and then paid it like that. Very confusing and don't know why their PayPal checkout which they don't allow to select use banks conversion. Even then it should charge in USD not AUD

        • It does my head in. Just pay with Wise directly.

          • @trixieb: I know right I will just use Macquarie bank again not sure if you can provide same credit card details same as previous cashback ones do they care?

            • @neonlight: If same card payment can go through, it should be ok. If payment cannot go through, maybe because of the card or email address

            • @neonlight: Same payment card is fine. I will also use Macquarie bank. Just need a new email for cashback.

              • @trixieb: Ok cool I will do that

I hear you can use . for Gmail or + to ignore characters after the +

                • @neonlight: @neoleo knows more about the gmail trick. He uses dot mentioned here.

                • @neonlight: Dot trick works. Purchased and tracked.

                  • @trixieb: Thanks for confirming. I went a purchased wit ha differnt email but same Macqaurie bank card.

Lets see if it tracks and allow magic to happen again.

The only thing is once tracked and gone to pending can you safely disable auto renewal?

Also I found out if you previous used an email to sign up, it will warn you that you already have a plan, that should give you an indication not to proceed and use a different email address…I used a different email after it popped up so I wonder if this will track

30 mins not tracked yet….getting worried

YES all ok with this 4th time doing so! :)

                    $174.03 Pending
                    Tracked $133.87
                    Paid: $141.98
                    Profit $32.05

It needed about 35 minutes to track

                    • @neonlight: As a regular buyer, I prefer to cancel the subscription after cashback is paid in case of any issues.

                  • @trixieb: Dot trick worked for me, tracked in under 45mins.

    • I think this problem may happen when you don't have USD balance in Wise account for example.

      Try this:
USD balance amount bigger than any other currencies (USD will move to the left side before any other currencies).
      or
Only enough USD balance in Wise account

      • I had enough funds though. It went and convert USD to AUD and because Wise charged me during the conversion from USD to AUD it actually made me lost some money end up not enough AUD and went used another backup payment with the PayPal balance. I did not tick to use existing balance. Because if your existing PayPal balance is in AUD the system will convert your money to AUD but 100% sure it's not ticked and meant to use full amount stated in USD via PayPal linked to Wise but Wise could not be set to use USD first.

        • In my experience, Wise will use currency according to the website preference. For example, I paid for Kickstarter in Hong Kong Dollar, then Wise used my HKD balance. AliExpress can be set in USD, then Wise used USD balance, etc.

          • @neoleo: Yeah honestly I don't know what went wrong. Unless because I had balance in AUD on PayPal and it tried to use that first. However there was a similar problem another ozbargainer faced in the December thread. Anyway I will just use Macquarie bank card to avoid all these confusions. Right now I got USD 1.60 remaining lol dunno what to do with it maybe buy something cheap from AliExpress

    • I used wise with Paypal, (google pay doesnt work anymore) it worked fine. I don't pre convert and it usually settles at a better rate than Mastercard and visa daily rates.

      • With PureVPN, PayPal AU seems to charge additional currency conversion fees (including using a card without international transaction fees). PureVPN doesn't have the switch to payment in USD at checkout page (unlike AliExpress).

Hence the discussion about pre-converting the currency for PureVPN but some people still got charged extra fees. It's a bit confusing and not as straight forward as paying for AliExpress with PayPal.

  • Where do I find the esim?

    • +1

In the app, pretty hard to miss it.

      • +1

Oh i haven't even used the app lol.

Just tested and it's 3gb for 3 days only on mine.

I wonder if we can use different accounts on same phone..

        • +1

          3 days unlimited??

          Confirm Location

You're about to claim your 3-day unlimited eSIM offer for Australia.

Your plan will activate automatically once you arrive at destination.

          NO / CONFIRM

          • +1

@battler: Oh yeh. My older account had 3gb, the newer one is unlimited for 3 days

            • @cheapass88: Will ask @Ni l s if his eSIM has changed to unlimited for 3 days with the newer accounts too.

              • +1

@trixieb: I just made a new purchase and there doesn't seem to be a free esim. They're all paid plans

              • +1

@trixieb: Actually don’t see any eSIM offer with this new account. Will check again later and update, maybe it takes a minute after signing up.

                • @Ni l s: Maybe try on another device or need to reset the device, so new device ID. Not sure if adding multiple android user accounts could work for this. Or maybe android emulator in computer.

                  @cheapass88 too

                  • @neoleo: i can see the free esim on a few accounts on the same device. (I haven't added it to my phone esim though) i will be going overseas in March, so I can test it then
