    Can't even spell budgie right.

Presumably because if they'd spelled it right it would have been a generic name and they wouldn't have rights to the name,

    • From their website:

People ask us why "budgy smuggler", not "budgie smuggler"? We wish we had a good answer.

Two of our favourite explanations are the impressive sounding, "it has to do with trademark law, you wouldn't understand it", and the mysterious sounding "we're not detail people, we are concept people".

The sad fact is, we only realised the incorrect spelling after it was too late to change back again.

For anyone else concerned about the Tasmanian salmon industry, consider Norwegian or Danish as a better farmed alternative.
