No spike a pain if on the lawn but no issue at the beach eh? Can force through the sand down a long way if you only want to sit or lay under it.
Can you buy a spike and screw to attach to the bottom pole????

I leave them on the beach for others to use, especially the wildlife. Sometimes they get washed out to sea but I know they end up on the shore of less privileged and needy countries like Tasmania.
Saw them marked down to $4 at my local yesterday if you're up in the NT. Quite a few, maybe 2 boxes worth.
Warning. We bought a few. They're sht.
There's no screw tip to the pointed part of the base. The darn umbrellas get caught by the wind, we always find them all over the yard. With a few new holes from the spokes too (hard to describe)
