$16.80 a for chicken tenders is ridiculous even at 40 % off .

    • On top of that, one of the chicken tender flavor's (I cannot remember which one) was insanely salty last time I had it 8 or so months ago.
I have no idea how they are even selling a product that tastes like it was dunked in the ocean and endorsed by King Neptune.

    • 8 tenders(400g) for $8 with free drink(survey) at the chicken conglomerate.

Thanks, but I’ll stick with the Aldi Paper Towel Double Length 3 Ply 3 Pack regular price for $4.89. No waiting for Colesworth “50% off sales”.

    • I haven't tried Aldi's. How does it hold up? Particularly with drying steak or other meat - does it come off in one piece?

Nong Shim Black is the deal here, time to stock up again

Finally the Tuffys are on precovid sale prices again!

Precovid prices but shrunk in size. Inflation catching up.

I have always used Tuffy even before covid and always stock up when on sale. Hard to go back to any other brand.

      • Did they really shrink in size?! Wow that's disappointing.

Tried Tuffy for the first time recently and it made me realise how terrible every other paper towel is.

  • Tuffy $2.50 = $1.39 per 100 sheets.

  • I usually get Quilton Absorba from Amazon which is also 4-ply. Are they optimised for slightly different purposes? E.g. Absorba for absorbing oil from food/cooking, and this for general wipe, etc? Please share if you have used both. Asking to see if there is benefit in getting some, and dedicate them to specific purposes.

Edit: Also asked chatGPT - this was what it said:

Quilton Absorba: Premium general-purpose kitchen paper towel (4-ply). Designed for broad spill-soak jobs with strong absorbency and good wet strength.

Quilton Tuffy: A “tougher” 4-ply paper towel with a rugged feel and a weave built to be extra strong, especially when wet. Marketed for heavy-duty cleaning as well as typical household spill jobs.

Last time I bought the absorba ones, the gluing of the sheets were really bad and would come off, making the 4ply kinda useless. Stopped buying them for a while and just used the Strike Pro double lengths (only 3ply but still very cost effective).

When I used to buy the Tuffys, I remember I could reuse some of the paper towels - that's how good they were.

      • Thanks. Yes, I noticed the 4th ply of the Absorba can peel off.

  • Thanks OP

  • Last batch of tuffy i bought, one of the plys was separate. Not the first time it happened either.

    • Looks like the same thing with the absorba range from Amazon. I meant they're the same thing so it makes sense…

  • Thanks OP. Max 36 packs of Tuffy :)
