  • I quite like this one - pretty spicy if you use all of the spicy sauce provided but the cheese packet somewhat balances the spice. Overall it’s nice and flavourful and not spicy just to be spicy.

    • Good for you, I only use half the sauce packet and I still have to wash it down with full cream milk.

    • I stopped using it because it contains too many chemicals.

      • Yeah this has made me only consume instant noodles occasionally nowadays.

      • What chemicals make noodles unsafe?

They are a very popular snack that seem to be ok for most people to consume (ignorant surface level comment)?

        • Based on nutritional data, Buldak hot sauce is not considered a healthy food and is classified as an ultra-processed product. While it is fine to consume in strict moderation as a flavor enhancer, it provides no significant nutritional value and contains ingredients that can be detrimental to health when consumed regularly or in large amounts.
          Unhealthy Ingredients and Additives
Buldak hot sauce contains several ingredients of concern, particularly those linked to processed food consumption:
High Fructose Corn Syrup & Corn Syrup: Used as sweeteners, these contribute to high sugar intake without nutritional value.
Artificial Chicken Flavor: An artificial additive used to create the savory taste.
Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) & Disodium Inosinate/Guanylate: Flavor enhancers that contribute to the high sodium content and may be of concern for those with sensitivity.
Soybean Oil: A refined vegetable oil.
Silicon Dioxide: A synthetic anti-caking agent.
Artificial Colorings: Added for color consistency.
Why It Is Bad for the Body
The primary health risks associated with Buldak sauce include:
Extremely High Sodium: A one-cup serving can contain over 4,000 mg of sodium, which is nearly 180% of the recommended daily value. Consuming high amounts of sodium regularly is linked to heart disease, high blood pressure, and kidney disease.
Extremely High Capsaicin (Spice Level): The high level of capsaicin—the compound that creates the heat—has caused issues such as stomach pain, vomiting, and nausea. In 2024, Denmark recalled some Buldak products due to risks of "acute poisoning" from the high capsaicin concentration.
Irritation of the Digestive Tract: Regular consumption of extremely spicy food can irritate the stomach lining, potentially leading to gastritis or gastric ulcers.
No Nutritional Value: The sauce is essentially salt, sugar, and artificial flavors, lacking fiber, protein, or essential vitamins.
          Potential Concerns
Cancer Risk Warning (Prop 65): Some, though not all, studies and consumer warnings (like in California) suggest that processed, highly spiced products can contain trace amounts of substances requiring a, though often precautionary, warning about potential cancer risk.
Kidney Damage: The high sodium levels may raise the risk of kidney stone formation.

Me when my spicy sauce has a high spice level 😨

His argument is AI generated drivel

A one-cup serving can contain over 4,000 mg of sodium, which is nearly 180% of the recommended daily value.

One cup being 250g which is more than this bottle contains and 42 times the recommended serving amount of 6g…

            • @gakko: anyone can ask chatbots these things, stop trying to gain attention by posting this type of drivel everywhere

              • @Freestyle: Yeah I agree it was a bit much in retrospect.

  • try this Buldak sauce with cooked eggs..

  • I read it Samsung at first, then sauce made me read it again.

    • I was wondering KFC was clearing out bottles of Samsung sauce… this weather is doing my brain in.

  • They're noodles?

  • I would not risk traversing springvale for a deal

  • This sauce goes great on toasted sangas & wraps too. Recommend double dipping with some coconut sriracha 👌

  • Can’t believe some want to debate whether noodles fried in dodgy oils are ok

  • Go to KFL Springvale for the cheap hot sauce, stay for the entertainment of the wall of shame.

    • Yeah they really need to let it go. Imagine pinching something 10 years ago and they’re still hunting u down over a stolen avocado.

      • Naah, it’s regularly updated.

        I’m all for it.

Bigger deterrent than cameras or cops.

  • Not a fan of these. Unlike other instant Noodles, these seem to give off a really strong smell of industrial oil when boiling the noodle.

    • This isn't noodles though. Just the sauce.
