What kinda music are yalls listening to with these bad boys? And why is it a flac folder of Britney Spears greatest hits?

      You're so toxic

(I was serious about the Britney Spears though - found my old Sony Walkman NWA25 and paired with dt770 head phones - currently listening to Britney Spears catalogue - pretty good but I can see why bt headphones and high res streaming killed this market for the casual user like myself)

Fair enough. The last things I listened to was Public Image Limited, Neurotic Outsiders, The Stranglers & Janes Addiction on Saturday, while having a beer in the garage.

@revheadgl: I saw Janes Addiction at Tipatina's in NOLA. It was a Tuesday night, I didn't know who they were and there were less than 50 people there. I was hooked. Next time I saw them was at the Metro. Still a killa show.

Brittles had some decent songs tbh

  • They look pretty good,

  • hoping our ozbargain audiophile commentators will chime in with some thoughts on these. Quickly scanned www reviews which seemed positive. But we've seen edifier p17s for $70, while I also wonder if s350db 2.1 would be a better option saving me the hassle of wiring up one of my existing modest amps (and not too much more money if on sale).

I'm pretty sure these really sold for $400 so this is more like $100 off.

Good value for a small room or a desktop setup. Also consider the Q Accoustics 30 series on sale.

  • Any speaker can perform decent with a bit of placement and tuning, a2a offers demo so go listen to it before buying, just like your jeans, try before buy.

Good speakers for the price but if you want a bigger sound go for the Elacs at $449 or another hundred gets you the bigger brothers which are slightly larger & will definitely fill the room.

  • What amp would pair well with this?

going by this, pretty much anything

one of them china aiyima's fosi etc.

or a HT receiver you picked up off the side of the road

    • Fosi v3 is a good affordable performer. Note this listing includes a 32v psu not a 48v, but that should be fine for this set.

get a Wiim, really great value for the money & $459 off eBay.

    • +1

can echo this. Had a $150 china amp and thought it was doing a good job for my pc. Picked up a Wiim Vibelink and a usb - optical adapter for $399 in the black friday sales and holy moly, its like i have a totally different set of speakers.

  • Excellent price. Very good speakers for the size/price, I had them for a couple of year sitting on my entertainment unit in a very big room. These speakers punch way above their weight for sounds output and volume. Forgiving placement, no toe in required, work really well on rubber feet (rather then needing stands). Bang for buck, even when paying closer to RRP.

Don't recommend buying from this mob if you're expecting aftersales support or acl.

    • +2

I just had a good experience with them with me returning a set of maxwell 2 headphones. But i think i may have got lucky from what i'm hearing. Which is annoying because they sell some good stuff there!

  • Can anyone recommend these for a PC?

    • +4

for most people just go with a 2.0 or 2.1 from edifer

prob. half the price, performance is acceptable and you get an amp and BT thrown in

    • They only have these available via their Marketplace (don't price match on marketplace) and the only marketplace store to stock them is "Addicted to Audio" which is where OP post is from anyway.
