For my fellow Ozbargain content creators. There is a way to get a cheaper subscription for Capcut! Note: This only works for newly created accounts under a VPN.

This deal assumes that you have created a Turkish apple account. Below are steps for reference taken from another Turkish iOS hack post.

Create a Turkish Apple ID (appleid.apple.com) (no VPN required at this stage)

Follow the onscreen steps. In the mobile number section use your Australian mobile number (Very important to use a valid number or risk losing your ID). Choose country as Turkey. Then follow through the rest to create your ID. Login into Apple ID on a browser. Go to this(appleid.apple.com) link to enter a Turkish address to your Turkish Apple ID, select payment method as none and save.

  • Go to Settings on your iPhone/iPad > Your Name > Media and Purchases > Log out from your current ID and login with your Turkish Apple ID
  • Buy TL iTunes gift cards from TurGame(turgame.com) > Choose currency as TL/TRY and pay with international transaction fee free card.
  • Redeem iTunes gift cards(apple.co) by going to App Store > Account (located at right top corner) > Redeem gift cards or code
  1. Enable your VPN and set the location to Turkey (I used Nord)
  2. Download the Capcut app.
  3. Create a new account using an email, do not use anything else. You can still sign up using a Gmail account but don't click on Sign in with Google.
  4. Go to your profile and and upgrade to a Pro license.
  5. Select your subscription option
  6. Remember to cancel the sub in the App Store
  7. You can sign into other devices and use it (Desktop, Tablet etc)

    While the original post needs a massive price refresh, activating your Turkish iOS passport is well worth the little bit of effort needed. The dividends definitely pay off.

        Just a bit of a play on words - "to travel to another country, you need a passport". What you're essentially doing is creating a new Apple ID with Turkish residency details so you can take advantage of the Turkish pricing. It takes a little bit of time and effort to get the whole process up and running, and switching Apple IDs between AU and TR can be a little bit of a pain going from one to the other. Then there's the gift cards you need to purchase and load up. The smaller the gift card amount, the more often you'll likely need to add more credit. I tend to dump ₺2500 to ₺3000 into the account and then draw down from that.

        But with all that said and done, it's 100% worth it for me because the 'Australia tax' is insane. For example, M365 is $16/month when paid in AUD. I'm barely scratching $0.80/month AUD. And ToDoist Pro is ~$16/year versus $108.

          If anyone has an old Apple device lying around, you can keep that permanently signed in with your Türkiye Apple ID. This is dependent on purchasing family subscriptions that you can connect to the apps running on the device(s) with your main Apple ID.

            @Strahany: The problem is sometimes you can't update or download apps i.e. I can't download word because the iPad is too old. So stupid.

          I have an address in Turkiye
          I have an active Turkish SIM Card
          I have Turkish bank account and card etc
          I have a VPN subscription
          I have a phone to use all these

          If I open an Apple ID in TR and purchase the subscription of an app, can I use it on my AU Phone with AU Apple ID? Youtube blocked this usage.

            @wrx5: As long as you've paid for the subscription via the TR Apple ID, you can have your AU Apple ID signed in to the App Store and/or your Apple Account on your device - it'll work either way I can use YT Premium with all benefits regardless of which Apple ID is signed in.

              @KangaDrew: YouTube cancelled my premium subscription due to not being and using in the originally purchased country. I was using Turkish Apple ID with Turkish home address an payments were getting made from Turkish bank account. Still… cancalled

                @wrx5: You're not using a bank account or debit card for payments using this method - you're using gift cards.

    @Emphasise is it the teams plan "Yillik" that you've posted above?

    It's the only plan I can see that matches 2299.99. There are no plans under the pro tab that matches that price.
