Now to retire my ancient original Fitbit Inspire original 2019 model which has been faultless and missed no beats.

Best off buying from ow and they usually replace or refund within 2y with next to no questions asked. They aren't with issues but YMMV.
The charge 6 has been good for years. Only issue with the 5 is it wouldn't turn on but you shouldn't use high powered (PD) chargers. Was still refunded.
Two of ours also failed within two years as well, and both had constant freezing/unresponsiveness that required a reset via the charger. If it froze while we were away from home, we couldn’t do anything until we got back, which made it pretty much useless. Because of this, I can’t recommend it.
well to talk it up, i am impressed so far - with the features of 1. notifications 2. wallet 3. shows maps turn by turn
Ugggh I walked into officeworks to price match at opening and the google store has increased the price to $259.95.
Amazon has it for $159 if you need it badly. I tried to price match at JB this morning and noticed the price increase.
I just sold my Apple Watch recently because I like wearing my traditional watches and I thought i could buy a Fitbit to wear it on my ankle while I still wear my traditional watches. The price increase is probably a sign that I don’t need it.
Heh, can wear it on your other hand, it's pretty minimal. I used to and sometimes do, but mostly to track sleep (easy to know if I'm walking much or not).
unreal luck for me buying yesterday in that case - Amazon price still ok
i wear traditional watch with the fitbit on same arm (yes weird) - another reason i like the Charge as it is sort of thin
2 of my fitbit brokedown after 1-2 years usage. swtiched to cheaper huawei band and worked well.
