  • Do you have anything that does Canada rather than the USA?

    • Like into Vancouver and out of Toronto? Completely missing the US for some reason? 😀

      • Something like that.

      • What if the orange king invade Canada by that time?

    • Came here to ask the same thing

    • There is no single airline that can take you around the world via Canada.

    • Unfortunately SQ exited Canada many years ago, otherwise I would have been interested too!

    • I came here to post the same thing…

      • Australians don't get shot by immigration officers.

          • @Andard: The woman did not try to run over the ICE officer. That is a lie that the Trump regime has perpetuated to justify murdering an American citizen. She was steering away from the guy.

            • @try2bhelpful: Let's do a little experiment.

Get in your car and drive to a police operation that is underway. Park your car directly obstructing the police operation. When the officers repeatedly order you to get out of the car, ignore them. When a policeman stands in front of your car , now is your time to shine: Ignore the constant orders to get out of your car and accelerate.

Let's see if it's an American/Trump thing or if in fact, accelerating while a police officer is in front of your car telling you to get out of your car is dangerous to your life.

              • @Andard: Except what you are saying is not actually what happened. Stop believing the lies the Trump administration is feeding you. Even the NRA are querying why Trump’s not following the rule of law in protest situations. Trump’s thugs inflame à situation hoping for a response so they can get violent. Then they try to sell the general public lies and demonise people. The world is getting wise to them, but there will always be mindless followers who don’t use critical thinking. It would help he Donny was the least bit articulate or intelligent but he just isn’t.

                • @try2bhelpful: There’s literally body cam footage now released showing exactly that. And she hits the cop.

Don’t condone any deaths but (profanity) around and find out does apply when you know you have basically the state guard out in force.

And weren’t IcE there to get a convicted rapist or something.. not exactly something to passionately defend.. the whole things messed up.

        • Does this logic not apply to Australian dont get shot by USA immigration officers too?

      • Because I’ve visited the USA in the past including being there when 911 happened. However, the shit show now is even worse. Obviously you’ve never visited the States or lived in Melbourne.

        • "The shit show now" being the doomscrolling you've consoomed from The Guardian and ABC?

          • @pharcyde: No, you can see this information coming out of multiple sources in the USA. If you stopped watching Fox News you would see it.

            • @try2bhelpful: Watch CNN to only see peaceful protests and ICE agents using excessice force.

        • didnt the USA report its lowest crime and homicide rate since the year 1900? Is this not a more important stat for tourists considering they are not likely going there to agitate and obstruct federal law enforcement agents?

          • @Romiyo: Frankly I wouldn’t trust the figures coming out of the USA any more than I would those coming out of China. Trump’s mob has corrupted many levels of government and just lies on a regular basis. Being on the street is enough for the federal law enforcement agents to attack people and then the lie about what the person was doing.

            • @try2bhelpful: Trump is making up the homicide stats? They must be hiding bodies somewhere so they're not counted. I wonder what they're doing with inflation stats?

              • @heal: You think he isn’t changing the stats to meet his agenda? Honestly? It isn’t like they put all the homicide victims in one big area. Have a look at what the reputable financial journalists are saying about American inflation. Especially as Trump wants to put on Tariffs and drop interest rates. That isn’t good news for pricing.

                • @try2bhelpful: Did Biden Administration change its stats then when they reported a lowering of crime rate also?

            • @try2bhelpful: coming out of not very kind to Trump mainstream news media (CNN CBS)… There was always a trend of lowering crime rates yearly (pre Trump), its just the latest year reported the lowest drop ever. Actually after seeing your deranged replies on this page it seems like its more leftist political takes from you. I'm really suppose to believe Trump manipulated homicide stats, can't hide the rest of the bad news against him, and your personal feelings of the USA is a shitshow now more than ever because you travel there and feel it? Ok mate.

  • The cross country train in Canada is really good. We did Vancouver to Toronto on a sleeper. The food was exceptional.

    • Dude the van to tor isn’t country but state or city

  • Pay me a million and I still won't set a foot in the USA

Any other country than USA please?

    • North Korea

      • At this rate, it's probably safer going to North Korea than to the USA

        • Wonder what poor Kim is up to these days. Even his random missile tests wouldn’t make the news these days.

    • Pay me a million and I still won't set a foot in the USA

I'm pretty sure you'd do that for even less than a million.

      • He won't for a million Dong.

      • A million dime and he/she will do it

      • It's easy to forget that the US still has some wonderful people and wonderful places.

If you've got a burner phone, can pass for white, and someone's paying you to do it, you should totally consider carefully if you want to go there.

    • Yeah i wouldn't try to bypass immigration checks either

  • When's the best time for or best place to see RTW Business class tickets? (+1 to not in the US)

  • Probably only cheap to get rid of those US legs, like a box of apples with a couple rotten

    • They're fifth freedom flights which are typically quite cheap.

  • Can you make it from California to New york without ice?

    • You will face lots of snow in between

      • I love to see snow n whites all as I never saw lolzzzZzz

    • I love to see ice

  • Something like this in January 2027 would be tempting

    • What about Jan 2029?

      • Jan 20th, just to be clear. Perhaps the week after just to let a few executive orders to come through.

  • I just came back from a Christmas trip with this fare BNE-LHR, FRA-JFK, LAX-BNE from Singapore Airlines. It was really good. Very attractive at these prices. Fair warning though the 17+8 hours flight LAX-SIN-BNE (or vice versa) was pretty taxing.

    • Great.. I suppose we can choose to or not to pick up the baggage while checking in at each destination? (depending on if we have short layovers?)

      • Yeah your baggage is just transferred to your final destination, you don't get your checked baggage at singapore is your just transitting.

    • Curious what your taxes were? IIRC leaving FRA for example (vs arriving) added more taxes. Did the loss of daylight hours in winter (or temps?) limit what you could fit in?

      • I meant taxing on one's sanity. i.e. long flight. The first long flight OK but the next 8 hours seemed to take forever.

  • Good to see I'm not the only one avoiding anything to do with USA.

        • Seems like Trump loving Tesla drivers with Nazi tendencies are a dying breed in Australia. Along with the liberal and National parties.

          • @Jenbrook: The implosion is spectacular. The electorate spanked them for being too far to the right and they’ve shifted even further right. I suspect the report from the election result is under a chair leg to stop it wobbling. Hastie and Angus are no more palatable than Dutton.

The first attack on Ley was when her mother was dying. The Nats blew up the day of mourning for Bondi with their internal squabbling. The Lib boys planned a leadership coup during the memorial for one of their ex colleagues, only to realise they don’t have the numbers. Is Howard looking ill? His funeral could be the next opportunity to be Machiavellian. Absolutely no understanding of dignity or grace.

          • @Jenbrook: Pauline is coming to sort you and all the other communists out champ.

            • @pharcyde: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. She is about as clear thinking and articulate as Trump. Although she might have a stab at being able to differentiate between Iceland and Greenland. Hanson is a side show and always will be. The compulsory preferential voting system means Australia doesn’t stray far in either direction from the centre. Hence why the LNP got spanked for trying to emulate Trump.

              • @try2bhelpful: LNP was nothing like Trump lmao. That is just another failed far left talking point.

Pauline/Nationals will become the next major party. That's if Albozo and Chumpers haven't completely bankrupted us before the next election.

                • @pharcyde: Have a good look at the statements coming from the Libs after Trump was elected. They said they were going to govern like Trump.

“In early 2025, senior Australian Liberal Senator Michaelia Cash stated that a future Peter Dutton-led Coalition government would adopt the "exact same" attitude as the administration of US President Donald Trump”.

Man of Action": Senator Cash praised Trump as a "man of action" who was overwhelmingly re-elected, suggesting the Australian public expects similar decisive action from a Liberal government.

It was only after Trump when completely bonkers with the tariffs that the Libs started to back away.

If you look at the history of Government it is usually Labor repairing the fiscal damage from the LNP. The major reforms like Medicare were from Labor as well. Look at the history, mate. There is a reason we have a “Medibank Private”.

Dream on mate about Pauline. Maybe have a look at the history of PHON candidates. Most end up on the cross benches because it ends in a bloody row. Barnaby is just hoping to outlive her and take over the party.

Governments are formed in the cities and Pauline is detested there. Not a hope in hell she gets anywhere near power. Right now the extreme right are fighting over the same electorates and alienating even further the city electorates. However, continue to delude yourself because it keeps the Libs and Nats in opposition for a good long time.

                  • @try2bhelpful:

They said they were going to govern like Trump.

                    Blatant misinformation.

                    Michaelia Cash

One out of context quote from a lib senator means the entire LNP "were going to govern like Trump" - uhuh. Unfortunately you've believed too many Guardian headlines.

It was only after Trump when completely bonkers with the tariffs that the Libs started to back away.

                    Completely untrue.

If you look at the history of Government it is usually Labor repairing the fiscal damage from the LNP.

Fixing what? ALP have had 4 years to get inflation under control and they still can't do that. They're too busy pilfering from the next generation's Superannuation and spending like drunken sailors. 1 million new gubment jobs in four years with zero productivity, rates set to rise? Good one Albo.

                    • @pharcyde: I give you facts you give me biased waffle. Whatever dude. The reality is that the Libs and Nats are imploding and that going further right will keep them in position for a very long time. Right now our Government is doing pretty good financially given the absolute mess that Trump is creating in America that then ripples around the world. From à historical perspective this level of inflation is not bad at all. If it wasn’t for the ALP we wouldn’t have universal Superannuation. The LNP use expensive consultants rather than Government employees. The government employees are processing things like support for Veterans that the previous mob just left to blow out. The overall bill is probably lower now; the per hour charges of consultants is eye watering.

Frankly it is good one Albo when you consider the absolute rabble that the Libs and Nats are. Little kids squabbling over scraps. No matter what you say dude there isn’t enough lipstick in the whole world to pretty up this pig and believe me Fox News is trying.

        • Why the negs ? I meant to say I am a guardian reader, is that such a crime here ? If so the negs dont make us much better than the USA, its a slippery slope people

          • @Stuj: Your post sounds like you are agreeing with pharcyde, not that you are a guardian reader.

  • ok perfect timing considering i have no money.

  • Some good pricing from Singapore Airlines lately. Recently booked myself a return fare to Europe in peak season for around $1570 ex-Perth.

    • I got my Mother in law LHR-ADE one way booked directly with Singapore Airlines for $900 AUD. Crazy good price.

  • How not to include USA? Happy to pay to skip it. Entirely.

    • Maybe Canada or Brazil?
I am with you too, would like to skip USA.

  • Is there a business class equivalent?

  • Is this tied up with Lufthansa ? I renember a similar deal before but many of the Singapore Air flights were operated by German carrier Lufthansa

  • Just booked this trip and used the dates to book directly with Singapore Airlines, very happy, thank you.
