OZB_LUNARNY_$500OFF

Hi OzBargain,

Thank you greatly for the overwhelming support for our Black Friday and Holiday sales. I can't thank you enough. We have been MIA, clearing the backlog, and we have cleared the build queue for all those orders. I deeply apologise for the extended delays on those orders. All orders were fulfilled, and pricing was honoured; a cancellation option was also provided if preferred. Despite our measures of bringing on additional seasonal Staff and working extended hours, it still wasn’t enough to provide a service level that we pride ourselves on. We will learn from it and always find ways to improve. I understand there are a handful of people who had terrible experiences with the delays, and all cases have been resolved. If you purchased then you got a sensational deal, and likely we won’t see those prices ever again. Today's deal is a limited run; all core components have gone up in price tremendously, rendering nothing OzBargain worthy these days. As time progresses, you will see the new pricing for graphics cards and the pricing we see in today's market will be unobtainable unfortuantely.

Some key differences and one of the first and best value builds that supports Gen5 PCIe and M.2 on the base model for OzBargain. OzBargain favourite best value motherboard ASUS TUF B650EM-E that has fantastic VRMs and supports PCIe5 for both the first M.2 and PCIe slot. The RX 9070 is still excellent value today and performs well up against the RTX 5070, especially the 16GBs of VRAM. Front mesh panel MSI case as well for better cooling, paired with a 240mm AIO. To my understanding never done before and will definitely be future-proofed for most users and ticks all boxes.

🎁 Bonus FREE Nebula Lunar New Year red pockets as well with every order!

βœ… Ideal and sweet spot speed and lower latency RAM for X3D CPUs at 6000MHz CL30 vs others that are typically CL36 which will have lower performance
βœ… OzBargain favourite motherboard the ASUS TUF B650EM-E that has solid VRMs, PCIe5 support for the first M.2 slot and PCIe slot and 3 M.2 slots for maximum future proofing vs B650M or entry level B850M
βœ… 240mm AIO liquid cooler in the base model vs air cooling
βœ… Reliable and likely B tier MSI 80+ Gold PSU that are PCIe 5.0 and ATX 3.0 ready vs others that are not listed or Bronze rated
βœ… Gen5 Crucial M.2 SSD with speeds of (R: 11,000MB/s | W: 9,500MB/s) vs slower Gen4 speeds
βœ… Front mesh panel design from MSI with 4x auto RGB fans for better thermals compared to the typical dual glass cases on the market

  • Is there any deal without RAM and SSD?

    • +12

Yep - it will be called Build Your Own

    • Im hoping for one of these deals as well.

    • +4

Thank you for your suggestion. Not too sure if that will hit the mark for OzBargain. If there is demand we can look into it.

      • Would be very intrested in 9070 xt byo ram version

By the way, I am sobbing at my keyboard, as I am buying parts for a new PC

      • +9

i wouldn't buy any pc or parts right now unless my current pc is broken and literally needs to be replaced.

        im currently rocking the rtx 5050, ryzen 5 7500f am4 and 32gb ddr 4 3200, 1tb m.2, 5tb secondary hdd, 1080p gaming.

everyday task = browsing internet, stremio, vlc player, no complaints.

video editing + video compression = davinci resolve and handbrake take advantage of rtx 5050 hardware acceleration, no complaints.

but for gaming, i have to lower the game quality to medium to high settings in the most demanding 2025/2026 games, enable dlss 4 and multi frame gen and i get 155fps on average, input lag/latency wont be as good as an rtx 5080 doing the real rendering, but with reflex 2, it doesn't feel at all that bad. some visual artifacts here and there from the frame gen, but im used to it. it cost me less than $800 for the whole pc.

won't be upgrading it unless it dies or we get prices like this again: eg - 7800X3D, RTX 5080, 32GB RAM, Kingston 1TB + Borderlands 4: $2788

Im using a GTX970 and only started considering PC gaming again since my xbox game pass is running out.

Still works fine for the casual games I play over Moonlight.

        • +1

AGree, but my PC is on it's last legs - my 2070 isn't healthy. I scored a new 9800x3d for $600 and Gskill 64GB for 6000 Trident Neo, CL30 for $650 (Marketplace - new). Now hunting for a GPU. Leaning towards a 9070xt Red Devil for $1200 from Centre Com

    • JD Micron pulling out Crucial from the consumer market also scuffed things more for the non-AI customers.

  • Great to see you guys back! Any 9800X3D + 5090 deals coming up?

    • +3

No, at this stage, best to DIY if you are in the market for one. The last deal on OzBargain for an RTX 5090 rig was incredible.

    • +3

      Mr.Moneybags over here.

    • I have a rig for sale, if you’re interested send me a DM.

In the market for a new computer as my current PC is 10 yrs old (if only I started looking 6 months ago instead..)

Planning on sharing it with my brother, will this PC be able to support graphics/video processing as he is studying a course on it and would likely need one that can support adobe premiere pro (sorry not too knowledgeable in this area)

    • Yes , easily.

    • Yes, well more than enough.

    • Thank you both! Also for operating system I'll need to select windows home right? Otherwise I'll need to install my own when I get the PC (Linux? )

      • +2

no need to add Windows. Flash the windows installer to a USB.

Just go to Microsoft owned Github and look for mass

        gravel

        afterwards to activate

  • I might pull the trigger if it comes with 9070xt at this price. But with $200 more, maybe not.

    • The price will only be higher for the foreseeable future; next year, it might get better. Please check with other credible sources online whether the prices will go up or down soon.

  • -2

Got screwed around by these guys and had to do a card chargeback.
What shits me the most is they never replied to my calls or emails until after I got the bank involved.

    • +44

Yep, this was the one and only case, chargeback was accepted completely. Your order was taken out of the build queue as you preferred cancellation. A refund was processed, but it somehow didn't go through leaving everything in limbo. I take full responsibility for this case; it was the only case out of the thousands over the period. All other orders were either fulfilled, the price was honoured, or a refund was offered and processed if preferred. I can only apologise for your experience, and it will not be enough.

I am very sorry for what you had to deal with. There are no excuses on our end; it was a big screw-up from a breakdown in internal communication and our system, no doubt.

      • +4

My mates pc wpulda been one of those. He was sad about the wait till i showed him new proce of ddr5 ram and was like lol id have canceled your order if i was them. Hes very happy btw

        • +9

The delays were unexpected and way too long.

I urge anyone here to please call us out publicly if their order was cancelled against their will during the Black Friday and Holiday sales. Despite the prices increasing rapidly for components, we did not cancel any orders that were made.

          • +1

@Nebula PC: :) as i said hes very happy, you also built my 3080 pc :) its been flawless other than psu dieing

  • That's a very good stick of ram! Most deals I see now have ram with slow timings.

  • +1

@Nebula PC i could order 1 if u turn on amex for me ;)

American Express is an accepted payment method via our payment processor Hello Clever - https://gyazo.com/7ce366b15a8bc26f6e21a837ebd15b78. There is a very reasonable payment processing fee for American Express transactions in the low 1%'s. If payment is with Visa or Mastercard, we absorb the whole payment processing fee. I'm sure you understand how slim the margins are in this indsutry especially with OzBargain deals. We are unable to absorb the whole American Express payment transaction fee, but we can offer it with a small, reasonable fee.

Let me know if you have any issues with it!

  • +1

Will all of the case fans be installed correctly, or will these be shipped out all exhaust/negative pressure like some of your previous models?

    • The MSI 130A case has 3x front intake fans and 1x exhaust; it's the default stock setup that will not be changed.

Still waiting on a BYO GPU gaming system since last year…😒

    • ☹️

I guess my Gtx 1070 is still going strong.

Will wait until the RTX 8080 series haha.

    • +1

      here with GTX 970…

hopefully by 2030 we have affordable ram, storage & GPUs

      • +1

        Might be 10k for a RTX10070.

  • Bought mine a couple months ago from Nebula and the experience was ok, however the liquid cooler wasn't working which should have been picked up during testing. Unfortunate that I had to troubleshoot myself, drive back and sort it out or risk having to wait even longer.

    • +2

Sorry about that, and using your time to spend driving back and forth to us for something so silly. Electronics can be unreliable, and the cases we've seen are just so strange. You'd be surprised how many cases we've had where systems were working fine, then all of a sudden, after transit or when it's opened afterwards there's an issue. With the volume we're doing, these rare and unlucky cases will inevitably occur, unfortunately your case was one ☹️. I'm glad we were able to sort it out on the spot for you and not keep you waiting even longer.

If there's anything I can do for you, please let me know.

  • +3

Bought on 30th, arrived 24th dec. 2-3 days extra but really worth the wait. Quality and routing is superb. Would recommend again.

    • 😁πŸ₯°

  • Is the 3 year warranty inclusive of GPU or at mercy of RMA decision?

    • +1

Yes, as long as it's a warrantable fault. If possible, we will usually provide advanced replacements if we have a like-for-like item on hand to save time with the warranty process. We are very reasonable and want the process to be fast and efficient.

      • It's weird seeing the swift responses on here and clarification about the warranty stuff, has been a whole different experience chasing up a problem now communication from the start was difficult and very unclear and getting minimal word replies every 2-3 days at best is pretty rough

        • What's the issue exactly? Happy to help if it's something I can help with.

If anything is unclear, our full warranty police is here; it's not long and full of jargon to only protect the business and screw the end user. https://www.nebulapc.com.au/pages/warrranty. As mentioned earlier, we are seriously well more than reasonable with warranty claims and always act in the best interest of the user. We've had claims from purchases nearly 3 years ago with no issues; remedies were always provided, albeit with a longer turnaround time for components that are end of life, as we are awaiting repair or replacement from the vendor.

          • @Nebula PC: I'm pretty sure it's all going ahead but the last message I received is basically it's a 50/50 chance of being fixed by the GPU supplier which I'm not even sure what happened to the GPU still, and a 6-8 week to hear from them, I've had to ring 2-3 times to get replies or clarification on the replies, I understand it was Christmas period but we intentionally pushed it through to early Jan to help with this.

My last email was asking if we could send the PC back to me while the GPU was at ASRock so I could atleast have something.

Even the initial process I couldn't get a clear answer after asking 4 times to leave the GPU installed or seperate like it arrived, and had to unpack it all an hour before courier arrived to reinstall GPU

            • +1

@AustralianJesus: Is this the case with the GPU that has signs of water damage, and it blew up and had sparks? We have no 7800XT's on hand to provide an advanced replacement, and for this particular case, we can't. AsRock aren't in the Australian market at all anymore, essentially. This time frame is very generous, being 6-8 weeks. We will try our best to push the vendor to make it faster.

I'm happy to share the photos on here publicly if you approve and get OzBargain's opinion. The dust that has settled on the GPU after time doesn't look normal, and it's a wet like chunky/gunky/oily texture rather than clumps of dry dust. I would say if the vendor states it's liquid damage and it's not a warrantable fault there's not much we can do, we will try our best to push and ask for a repair or replacement.

We would prefer not to send the PC back, so if we do receive the GPU back, we can run all our testing before sending it back to you to be confident there aren't any further issues and reduce further downtime as we need to arrange freight two ways again.

Edit: After looking at the GPU again it does look like it could be thermal pad grease from heat. Should be more than likely to be able to get a replacement/repair. Will keep you posted.

              • +1

@Nebula PC: No honestly this is more information and clarification than I've received in 4 weeks of email chains, especially the potential water damage to GPU, I'm not after opinions if there was any chance of damage I've caused I would've never sent it for warranty, I took photos of everything pre packing and didn't notice anything bad, my only concern now is it's made out to be a slim chance of being fixed and essentially don't have a computer for up to 3 months

But honestly thank you for this, this was the type of service I got when I bought the computer 2 years ago and I've had several friends purchase from aswell with great service, it's just the communication I've received lately has pretty much left me in the dark and essentially been told I won't have the PC for upto 3/4 months and it's my fault

                • @AustralianJesus: Understood, in that case it shouldn't be an issue for a replacement or repair from the vendor.

It has been a rough time for us lately with the volume, no excuses though. I am aware that it needs to be improved.

Thank you for your support over the years and your referrals. It means a lot to us. You are the reason why we still are here today.

                  • @Nebula PC: Thank you and I'm sorry if this causes any problems being in the public view especially on a sale post I hope it doesn't deter anybody, I'm happy with the response

  • Just to counter the negative reviews, I had a very positive experience with Nebula when I bought my PC with them a few years back. Solid system and good customer service.

    • +1

Thank you for your support! πŸ₯°

  • Any options to BYO GPU?

    • Not at this stage sorry :(.

  • Encouraged a friend of mine to purchase one of your BF deals, he was keen and excited till the massive delays and no answered emails or calls. He ended up cancelling the order and my trust with you guys as a recommendation for friends has completely diminished

You made the exact same mistake last BF, saying almost verbatim that you've learned from it and also won't let it happen again and here we are. Quite disappointed.

    • +1

Yes, we made the same mistake again. We've expanded our operations greatly since the same time last year. We're in a property that is roughly over threefold what we had before and brought on the most ever seasonal Staff and it still wasn't enough to cater for the demand. Peak season, in combination with everyone seeing the rising prices and trying to lock in their deal before it goes up more, smashed us. Sorry, we couldn't serve your friend at the level we pride ourselves on.

The market is large, and competition is strong. I am confident you will be able to find a better deal that is more suitable for your friend's needs.

I hope we can serve you again in future, but better.

  • I can vouch for these guys. I got a solid and excellent priced deal last black Friday, received a Death On Arrival, and received my replacement pretty fast.

I was expecting delays knowing they probably had a massive order queue , but they answered and organised the replacement in no time.

    • +2

Sorry about the system being DOA. It happens, and there's nothing I can say. We try our best to fast-track and provide solutions to these cases immediately.

      • Totally the courier's fault causing the DOA, the box was smashed on the corner when I received it. Your customer service was great to organise the replacement.

        • +1

πŸ˜•, one of the biggest challenges in our industry is serving customers nationwide. All couriers are terrible, and there's nothing we can do about it. We use the ones that are the least bad.

        • When that happened to me with tech Fast, they blamed me, even after showing them that the box the pc shipped in was damaged. They then asked me to update the BIOS but updating it voids the warranty

  • +2

Bought the pulsar from an OzB deal last year, had nothing but good experiences with Lawrence and the machine. Holding out for a deal on a white build 7800x3d now πŸ˜…

    • +1

      😁😁🫑

  • So glad to have you back Nebula! I was beginning to think you were MIA. There was even a reddit post talking about the delays. Impressed you got through the backlog.

    • +1

      😁❀️

Really got overwhelmed during the busy period.

  • Possibly you listed the wrong motherboard in your PCPartPicker comparison? The B650EM-E is not the same as the B650E-E and would bring your comparison price down by $50.

    https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/BvqNnQ/asus-tuf-gaming-b…

    • Yep, that's correct. Thank you for spotting that out, this has been fixed since your comment!

  • Bought on Friday and it got delivered today 🀯.

Was not expecting for another 1-2 weeks as the listing has an ETA build date of 10-15 days

    • Haha yes, we really have cleared our backlog and are ready to roll. Thank you for your support! 😁❀️

  • Besides price, how does this one compared with the nebula thorn blade that's listed on your website? Seems fairly similar?

    • Thornblade would have the RX 9070 XT which is a beefier GPU.

  • How much extra for B850 Wifi 7 and 5070ti other thing remaining same?

    • Likely not OzBargain worthy, I don't think the general OzBargain user is after a WiFi7 motherboard at this stage. Current graphics card pricing is also terrible all around, especially high end. It would be best to upgrade to a WiFi7 supported motherboard from our builder if possible.

  • Hey Nebula, any chance of a non-watercooled CPU option? I had a bad experience with one a few years ago (self-installed, my fault) but I'd love to avoid it here via another kind of heatsink/etc.

But — if there's a reason that the 7800X3D really wants water cooling, just let me know and I'll stop hoping!

    Cheers

    • We can swap it out for an air cooler if you wish, please email us and we'll get it organised for you!

  • Any chance of mATX mobo and case?
