I get mine from a pharmacy made in house. It's good for sleep and relaxation as glycinate is known to do that.
Magnesium is good to have in your system as I feel we don't get enough of it in our diets (but I'm not sure what your diet is).
It's also important for muscle function and recovery and many other functions. Magnesium is also pretty safe and hard to overdose on, unlike vitamin B6, for example. Glycinate is also the most bioavailable form of magnesium.
Thank you
Take this with d3 and k2
Bought Swiss brand 3 days ago ffs
Magnesium typically large tablets btw
Good value.
Disappointed it's without listed ingredients.
I can see it in the picture gallery on Amazon.
Unfortunately, tablet formulations often contain binders and fillers and other ingredients that are not fully disclosed.
They should NOT be legally allowed to do that. How they get away with not disclosing what fillers are added I have no idea.

Overview of Maltodextrin
Maltodextrin is a white, starchy powder derived from starches like corn, rice, potato, or wheat. It is commonly used in processed foods to enhance texture, flavor, and shelf life. While it is recognized as safe by the FDA, there are potential health concerns associated with its consumption.
Health Risks Associated with Maltodextrin
Blood Sugar Spikes
Maltodextrin has a high glycemic index (GI) of 110, which means it can cause rapid spikes in blood sugar levels.
This is particularly concerning for individuals with diabetes or insulin resistance, as it can lead to increased blood sugar fluctuations.
Gut Health
Research suggests that maltodextrin may disrupt gut bacteria, potentially leading to digestive issues and inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) like Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
High intake can result in symptoms such as bloating and discomfort.
Weight Gain and Metabolic Issues
Regular consumption of maltodextrin can contribute to weight gain and increase the risk of metabolic diseases due to its rapid absorption and lack of nutritional value.
It may promote insulin resistance, which is linked to various health problems, including obesity and type 2 diabetes.
Allergic Reactions
Although rare, some individuals may experience allergic reactions, particularly if maltodextrin is derived from wheat.
Conclusion
While maltodextrin is widely used in many foods and considered safe in moderation, its potential to cause blood sugar spikes, disrupt gut health, and contribute to metabolic issues warrants caution, especially for those with specific health conditions. It is advisable to read food labels and limit intake of products containing maltodextrin.
Ive been using these for a few years, bit more pricey but aussie + 100% transparency. They work great.

You've sold me, thanks.
Those contain 90mg of magnesium vs 150mg magnesium in the NO product.
You could just buy the powder form.
Protip: toss and chug with a cup of water, DO NOT let it linger long enough to taste. :)
Maybe I should reconsider the powder form, generally considered better. Thanks for your pro tip suggestion.
What brand(s) of powder can be trusted, and don't have all that crap in them (listed above)?
And where do you buy them from? I found some on Amazon but I'd never heard of any of the brands, so I find it hard to trust them. Though even known brands these days aren't always trustworthy either.
Nootropics depot.
@yannduran: Not that I've found. I usually wait and order a couple of things at the same time, their postage fees aren't too bad. I also use their VitD+k2 and Vit C regularly.
This is a pretty good deal. 50% more magnesium per tablet than the recent Amazon deal.
Stack with TopCashBack which has 2% upsized cashback for Chemist Warehouse atm.
Was 5% two weeks ago
Not that you can do anything about it and not knocking you. Just mentioning it because I wanna share that it's been higher recently.
Shopback is 2.7% (0.7% Base + 2% Bank Bonus)
I’ve been having 3 tabs a day and my sleep is deeper than ever dreams vivid muscles less sore
Was skeptical but I’m sold
You're getting 150mg of elemental magnesium from each of these tablets, the recommended daily amount is 300mg for women and 400mg for men including whatever you get from your diet.
Why would you need 10 tablets?
Because 'recommended' amounts are usually just the bare minimum to keep you alive? :)
I pity both the stomach and the toilet of the fool that tries to take 1500mg of elemental magnesium! Fast way to lose weight I suppose
Thats a great price, will give these a try
This is what I take every night. Help me relax and my sleep.
is this one better than the magzorb one ? https://www.coles.com.au/product/vitaceuticals-magzorb-magne…
Significantly better, magzorb is a scam, not pure magnesium glycinate.
Really? I just bought Magzorb last week :/
They say each cap contains:
500mg Magnesium Glycinate
100mg Total Magnesium
+1 on this. @Jolakot where is the source of this?
@cholas: @bataleon I actually emailed them and asked because the numbers don't add up, you physically can't get 20% elemental magnesium from Magnesium Glycinate:
When it comes to pure magnesium glycinate (with the molecular formula C₄H₈MgN₂O₄) you are correct that by mass the elemental amount of magnesium is approximately 14.1%.
However, the magnesium used in MagZorb Magnesium Glycinate is not pure stoichiometric bisglycinate.
Our product uses a manufacturer-specified Magnesium Glycinate 20% raw material, which is a glycinate-based, buffered magnesium system formulated to provide a higher analytically verified elemental magnesium content. The elemental magnesium level is confirmed by validated analytical testing (ICP-MS) rather than inferred from theoretical molecular weight calculations.
They call it Magnesium Glycinate, but they add cheaper forms of magnesium to it as a way to cheap out on the raw ingredients. Hence it's a scam.
Nature's Own does not cheap out though, their Magnesium Glycinate is pure based on the elemental magnesium ratio.
I wrote a longer comment here explaining the math: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/17296090/redir

Doesn't this Natures Way one run rings around it?

VS
Each tablet contains:
Magnesium (from Magnesium Glycinate) 150mg

Allergen Contains: Sulphites
Different type of magnesium, the one you linked is significantly less bioavailable and more likely to cause stomach problems. It's like comparing 98 octane fuel with E10 fuel.
I use the Swisse Magnesium + Sleep Powder does anyone know if it’s any better or worse?
https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/91960/swisse-magnesi…
The type of magnesium in Nature's Own is slightly better, 100% magnesium glycinate instead of 2/3 magnesium glycinate and 1/3 magnesium citrate from your product (citrate is used in laxatives, if you notice stomach effects it's likely from this)
Pricey at $1/day, but you do get a bunch of other herbs and vitamins so depends on how much those matter to you.
Would need to take 2x of these tablets for same elemental magnesium, so about $0.2/day compared to $1/day for your powder for equivalent magnesium.
Thanks @Jolakot! I've more recently been using Coles Ultralife Magnesium Chelate (https://www.coles.com.au/product/ultralife-magnesium-chelate…)… and things have been a little "loose" in the bathroom.
Good to have an explanation for it, and will switch to the Magnesium Glycinate.
I had insomnia and anxiety for the better part of 7 years - had a very active lifestyle but couldn't shut down after work.
Someone put me onto magnesium as a remedy and i kid you not this was better than any anti-anxiety medication that i ever took.
Cheaper and more effective. I'm on the Chemist warehouse home brand (macrogenics) one and it's help get me and keep me asleep.
Pro tip, up your dosage until it starts to have a mild laxative effect - thats when you know you're at the correct level.
You'll have less laxative effects with unbuffered Magnesium Glycinate, the one you mentioned would be buffered with Magnesium Oxide which is used as a laxative (obvious by it being 20% elemental magnesium)
The Nature's Own one here is both 50% cheaper per day for same amount of magnesium, and will have less stomach issues.
Yeah i'm inclined to get this for my next supply.
i have anxiety for past decade, is it magnesium or magnesium glycinate you recommend ? and whats the best brand?
someone said magzorb one is a scam!
Sounds like glycinate, go for this one. Honestly, take double the recommended amount until the anxiety starts to subside.
Magnesium glycinate is what I've seen recommended.
You can't buy pure magnesium as it's unstable, so it has to be attached to something.
Best type for minimal stomach upset is Magnesium Glycinate, which is just Magnesium attached to the amino acid Glycine, both of which help with sleep and nerves.
Best brand is Nature's Own, cost effective and it's pure Magnesium Glycinate, not like Magzorb which isn't pure.
Ah that explains it. Noice to see it working
I went down this rabbit hole a few months ago after listening to all the usuals (Huberman, Patrick etc).
I trained Gemini up on all of their recommendations and then got it to research supplements avail in Aus. It settled on
