  • These were $320. New colour adds $20.

Good price for those who can use unidays.

  • +1

Damn. Wish it was 40% off megablasts

    • I doubt it will happen. 35% is their practitioner discount.

      • Hasn't the practitioner discount been reduced to 20%?

        • Hi Herpinderp

Please find your two PBP 35% discount codes below:

Partner is a Nurse and hers is 20%

          • @HerpinDerp: Didn't know it was different discounts based on different professions. Disappointing but thanks!

      • What is the practitioner discount?

  • Damn! great price but no unidays for me

  • Dang thats pretty good.

Got a sb2 in their ekiden colourway for 180. (With giftcard and price match).

I'd probably buy another if i could

    • +1

      Which GC did you use?

      • Someone posted a sb2 as a deal…2 weeks ago?

Price matched with rebel for 199

Got the special gift card (10%) on top.

        • Also additional $20 credit for over $100 spend on footwear if you are a Rebel member

    • Who is doing discounted gift cards for Asics?

  • +1

Cant say I've tried many but these have been my favourite running shoe out of a handful of Asics/Adidas/etc. $200 is great for them.

Apparently Superblast 3 is coming out in March though so not sure whether to wait until then or not

  • ASICS Superblast 2 or Saucony Endorphin pro 4 for $200?

Currently using Nike Vomero 18. Try to run 5Ks 3-4 days per week.

    • +4

Superblast 2 is more versatile. Can do longer runs and even speedier sessions.

    • Pro 4s are amazing

    • +1

If you need to ask, then Superblast 2. Covers all bases at least well.

Endorphin Pro 4 is specifically for racing, workouts (intervals/tempo) and long runs (with uptempo parts within). They're better than Superblast 2s for those runs specifically, but are not ideal for other daily training like Superblast 2 are.

Lol in what world did we agree that close to $500 rrp on a shoe was anything other than stupid?

    • +2

Because the market sets this price and people buy it.

      • Because they dont last long as they used to do.

    • Don't give them ideas.

    • +1

IMO Marketing and social media hype has pushed the prices of shoes into stratospheric prices and in this era, inflated prices seem quite acceptible. Can probably thank Apple and Dyson for this. Then discount to $200 and everyone thinks it's a bargain. Probably even cheaper than ever to make now too. I'll probably get negged for this.

      • Can get a new tyre for my car for $200 or a pair of shoes.
At the least the tyre has some material to it and lasts more than 500km.
The world has collectively just made everything shit. Every time there's inflation, the cost of goods goes up 15% and never dips, that's the new normal. And it's just compounded the last twenty year and we're still copping it.
We became normalised to shoes undergoing a new 'model' each year and tweaking nine dicks of dick-all difference other than some intangible metrics that the consumers gobble up and buy again next year. Theyr'e shoes. The R&D has been completed and finished. There's nothing to squeeze out of a running shoe anymore.

  • Training for a marathon here and was considering novablast 5s for $200. I've tried them on but now I guess these would be a step up. Anyone know if sizing would be around the same?

    • +2

The superblast 2 are the shoes i use for marathons etc, a great shoe! and they fit the same as the novablast

    • +1

Definitely fit about the same as Novablast 5.

  • +1

And the shoe rotation increases to 7…..lol

  • Great Running shoes, wouldn't recommend for walking. The New Balance More's are hands down the best for this.

    • Why wouldn't you recommend it for walking?

      • The Superblasts are a springy, harsher bouncier foam designed for maximum energy return - not great for walking.

The New Balances have softer cushioning foam designed for increased comfort over long distances.

I have both and prefer my new balances.

  • Can confirm, solid shoes. Great price

  • Rip no size 15..

  • Do you also require a unidays account to redeem it with the code?

  • When I was a student, if I had 200 bucks in my pocket, it certainly wasn’t going towards a $200 pair of sneakers…..

  • Goddamn I just bought them on sale for $270 and I have access to unidays.

    • +2

Buy again and return the more expensive pair…

      • I already ran in them :( Now I'm debating whether to get a second pair….

        • just buy this and return it back to first store. Make sure color size everything is correct. As long you meet return policy

  • Damn. I just started barefoot running, I’m saving $200 like a true ozbargainer😂

  • nice!!!

  • Thanks OP, scrounged for a code and copped. 👌

  • Thanks for posting this deal! These are great shoes and have been on my bucket list for a long time. If you missed out on the code but still want a pair, there's a slightly pricier alternative on Amazon (us stock). Some sizes have a 10% discount, bringing the price down to around $217.

  • If anyone is interested the green ekiden are 2 grams heavier apparently because of the sparkles they added. I chose the sparkle free option.

    • you gotta b ekiden me

  • Can use with 12% Topcashback for another $24 off

    • excluded but we can always try and hope

  • If you’re still looking these are on sale now without a code 👍
