Love nitecore, I have a few of their products. Still expensive considering it can be had cheaper. So no deal in my eyes.
Overkill
Had a few nitecore lights that are still going strong after 5+ years. In saying that, I've also had alot of lights from different mfgs still going strong after years of use. Not much could go wrong in a torch really, even the ones that get hot still somehow have the led survive

8000lm
I would edc this thing if it was $97, but $197 is too expensive for me.
Because I’m looking for animals in drains or holes during the daytime you need a lot lumens/intensity, especially on really sunny days when the eyes are less sensitive to torch light.
Unfortunately 8000lm lasts for 10 seconds only.

Thats a solid price, my dream nitecore was the edc 29 which outputs 6500 lumen, but settled on the edc 35 5000lumen for about 170 bucks as my daily driver i keep in my car (striking bezel for windows and has the best throw distance out of these three).
Agreed with some commenters, 5000lumens is overkill for my use, 8000lm is just stupidly overkill from looking at the test shots from some youtubers.
Fun torch for enthusiasts and someone with cash to burn, nitecore has some more practical and conservative torches for edc use.
Who needs this, when you can get 99,000,000lm torch for $18.30 lmfao!!! Gotta love those marketing gimmicks for such a small light.
