Centrecom are giving 10% off storewide.

Problem is, with prices jacked up by up to 200% are there any genuine good deals?

When available, free shipping excludes WA, NT & remote areas.

Nice - have been waiting for a deal on RTX 5060 Ti 16GB (they're never included in ebay sales it seems). No jacking from what I can tell.

    • No jacking from what I can tell.

      I didn't realise it was November already…

Can get the Asus PRIME OC Radeon RX 9070 XT 16 GB Video Card for about $900. So this looks like a real sale to me.

Edit. - Spoke to soon. They say the 10% is already in the price :(

Anyone else notice that close to all items dont have 10% off?

    example.
    https://www.centrecom.com.au/razer-blackshark-v3-pro-wireles…
    Don't Pay $449
    $408

    $449 - 10% = $404.10

If I had to guess, they're taking the 10% off the ex GST price, and then adding GST.

Prices jacked up by 200%? They usually have pretty good pricing…

RAM and GPUs just generally feel like 200% of what they 'should' be, but that's not a Centrecom thing..

  • +6

Not sure price jacking is a Centrecom thing, they've always been pretty good for me and it's just an industry trend.

I'd much rather support them than Amazon, we need healthy competition.

  • +2

Centrecom sounds like the name of a place that employs Level 5 Microsoft technicians.

  • GPU which I was looking at has been removed .. typical

    No jacking

I bought something from there yesterday out of desperate need, and it's price today is 10%-ish cheaper.

  • I’ve been eyeing the Ubiquiti U6‑Mesh router, but even with the 10% discount it’s still $46 more than Amazon.

    • +1

      Ubiquiti U6 Mesh is a Wi-Fi 6 access point. It's not a router.

  • Actual '10%' off on the Gigabyte MO27Q28G 27" 4th gen WOLED

Lol they did jack prices up in the past few days.. example: the G502 which is ALWAYS $59, is now $69 hahaha

    • UPDATE: they dropped price of G502! "WAS: $69, NOW: $59" haha

  • The price of the power supply and case I buy for my builds is exactly the same price as last week…

  • These guys are so bloody dodgy. They sent me an email for a $10 off voucher and when using it, it says it has been exhausted. Not everything is on sale.

Will be reporting them to the ACCC

Clearly not 10% off, sitewide is blatantly false advertising.

    https://www.centrecom.com.au/centre-com-xs-ryzen-7-7800x3d-r…

  • Looks like some things already on sale yesterday aren't an extra 10% off, but I guess they technically are 10% (or more) off.

  • Limit 1 Per Customer

Is it 1 order per customer or only the 1st eligible product per customer?

Had an item in my cart and raised a ticket about the coupon code working. As soon as they enabled the coupon code, they jacked the price up.

  • Still waiting on another 15% Off Storewide VIP Night. I was able to snag a 4080 Super for 1450$, the staff initially refused but eventually honored it. It helped a bit when knowing some of the staff there

Just proposed to the boss and almost got fired because of it. Losing too much money :)

    • They honoured my 4090 for 2290z

  • Airpods Pro 3 $360, with Officeworks price beat $342. Thank you

These guys are a joke, all over their website, sale ends 9am and now it has been extended to 6pm.

Seriously, breaking every advertising law possible LOL

    • +4

OMG, I just refreshed again and now it ends 11PM on Thursday.

      Common Examples of False Urgency:
Misleading Countdowns: Timers that reset to zero, suggesting a deal is ending when it actually continues.

Artificial Deadlines: Pressure tactics stating a sale ends soon to drive immediate action.

    • Bloody annoying…
I ended up ordering a click and collect for a product, going through with the surcharge because I was too late to go in-store and buy it on the day the sale came…

…only to find out this deal is continuing through till Thursday. SMH.

  • I saw the deal went live was hoping to grab the 9850x3d in store. Got there and guess what, they taken it off their site. I dont think they sold out of it. Lets see once the sale ends if it pop back up. A little disappointed tbh. Maybe just salty didnt get the deal lol

    • I was right they must of realised they screwed up on including the new 9850xd in the discount down to $726 and took it off. In store they told me there was none. Here we are after the sale, it reappears on their site with full stock.

  • Hoping I get a decent resolution tomorrow. Ordered a Lenovo Legion laptop with a 275HX processor. Email from customer support today that it's no longer available. Offered a Ryzen AI 350 model, which I've declined. Ultra 9 275HX (the original laptop) has a CPU PassMark score of "56,090"and a Cinebench 2024 score of "2007". Ryzen AI 7 350 (the replacement) has a CPU PassMark of "24,935" and a Cinebench 2024 score of "903". Spent a fair bit of time researching before buying (considering I'm updating from an i5-8250). Disappointing, but hopefully there's a solution and I'm not back to square one.

  • I'm unimpressed by the customer support. Sent a reply over two days ago. Messaged beetran on here, no response.
Still not sure how an "open box" product has been discontinued. Surely you physically have it for it to be categorised as "open box". Not a great experience.
Does anyone know which store to call for online orders?
