  • How are these with the wind from running and cycling my earbuds always sound so windy. Cheers

    • Awesome. I have a set of these and the later OpenRun Pro 2 which I upgraded to.
I much prefer the OpenRun Pro 2, but the price is much different. These are good and you can hear the music/podcast you want without really affecting your hearing of the ambient environment and you don't get that loud air 'whoosh' you would with earbuds on hear-through.

If you're not sure about bone-conduction headphones, give these a crack. You can't turn them to max volume though because the vibration is really irritating, but nor do you really need to (at least in my experience).

I never use my earbuds when I'm out running or cycling anymore, they're exclusively for use on the trainer/treadmill or mowing the lawn, where some sound suppression is useful.

      • I went through 4 shokz headphones, three openruns pro/nonpro and one cheaper model, don't remember the name (air? or openmove?). While they were all good in terms of listening, build quality is not that good. Cheaper ones broke when I fell asleep with them, as did not have metallic band all the way, so plastic part just snapped. One openrun died due to sweat - looks like waterproof seal deteriorated over time, and two others have their volume/on/off buttons fail. On average, it lasted around 10-14 months. Not that bad, but considering thet price of pros it's a pity.

Currently switched to similar model from Suunto, they have better build quality.

        • Thanks for the replies. Might be worth a punt

  • i heard these are good for swimming you just store all the songs on the device. For those that didn't know bluetooth doesn;t work under water!!

    • that would be openswim, not openmove. Openmove are not waterproof.

      • I'm waiting for a deal on the OpenSwim myself

  • they have open swim pro at 249. Just brought from jb commercial yesterday for 220 if you have access

  • My first openshokz lasted me more than 5 years with constant use (running). My second one is now 2+ years. Really well made.

  • Just got them for $81.09 on Good Guys Comemrcial. Winning.
