Food, massage, forgetting about everything in Australia

My favourite thing to do is fly in, jump in a car I’ve prearranged and taking me to a random place i pointed to on a map where there are little to no tourists and immersing myself into the couture.

      • +4

Mine is similar but the last day I gotta get a whole body tattoo

      • +18

        immersing myself into the couture.

        You're into Balinese fashion?

        • +1

Cheese cloth, bracelets, braised hair and tattoos, if the flights from Bali to Australia are any indication….

    • +5

sitting in traffic looking at all the rubbish.

    • Depends what you want from a holiday. Something for everyone in Bali but the area to choose depends on whether you want a quiet time, nightlife, beaches, big resorts, culture, shopping etc.

      Gastro

But srsly, haggle tf out of them, they're soo overpriced and if you're strong enough, you can get them right down or walk away.

    • Full leg or arm tats bro. Get on it!

      • While body suit

    • Waterbom park.

    Is Bali belly very common?

    • +3

Only if you drink the tap water or have ice made from tap water…

      • +2

well it's always hot there so you are going to have some ice cubes in your drinks sooner rather than later. its all luck

    • +3

Not if you avoid drinking tap water. Been many times and never had an issue.

    • Not common, like everything the ones that get it are very vocal about it. Think of the 100s of thousands that go there and get nothing.

  • Hm they never accomodate more than 2 kids 🤣

    • I am just a kid a heart

Kids Fly Free to Bali When You Book

    Thanks…

I forwarded the link to mum…

  • Has anyone used this guys before? Are they reliable.

We are looking at Bali getaway with our toddler and got excited looking at kids fly free.
Seems like other place like mybali and luxury escape charge kids airfare but accommodation is free depending on age.

    • Yes they are very reliable. We booked with them and stayed at Padma Legian last year

      • I have a 6 year old, do you rate PADMA?

It is top of our list looking at these options

        • +1

it's very good - we have two boys under 6, the kids club and staff are all fantastic! we also hired a nanny (external from Padma) and that enabled us to go out and explore, and also have some downtime to ourselves. The price of Padma has gone up alot in the last 2 years tho, so there may be better options now value wise. There's a Padma Legian Facebook group if you need further info.

          • @punkel: Yeah cool, I was looking June where Padma is booked out.

So Hard Rock seems like an option, any experience here?

            • @mecusherb: Sorry no, only have stayed at the Padma with kids. From all the feedback i'm reading, Padma makes everything else look like crap
To be honest, Bali is good, but look for other destinations now with better value. Our next trip will be to Vietnam. Bali is pretty expensive now.

              • @punkel: Ah yeah from the same site. MIght be worth a look. I've never been to Bali but have done Viet.

Padma has August dates so I might opt for that

Obligatory shopping list when in Bali:

✅ 20 counterfeit singlets: "Billabing", "Rip Carl", “Calvin Klien”, “Adibas”, all misspelled for authenticity
✅ A tattoo of a Balinese symbol that looks like a QR code if you squint your eyes
✅ Fake Oakleys that make you look like a 2012 NRL winger
    ✅ Get your hair braided
✅ A wooden penis bottle opener (you don’t want it, but you WILL buy it)
✅ Cheap cocktails served in a bucket
✅ T‑shirt that says “NO MONEY, NO HONEY”
✅ Street corn that will change your life and your digestive system
✅A $12 “Beats” speaker that sounds like a dying lawnmower
✅ A colourful sarong for the airport because you forgot pants

  • I am confused. I selected a kids fly free resort, but the airfares are cheaper if we fly Jetstar??

  • Forget Bali. Just go to Penrith, same temperature, just find a pool, cheaper

  • +1

The secret is out. These guys are great. They are a legacy travel company who have special arrangements with heaps of hotels and airlines.

  • Anyone done this before? Is this deal every year and these places good for young kids 4 and under

  • All dates in term time, so requires said children to be pulled out of school

  • +1

Thanks. Sounds like a great deal. Presume VISA and tourist tax is extra and I didn’t see it noted anywhere.

  • +1

Compared it with Expedia and Expedia actually works out cheaper for the exact same flights and resort on the same dates — even without a “Kids Fly Free” deal.

    • Interesting. What about extras food rides etc?

  • The dates are not within NSW school holidays…
