I want to share aome of the cheapest PLA (Meta) filament I've gotten in awhile!

$11.61 per roll delivered!
Not including the 13% cashback with TopCashback (tracked for another $5.96, bringing it down to $10.12 per roll)

LOCAL stock so it's delivered very quickly, last time I ordered same ones it arrived in a few days (YMMV).

You can choose different colour combinations for the same price if not about $0.3 more for some of them atm.

Can't really mix and match, they're set bundles to choose from.
Colours include black, white, mint green, lemon yellow, sky blue, cherry red, sakura pink, grey and other combinations.

Says max 1 per customer (per selection, but looks like you can just reorder it in another transaction if you want)

If you've already used this single use coupon from Ali, you can use AUCD02 to still save a few dollars on what's still a great deal!

Original Coupon Deal

Edit: Looks like prices fluctuated up a but after OZB meet up on that item, still works out to be about $12.7 per roll not incl cashback.

seems like a crazy deal for local stock

edit - ah i see its limited colour choices

    • +1

It genuinely is yeah! Too good to keep not to share after ordering my own hahaha

  • No matter what I try I can't get it down to the $32.20 USD price. Are you sure you didn't have some credits or additional discounts in your account?

    • Wow, right after posting the prices went up a bit. I just checked my purchase and it was only the one coupon that was applied.

Still, at current prices looks to be about $12.7 per roll delivered, and then add in your cashback and becomes even cheaper!

  • Interesting it allows me to add to cart, but as soon as I put in the Coupon Code, I get

    >This item can't be shipped to the selected region.

    Had to update shipping address.

    • I had to update my address, the house number needed to be in a separate box to the street name - maybe check that or similar?

      • Yep, that was the case. Phone number was missing Country Code.

Ended up at AU$50.91 for me (qld) for the mixed pack (LY BK WT GY, Australia) not including cashback. Great deal still !

  • Are the colours more matte pastel?

    • Compared to typical matte filaments, it is a bit more pastel yeah

  • Several (but not all) of the multi-colour options says can't be delivered to my address. That's odd. And all the single colour options have no problem with my address. Thumbs up for the OP for the great find though.

    • +3

That usually means that they are out of stock in their local (AU) warehouse.

Not bad. I only just bought my Bambu Lab PS2 yesterday (about to open the box today) but I had already pre-ordered my filament from the Bambu Lab website at the much higher price of AU$19 for a 1kg PLA roll on a spool. I think it was AU$17 without the spool. This was after 45% off for ordering 10+ rolls though.
I was a bit wary of getting some non Bambu Lab products for my first print attempts anyway but good to know that they can go to this low a price!

    • +2

Yeah, Bambu filament is good, but waaay overpriced. There's far cheaper decent filament out there from Sunlu, Jayo, Elegoo, Sidament and others.

    • +5

The only advantage of the Bambu Lab filament is that it has RFID tags that automatically set the type/colour in the Bambu software if you use an AMS. You'll quickly pivot to cheaper filament and manually setting the colour/type only takes a few seconds.

  • Most of the multi colour bundles sold out

  • Cool. I'll give it a go

party is over? I am getting 39.26 after code now.

  • Mostly OOS gah. Reckon it'll come back?

  • Honestly had nothing but issues with Sunlu fillament snaping mid print even after drying has taken out a printer that I'm currently repairing

  • Wow a Sunlu deal that isn't of the eBay sale type lol. Good price.

I'm waiting for the Sidd existing customer deal

  • +2

    OOS i think

    • Yep same for me

  • +1

Not many decent colors left. Shame.

  • +1

Had to settle for the grey. Hopefully some of the colour packs come back in stock

  • +1

Got the cherry red ~ $12.5/roll after discount.

Shame the code was one time use.

  • PLA is still good for prototyping, but I stopped printing anything other than PCTG these days.
    $24 a roll at Siddament.

The benefits are endless and the cons are….. near zero. slight stringing at worst.

    • Thats how i feel using PETG, prints the same with more benefits then PLA, I will have to check out PCTG

    • +1

Cons are it only comes in black, white and transparent. Great for functional, but not if you want something in a colour…

      • In that case I'd fall back to PETG, but I own paint and am not opposed to finishing steps, so I rarely do.

Admittedly if I want semi transparent I have a few rolls of PETG in colours.

    • PLA for toys and display items, PETG / PCTG for functional parts makes sense

    • +1

I found PETG to print much slower and infill and the top layer above infill is prone to fail by blobbing, any tips? Tuned temp, flow ratio, pressure advance already.

      • All i do is use the bambu petg profile in bambu studio regardless off filament, and i slow the bottom and top layers down. I also dry my filament as petg soaks up alot of moisture. Ive had no need to tune it, prints perfect. Sorry i couldnt be more help

        • Thanks for sharing your experience, I will give this a go.

      • As opposed to mitcheo's advice, I found printing faster to help with top layer blobbing (which is PETG ooze constantly coming out of the nozzle). Slightly lower temps could help too (slower oozing).

  • Ali Express do local? Wtf? If it's in Sydney or Melbourne and sending to me in Perth though… probably take 5x as long as it would if it was coming from China…

    • +2

just so you're aware, most of the population is on the east coast.

      • Just having a whinge how long it takes for stuff to come from the East coast to Perth :)

Where as I've had something come from Italy to Perth in 3 days.

        • True.

Sometimes it works in our favour.

  • Aliexpress site so weird. We have 1 left. But you can not buy. Only search for similar.

    • Yeah so bizarre. All the good colours and mixed out of stock unfortunately. Hope they replenish.

      • why? it's a normal-ish price for regular PLA. imo just subscribe to a tag on ozb, and youll get a notification

  • How's this stuff compared to ESun pla+?
Just picked up a bambu A1+ams and using, it came with Esun pla+ and so far it's been faultless but I have nothing to compare it too.

    • Depends on your use case tbh. But so far in my usage, PLA Meta, PLA+, PLA Matte have all been great in terms of types. I've gotten SUNLU, Siddament, ESun, found them to be fairly good.
