Is it a little less than per usual ?
- 7

Hmmm was hoping $150 or more… should we skip and wait for better offer hopefully in next few weeks?
- 7

Last time i used econnex it was gas $100. Having said that. I'm still waiting for gas to change !
- 0

When i did an electricity and gas swap to two different providers i got a 200+100 voucher even though the gas wasnt even switched yet.
- 0

Still chasing them from my deal in October to give me my gift card.
Edit: Called and spoke to them.
- Have to be connected for 45 days - tick, now over 100 days, haven't changed providers
- Have to wait 3-4 months from submission day to the energy provider - today is 3.5 months, so will give it another 2 weeks, then chase them again.
Not a smooth process.
- 12

Mine normally come through within a week or two of hitting the required connection time and have never had to chase
- 2

@Lord Ra same, connected 7 Oct and still haven't received the gift card. They used to send it around 90-100 day mark, seems like it's slipping to 120 days now.
- 1

Check your junk/spam box regularly
- 1

Yeah, me too, still waiting for the gift card.
Next time, I'll just wait for a deal from Shopback, certainly much faster to get.- 2

I did it last year.. didn't get these eGift cards as well. Had been connected and fulfilled the conditions too. Have decided I will take the cashback route now.. given the easier and more reliable tracking than chasing for gift cards
- 3

Had two gift cards expire on me. They expire in like 3 months. Sucks. $150 gone.
- 2

They expire in 1 month to redeem, and 3 months after you redeem it. Sucks that ACL says the rules around gift cards doesn’t apply for promotion. 1 month is too short.
- 0

Feel your pain, my $250 GC's gone :(
- 0

check your spam email. it might be too late but I found my gift card in spam folder. search for Karta
- 2

Same thing for me, except I changed providers after 100 days.
- 0

Same thing happened to me, it never tracked and so they claimed that I didn't meet the T&C. Never again.
- 0

Did you ask for evidence?
- 0

same signed in Oct no GC yet, will try luck.
- 0

I just passed the 120 day mark from the mid october promo.
Emailing them to chase it up, so will see what response I get.- 1

Keep me posted, I'll be there next week.
- 0

their response was along the lines of
If all eligibility criteria are met, a Prepaid Digital Mastercard will be sent to your registered email address from rewards@karta.com.au within 3-4 months from the date of sign-up. Based on this timeline, you can expect to receive the card between 1st to 15th February 2026.- 0

Received today
- 0

same, finally!
- 0

How long did it take
- 0

Did you get it? If so how long did it take. It has been 3.5 months for me as well
- 0

They did send it out, quietly, at the last minute. Whitelist the email address. Call them if you haven't received it yet. I got mine. You must activate within 30 days and use it in 90 days, so very short window.

Offer for Non NRMA Members only - 10% Guaranteed discount off ENGIE gas usage and supply charges and a $230 Welcome Credit on first gas bill.
Does this stack up on top of Electricity $125, Gas $75, Internet $100?- 0

yes
- 0

does anyone know, until how long you have to be x Engie customer before being eligible for upfront credit for electricity and gas again. we were with them in Nov 25, wonder if we qualify for upfront credit again?
- 0

my bad. its in 2nd point….answer is 12 months.
- 1

@s0805: they actually don't care. just use a different email. I always received the credit even less than 12 months
- 3

@freedomofspeech: does switching from engie to engie with different email eligible for the welcome credit?
- 0

Check that the daily rate isn't super inflated compared to other power co's, I found this out comparing the Energy Australia who are middling, with Globird and Origin (the worst culprit). Origin had a daily supply charge 3x that of Globird. Quite disgusting for one of the bigger PowerCo's in the country to engaging in this bait marketing crap, raking it all back and more in inflated fees. Criminals.
- -1

Gonna try to cancel my Origin NBN and challenge the 30 day notice period to jump on this.
- 1

Just cancelled my service over the phone with a date set for next week. Smooth process and no mention of the 30 day notice period. Will be leaving the rep a good rating as the 10 minute cancellation call went smoother than my speed has been the past month with Origin NBN.
- 0

Thanks, this looks considerably better. $200 for electricity and $100 for gas and only need to stay 30 days.
- 0

little lost on below condition in eligibility requirements. So it means, you have to pick retailer which you haven't been in last 12 months, but existing customers sentence is throwing me off….
This offer is available to new customers only. Existing customers of AGL, ActewAGL, ENGIE and EnergyAustralia are also eligible, provided they meet all other offer requirements. A ‘new customer’ is a customer who has not been with the same retailer in the past 12 months.
- 1

this is the same condition as per the deal from OP
- -1

Thank you for posting this, fingers crossed using another email as suggested by another commenter bypasses the 12 month requirement
- 0

Yes i can confirm that has worked for me in the past, I've run out of names for this 12 month period unfortunately haha
- 2

@Smoody: if you use a different name in household with same address on the econnex application, can you also use the same mobile number for the sake of the gift card getting sent to you?
- 0

not sure how you get away with different names as it needs to be match from the retailer you are moving away. I have just used different email but same address.
- 1

@s0805: when it says "new customer" - I dont think new customer to Econnex? New customer to the energy company?
- 0

Thanks, just signed up to change retailer.
- 0

good stuff is always in the comments, thanks :)
- 1

Can anyone please confirm whether this link is still valid? I contacted Econnex, and they said the link has been withdrawn and that this promotion is no longer available
- 0

Yeh I would like to know too
- 0

I called them at 7pm (even though their web site said 9am-6pm), and the call centre was still working. The person on the phone said the promotion is still available, assisted me with the sign up and confirmed my reference number. But I know how these things can go wrong so I asked for an email confirmation of the promotion. She said she can't, and said the call is recorded and can be used for verification down the track.
- 1

The blog entry is still in their blog pages.
- 0

Just signed up to AGL . Cheers
- 0

Many thanks for the link.
Curious questions to those with solar batteries and considering Engie (and their $175 promo credit). Do you consider the credit to be of any use as it cannot be cashed out and is unlikely to be used up before you churn to the next one?
- 0

Link seems to be gone - goes to general page
- 0

Scroll down and it still shows available
- 0

Yep that works
Thanks 🙏
- 1

Signed up 3.5 months ago. Nothing came yet
- 0

I'm about 5 days off 4 months from connection date and still nothing. Anyone received the GCs?
- 0

no, I called them and they said there is more time to send the gc, havent received yet
- 1

@Techefy: Still haven't received mine either. I called last week and was told they'd be sent out this week.
- 0

@tryonthis: Got a similar reply a couple of weeks ago, but still havent got anything, I am waiting for the card so I can switch again to someone else
- 1

@Techefy: I just received the gift card after 2pm for sign-up via the promo link(not OP's) in Feb.
I have been checking the replies here and thank you all for the follow-ups.
- 1

@Neoika: https://www.econnex.com.au/energy/blogs/top-energy-plans
Did you sign up using this? Which date in Feb if I may know? I signed up in 10 March and havent received mine.
Wondering if it needs to be full 4 months?
- 0

Received the gift card from this deal. Has anyone rinsed and repeated this deal?
- 0

Somehow got rejected by Powershop w/ Econnex last time. Should I try this again with another provider?
- 0

I used econnex a few months ago and hopefully should receive the gift card in a few days time. If I use econnex to change to a different supplier, do I get gift card again?
- 0

If you fulfilled the stay connected for 30/45/60 days then you should.
- 0

Through that link I can compare electricity and gas, but no option for internet..
edit: found that you sign up separately
- 0

Be warned: make sure to confirm econnex has registered the sign-up as being tracked for this promotion. Signed up a few times without issues and received gift cards. However, the last round (December) didn't track, only found this out by ringing them to confirm when the 45 days would be up. I'm sure that I signed up using the right link, so a bit annoying given the rates aren't always the best.
Also, gas can take a bit of time to process (ours is read every 90 days), reduces the benefit if you're stuck on a more expensive plan for an extra month or so. Getting the card for gas can take a while - up to 90 days until the meter's read + 45 days with the new provider + another month or 2 for the card to actually be issued.
- 1

How to confirm as being tracked?
- 1

Ringing them to confirm after submitting it seems to be the only way to be sure
- 0

Seems highly questionable that Econnex can claim the signup 'Did Not Track' being that the sign up is LITERALLY done through them and they send a confirmation email to you when you complete the process.
If it was Shopback or TCB etc - sure I can see tracking a transaction being questionable to occur but this is done actually through Econnex's own site - so if they're not "tracking it" - then who is????
Not a shot at you, rather questioning their very shoddy excuses.
- 11

Can I move from AGL under my name to AGL under my SO's name and qualify for the GC ?
- 0

What's so special about AGL? Why not switch to another provider like Engie and get extra welcome credit?
- 2

How much is the welcome credit from engie? Does is stack with this $200?
When i did the math for solar plans AGL seemed to be the best option - but engie was also competitive. I export to the grid a lot.- 0

I was still within 12 months of churning from Engie - now eligible - have switched to them for 30 days.
- 0

Yes I did this once
- 0

Missing 3 gift cards from Econnex from last year.
I do these every few months. Successfully got 5/8.Would recommend doing cashback instead. Unreliable as I always stayed for at least 60 days
- 1

I have noticed the welcome bonus from most suppliers is missing when using the econnex compare. For example Powershop giving 200 welcome if connected directly.
- 1

True, but you don't have to wait 90 days to be eligible for it unlike the Powershop credit.
For my electricity for example I'd rather get $50 (Momentum signup credit) + $125 (Econnex gift card) in 45 days, than get a $100 credit from Powershop after 90 days + however long it takes to consume the $100 credit.
To each their own though.
- 0

Anyone know if "new customer" is defined by fuel type. E.g. if I have had a gas account with AGL in the last 12 months but no electricity account would I still be able to sign up with AGL for electricity and be eligible for the gift card? I'm leaning towards yes.
- 0

Can I switch via Econnex then change to a different plan with the same provider and still be eligible for the gift card?
- -1

No, they force you on these relatively expensive plans in order to cover the costs of the GC's etc. If you change, even to same provider you will NOT get the GC.
- -1

What I said was untrue?????
LOL I didn't make their policy….no wonder folks don't bother to answer questions around here when this is the 'thanks' they get for it.
- 1

For Energy- This offer is available to new customers only. Existing customers of AGL, ActewAGL, ENGIE and EnergyAustralia are also eligible, provided they meet all other offer requirements. A ‘new customer’ is a customer who has not been with the same retailer in the past 12 months.
Can i use same mobile number and new email id to get this offer ?
- 0

Signed up with this on ENGIE, and the per kWh amount in the welcome email appears far higher than I remember on the site. That significantly diminishes the value of a sign up bonus
Is this normal?
And can I change plan once I've been connected?I know there's a cooling off period but I can't be bothered if I can simply swap it later.
- 1

I have zero qualms using and churning ENGIE for their $175 Welcome credit as the rates they charge in my area are utterly preposterous. Their peak rates on the offered plan are not far off DOUBLE the best priced plan on energymadeeasy.
Clearly they're happy to rort customers, so it's the least I can do to return the favour. Will be moving as soon as the 45 days is up! And FWIW their customer service is utterly crap, takes many days to get a response!
- 0

I thought it's $150? Oh well. The usage rates are high, but supply is the lowest for me, among all the churners. Good for the time of the year when I don't use too much. It's all gonna change in July with the free hours anyway. That's a brave new world.
- 0

Just got my gift card from the Oct 25 deal. They actually sent a text to tell me to check my spam folder for it. Thought that's nice. But that was a long wait lol Can't even comment on the op anymore. Also can't comment on the Dec 25 deal, I'm guessing I'll get that one in about 2 months.
- 0

What date did you sign up? Still waiting on mine, that they have down as sign up on 11/10 :/
- 0

I signed up when the October deal was posted here, so around 21/10? The email is from 'Karta Rewards <rewards@karta.com.au>' with the subject line 'Here is your $200 Gift Card!' This is my first time, so I can't guess how they work. But if they are fully automated and consistent, you should get a text message two days after you are emailed the gift card.
- 0

Just got my $300 gift cards from this offer
- 2

Has anyone got their cards already from this deal?
