    Not showing in my app.
I’ve only got the old deal of 4 months free, however it can’t be redeemed and claims something about no longer valid as maximum number of redemptions has already been reached.

      Then probably it is targeted.

Same, barely used Uber (Eats or to travel) the last time I was subscribed.

I got the deal but my existing uber one does end till March

    Uber One
6 months free thanks to Commbank Yello until 24 Mar, 2026

    Oh what cruel fate

    • They often keep these deals around for a while

  • what kind of account do you need with commbank to get these rewards?

    • +1

I think you mean, what kind of free account gets you these rewards. I'd like to know too

Commbank Yello has tiers based on size of deposits or mortgage. To get this Gold tier offer you'd need at least a 50k deposit or a home loan with Commbank.

Given their savings and mortgage rates aren't the best around it's debatable if the occasional reward provides good value.

I'm in the tier below, $500 deposit and 15 transactions a month, which gives frequent $5 off $50 Coles shops, or $10 off $70 Chemist Warehouse shops.

Only 3 months free and no Uber Cash credit for me.

    • i think it’s because we arent high level Yello customers, they made ranks now

Ubereats’ enshittification has accelerated recently. Stores that used to be free delivery for uber one members now has delivery charges ranging from $3 - $10.

I’ve also heard stores are now forced to pay exuberant ad fees (roughly extra 10-15% of net sales) just to avoid being shadow banned from the platform. Stores that have special offers (such as discounted items or save x save y offers) have to pay $1 to uber each time someone claims an offer (on top of fully funding the discount). This is on top of the standard 33% commission, so basically for every $100 spent by an uber customer (not including service or delivery fees), about $45 goes to the restaurant.

I’m sure drivers are also being similarly squeezed, maybe even worse than customers and restaurants.

Yeah because the truth is never in human history could middle class folk afford a private chauffeur for their burrito and yet there we were. This is just reversion to the mean.

    • yep i thought i was the only one, multiple places i used to order food from now $10 delivery, and when you get the free uber one deals like this you don't get the same discounts as paid users! If uber keep this up they will end up going the way of menulog

  • must be a CommBank Yello Gold customer

    that's probably why I didn't get it

I've been using doordash a lot more these days because uber is getting more expensive and no free uberone kills it.

  • I just tried to end my membership for the 4 months free offer (by commbank) and it offered me to get 70% off for the next 12 months upfront. hmmm..

Signed up in November to 4 free months, hoping the prices would be cheaper. It was a dollar cheaper to order from the particular restaurant we were interested in. We ended up saving $20 by picking takeaway up in person.

  • btw I cancelled Uber One last month and a couple of weeks later, as soon as I used Uber again, they offered me 1 year of Uber One for free, which I accepted of course

    • Wow that’s nice

  • Is it a generic link or unique?

    • Unique, need to click claim offer on the commbank app.

You also need to pay with CBA card to get the benefits anyway

      • Ah too bad. Thanks!

  • I got 4 months offer. better than nothing.

  • I got 4 months offer, went to cancel my current membership and got offered 85% 12 months. Worth a shout.
