Apparently the sugar variety can contain up to 50 teaspoons of sugar πŸ’€ More than a week's intake of sugar

    • Yep. Free diabetes

    • +2

You've mixed up teaspoons and grams.

For reference, a 2L bottle of Pepsi is a bit over 50 teaspoons of sugar (229 grams).

A large cola slurpee has 44.9 grams of sugar, which is 11 teaspoons. About the same as a regular can of mountain dew or solo. Also about the same as a can of Monster or a 450ml can of red bull.

Still 90% of your recommendation daily sugar intake so best to avoid, but no worse for you than a can of any other type of sugary drink.

Hell, a bottle of Gatorade or orange juice is only about 25% lower in sugar content than a large cola slurpee.

        Nah https://www.9news.com.au/national/sugary-drinks-australia-ca…

"Some popular frozen drinks contain almost 50 teaspoons of sugar β€” the equivalent of more than eight times the recommended daily sugar intake β€” a new Cancer Council study has revealed."

          Yeah, mega size, not large

You can get 50 teaspoons of sugar from milk if you drink enough of it

          • -4

@Jolakot: I never specified a size, so my statement is still true. It's still the sugar variety.

            Imagine comparing milk to this…

  • Had trouble last time redeeming the coffee. Not sure if this would work this time around.

Coffee always worked for me every week. What went wrong for you?

    • +1

I had an issue only once, and still was given a free coffee. Othewise it worked very well for 3-4 months whatever the time the reward was active.

    • Never had issue redeeming coffee, did they give it to you anyway at the end?

  • Condolences to SA, NT and TAS.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should

    • +2

Sugar free ones only taste slightly cancery, so its not entirely bad news.

Lol free serving of poison per week. Though i can see how thisd be convenient for giving the kids a treat every so often

Thanks for the heads up OP. I would have preferred coffee offer again but sometimes a cold slurpee is good in this hotter weather. Just have to hope the machine is working when I go in as it is often out of order.

  • Large slurpees are just $1 with the 7/11 app in Sydney
