CamelCamelCamel.Personal preference really, our preference is exactly the opposite of yours. That said, the new cap cocobella taste different and unfortunately not as nice as the old ones.
RawC tastes too sweet for me
The Guardian's Australian supermarket coconut water taste test gives it a score of 4.5/10
Cocobella Straight Up Coconut Water, 1L, $5.50 (55c per 100ml), available at major supermarkets
The tasters did not know all the products were 100% coconut water, nothing added. After the sixth product – when we tried the real coconut – they speculated various products were artificial or contained additives. Especially this one. A few reviewers said it smells like Raffaello chocolates. “Wow, rich, cakey and buttery. Tastes expensive to me, albeit not very coconutty,” one reviewer said. Others said it tasted like coconut liqueur, Cherry Ripe, fancy chocolate milk and piña colada. I have no doubt someone will love this. Is that person you? I guess it depends on your taste for fake luxury.
The highest score was UFC Refresh Coconut Water, 1L, $3.79 (38c per 100ml), available from select grocers
Woke palate preferences
An actual coconut got 8.6/10
Not all coconuts taste the same.
LOL, "cakey, liqueur, cherry, pina colada, chocolate" ?
Did they wash their mouths before test this or did they taste on a flavoured one? Have drank non-flavoured (just plain 100% coconut) Cocobella in last 3 years or so and barely taste any of those favours mentioned there.
Also from that article
"Namely, any product using Filipino coconuts, which are low-sugar, low-taste and smell like sweetened yoghurt. Instead, look for Thai coconut products, which are generally sweet, aromatic and good value."
Cocabella is product from Thailand.
Interesting getting comments on preferred brands. My comment below from a previsou post:
So, recently I did a blind taste test with 5 of my friends sampling 1L containers of straight up Cocobella, Raw C, H2Coco, and Coles and Woolworths branded coconut water. Results were interesting especially given the previous preferences of the participants.
Everyone selected Cocobella as the number one choice. Everyone selected Woolworths brand as the last choice.
Choices 2-4 were a little varied but the majority had Coles second, H2Coco third, and Raw C fourth. I think Coles may be made by Cocobella. If so, its position at number 2 is not unexpected.
From the containers,Cocobella and Coles are sourced from Thailand, H2Coco from Indonesia, Raw C from Vietnam, and Woolworths from the Philipines.
It seems Cocobella and Raw C are often at half price ($5.50 down to $2.75) - H2Coco usually only gets 30% off but its regular price is lower ($4.00 down to $2.75 currently at Woolworths). Coles & Woolworths brands are always close to the half price cost of the branded products ($2.85).
I often wonder where all the coconuts come from to supply so much bottled water. One green coconut has about 1-2 cups of water on average.

Aldi Chocolate coconut water is elite over this for 3$ :)
definitely agree, but I am curious to try out the cocobella coffee flavor
I tried it, wouldn't get it again. To me it was like a watered down latte.
It's not bad, it tastes similar to an oat milk latte.
raw c for the ois
Just get the ALDI Chocolate version. You won't regret it.
Don’t know why people are comparing plain coconut water to the chocolate version. People buy the straight up because they want pure coconut water, not chocolate flavoring..plus less sugar
I never tried coconut water, never even thought about it.
I ordered 12 liters, thanks! 👍🍻
It depends on the batch i guess. I've had a few that have tasted.. no so good. Kind of like the carton it's in. But i've also had a few recently that have tasted similar to tipco which is my favourite one. It's sweet, reminds me of sugarcane juice
He’s been drinking coco…NUT!!
