my exact washing machine, 5 years in..0 complaints!

  • We have a similar one 5 years old.. we use omo liquid wash at 60deg and use a cheap heatpump dryer and clothes dont smell good… Dont know if its the washing machine or the dryer… Any leads?

      Have you tried these?
      1. Clean the filter
      2. Run the drum clean (maybe a few times)
      3. Put through a cleaning solution

And after doing this make sure you keep the door ajar when it isn't being used.

      • Yeah.. filters cleaned in 2-3 cycles.. drum clean every 4 months with washing machine cleaner..

Dry the cloths on a wire and see if they still smell. Then its not the drier. Also sometimes cloths need baking soda or diluted vinegar dip once in a while to remove the odour. Especially old cloths/towels.

      • Yeah.. this sounds like a plan to see if its the washing machine or the dryer

    • Had a similar issue with my washing machine. I cleaned the lint filter (which was absolutely disgusting) and put in a cleaning solution (can’t remember which one but it was from Woolies), and ran it for the longest hot cycle. That solved my issue with the smell.

    • Throw in a Dishwasher tab & put it on 'Drum Clean' cycle. Repeat if water still drains dirty at the end of the cycle.

Remember to also clean the filter (usually lower right corner behind the little door).

Good machine got it 2.5 years ago for $575 and still going good

Good guys was changing their inventory, so alot of display units were on sale.

    I bought a tcl WF10P11W for $460.

  • had a samsung top load washing machine, rusted at the top, never again, only happened with this brand, samsung should stick to phones

    • Ive had a Samsung top loader for 4 years, no issues, used everyday. Btw, just like any other applicance or asset, you need to look after it. Filters, drum cleans etc.

      • how do you take care of rust? the paint started to peal and rust 1 month out of warranty, samsung didnt want to repair or replace

        • Don't put it outside

What is that with the discrimination like new customers only? Is it even legal?

    • Of course it is.

Insurance companies do it all the time.

Samsung washing machines are shit, ours lasted 4 years before literally falling apart after numerous repairs done by me.

    Save your money.

    • Maybe get an actual repair guy out next time. My 2018 Samsung front loader is still going strong

      • No. I do my own repairs. Great that your machine is fine but my experience is that Samsung washers (and fridges) are shit.

  • Where do you put the promo code?

    • Found it, it's on the right under My Cart, rather than the payment section on the left.

  • Free shipping!

The machine is a little small for me but I purchased one for a family member.

$349 shipped interstate is a great deal.

    • How did you get free shipment?

      • I put the address in to get a shipping quote and it was free!

I was expecting it to be $70 or so but free is even better.

  • Not having a go at the quality of this unit but far out it looks like something from Aldi similarly priced at full RRP of 300-400

    • Not my first choice but it's $349 delivered.

It has Digital Inverter Technology which I doubt the Aldi does.

Enjoy great enery efficiency, less noise and lasting performance. Digital Inverter Technology uses strong magnets for a quiet and powerful wash performance. By eliminating the use of brushes, it helps provide outstanding durability backed-up by our 11 year warranty.

The machine has a lot of bad reviews and appliances online can do it for the same price with delivery when I spoke to them but they did not recommend this

  • Thinking of getting this for my folks but just realised it doesn't do cold water loads

    • +1

Just got one last week and I just checked the default on the daily wash is cold, pressing the temp button changes to 20/30/40 degrees

      • Thanks for the update. I have now ordered one for my parents.
        Cheers.

    • Yes it does.

      • Yeah, i have found it since. Cheers.
When using the Bing Lee compare function it shows this model has no cold water wash cycle.

  • Thanks OP, grabbed one for the new place.

    No love for Perth. :(

    • Yeah unfortunately so 😮‍💨

  • Code works without an account. Free shipping for me. For this price, it can't go wrong. The efficiencies are not high. But it's good enough as a sharing machine. For personal family use, I shall look for a fancier one. Life is short.

  • I bought this machine for myself 2 years ago now. Zero issues, works great - only downside is the stupid Samsung chime.

In terms of reliability my old housemate situation used this machine between the 5 of us and it get used multiple times a day - still going strong.

I wouldn't put any fabric softener in the thing tho - its a bit annoying to clean up the dried up bits

  • Thanks op, bought!

  • Great find, just ordered. Thanks op!

  • Seems like they fixed it, can't get free delivery with coupon anymore

  • As others have said this isnt really a Samsung washer, same as the Aldi Stirling 8.5kg machine.

    Price is good though

  • Ive used a similar machine. It has been great.

  • FYI there are around 600 units left in the warehouse, checked at 2pm, saw it flash on the guys screen.
    Unfortunately for me, i have
    * a f&P toploader with two inlets (uses almost no power for warm, because it comes from my water tank)
    * a 2400w dryer
    * only one 2 outlet GPO

If i change to this deal, does anyone know if i can run washer + dryer at the same time? i'm guessing not, since it'll be closer to 4800w than before

    • Very unlikely you’ll be able to run both at the same time on a single double GPO. Even though your f&p top loader is using hot water coming from the tank, it’ll still draw power for the motor + pump. The bigger issue is the 2400W dryer. On a standard 10amp circuit you’re capped at 2400w total and a double outlet doesn’t increase that.. it’s still the same circuit.

    • I regularly run my washer (cold water inlet only, usually 30 degree wash) and dryer on the same GPO at the same time. Never had an issue with the fuse tripping
