    (RRP = Ridiculous Retail Price)

    • also Rip-Off Retail Price

  • Is this a good price for this game?

    • +2

      Yes $109 @ JB, AMZN & $119 @ EB so $74 is a good deal

    • +5

No, this game was released August 2024. Its a very bad price for this game.

      • +3

Not to mention the fact that it is a digital copy as well. Quite odd seeing so many posts for digital games at this price as 'bargains'.

        • +1

It's because the Chinese publisher has stubbornly refused to drop the price of the game or put it on any meaningful sale in a year and a half. Very rare in the games industry, but sadly it is what it is. And given the physical release was SO limited, barely anyone has stock and therefore it doesn't get discounted there either. The second hand market for it is similarly crazy for the discs ($80-90 etc).

So as much as I hate to say it, this IS a bargain for THIS game.

      • I take it that you don't have any Nintendo products?

  • +6

Finished both games long time ago. Both are excellent games.

Bought Black Myth digital copy from Hong Kong PS Store pre-order, much cheaper, as this is Chinese game, HK store is the cheapest region for this game.

Bought Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 disc copy from JB price match lower price from somewhere else + $10 Peak credit and sold via facebook market to cover the money I spent so bacially paid $0 for the game.

    • @hnxhyz how do you buy from the HK store? do you need a new account?

      • Yes, make a new account and purchase HK gift cards.

      • My main store is HK store, you will need new account for HK ps store, you can use credit card ($0 international fee preferred) to make the payment.

    • As I mentioned, buy Black Myth: Wukong from PS HK Store, only $223.50 HK dollar = $41.08 AUD.

You will need new account for HK PS store, takes 2 mins to creat the account.

This game is Chinese game, HK store is the cheapest region for this game.

      • cheers, just did this :)

    • How did you use HK mobile number? It checks SMS verification.

Can't believe this old game is still so expensive, this is because it has yet to be cracked. This game needs to be cracked asap, then its price will plummet.

    • +2

      RIP Empress :(

      • -1

Fyi there's a few new Denuvo crackers that have popped up, and a new hypervisor type tools/cracks (not as good as traditional copy/paste cracks).

        • Yeah I used this one, worked well. Finished the game using it.

    • ps5 can play cracked games?

      • Short Answer: Maybe
Long Answer: You need a PS5 that is on a low firmware (currently 10.01), search “Modded Warfare PS5 jailbreak” on YouTube to know more about this.

    • I take it that you don't have any Nintendo products?

This game uses the Denuvo DRM protection. It is very difficult to crack because it has many failsafes and protections, one of which include fake code and only revealing the code base at certain times which means in order to crack it, someone needs to complete the entire game, go through all the choices otherwise the cracked game will crash and not work. There has been claims on reddit that it is getting close to being cracked, the end working version at the moment requires you to run the cracked game in a VM, which is not ideal as must people don't know how to do that, so they are looking for other solutions.

I'm happy to play other backlog of good quality games in the meantime, until price for this drops to a more reasonable level, I'm happen to pay $10 or even $20 for a nearly 2 year old game, but definitely not $70 or over $100, that's daylight robbery

black myth wukong now has a crack out - you need to load custom driver. I have ended the game using it. Got only 1 bug where the monkey disappeared in 2nd chapter.

    • +1

this post is ps5 not pc. cracked ps5 game is not a thing

      • Actually it’s easier on PS5 to play “Black Myth Wukong” for free, if your installed firmware on PS5 is less than 10.01. There is a working backup that you can play with kstuf, search “Modded Warfare Kstuff PS5 10.01” to know more

I would buy BMW on steam but it never has any decent sales so I'll continue waiting, I have a huge backlog so not even a little tempted at this price. Maybe when it's like $30

  • +2

If you've already played Wukong, or the price is still too high for you, I can recommend Wuchang: Fallen Feathers on sale for $49.

Its another Chinese action RPG but is the exploration and combat is great - very much inspired by Dark Souls.

  • +2

Should be selling for a lower price by now given it's age.

    • +1

Game Science developed and published it and sadly refuse to discount it - this is the biggest sale it's ever had to memory. They've already announced the sequel and still no meaningful discounts! If it got a full physical release it would be a different story as retailers tried to lure in buyers, but it was such a limited physical release that it has never been discounted in stores and likely never will be.

there's a crack available for black myth wukong now, lol, used that to complete the game. I'm thinking of buying it now to support the devs, this was truly a experience!

    • -2

Care to share what i can google to find it?

      • I wouldn’t risk it. It’d be one of those Denuvo activations sites.

Look up the reddit piratedgames megathread for more info

        • Yeah it's not. I literally just finished the game this weekend using it.

      • Check on dodi

  • Expedition 33, what a game which still sticks to mind long after finishing, with a phenomenal soundtrack.Special mention of the track Flying Waters - Rain from the Ground, such a banger and an unexpected genre twist.

  • +1

How many knobs seriously taking about a ‘crack’ for a digital PlayStation game…

    • +4

They're talking about Denuvo DRM which is only on PC. But I agree, not the most dignified topic to discuss.

  • Buy from PS HK Store, only $223.50 HK dollar = $41.08 AUD.

This game is Chinese game, HK store is the cheapest region for this game.

    • How do it do that?

      • +1

Fly to Hong Kong with your PS5, login online, purchase the game, return to Australia, then make sure you don't go online while in Australia.

        • +2

nah, no need to use vpn mate.

Just do everything like normal, either create new hk account via PlayStation™Store Hong Kong website or via your PS5.

Sony is not like Youtube or Netflix. They allowed you to have other countries account. I got PSN Japan account as well.

Once game purchased and downloaded you can either use HK account to play or switch back to AU account to play.

          • @hnxhyz: Is having other country accounts a good strategy to get other ps games at a lower price than in Aus?

            • @Rebsphere: As far as I know, all the Chinese game Black Myth: Wukong & Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, even the game that haven't released yet such as Phantom Blade Zero will be much cheaper if you buy it from Ps Hong Kong store.

  • Any PS5 Disc console deals :)

  • +1

forewarning- this game may have you pulling your hair out. can be frustratingly difficult

  • For anyone interested, there's a Playstation store voucher for 10% off in the classifieds

  • As someone who loves Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring would I enjoy Black Myth for this price or is it a different experience that I may find hit or miss?

I refused to buy it when it first came out for the $100+ RRP and was hoping to pick it up for about $70 physical eventually but given the time that has passed, clearly not going to happen anytime soon.
