  • A warning about the original Prince of Persia: Warrior Within… %$^#^#$%#$#%#$% ##$%#$ %#%#$% CD copy protection. Has worse than safedisc4 copy protection. After install on a weary morning of 3-4 weeks ago. A popup to said 'install complete, restart the computer.'

Nope not happening, it deleted the damn win11 boot up. #@%#$^#$&#$&$%^$^#$ - Indeed we have the original CD's~!!!
Then memories recalled, , yeah this game had customer computers come in to say the game formatted their computers. But it was the win98 winboot crap.
PCGAMING WIKI IS YOUR FRIEND FOR GAMING TECH INFO.

POP The sands of time can be found cheaper on the ubi store two weeks ago, but we tried it two weeks ago and what a pain to setup. But once your in, it works.
However the ubi store online has removed The Warrior Within.

    • Generally GOG removes copy protection or at the very least disables it. That is their whole DRM-free motto.

    • works perfectly on steam

  • Sands of time was beyond its time

    • It's a shame the remake got cancelled.

      • not really with how careless they were

        • Yeah I think Ubisoft India destroyed it. The switch game is ok you can pay a dollar DLC and get a more traditional/heterosexual costume for the price.

          • @Donmega123: When they gave it to Ubisoft Pune who most people have never heard of and then released that tone deaf showcase and interview I honestly dont know what they were thinking

That teaser looked like a PS3 game at best

PoP remakes could've easily been an easy way back into relevance for Ubisoft, now I dont even know what they are doing, kinda sad, I hoped we'd get a coop game like Far Cry 5 again, even Division 2 was really fun with friends

  • I still remember playing the original 30 odd years ago and getting to the first set of potions and always got it wrong. Still don't know what the same answer was to get through the door.

    • Remember fighting the fat dude, he had way more sexual charisma than the prince, princess and vizier combined.

  • the lost crown?

    • Too new and still moderately successful.

  • Shadow and the Flame?

  • The final hours of Prince of Persia is an old article but still worth a read (actually I enjoyed all of that series of articles). Cool story about how a bunch of young developers who's previous experience was making basic kids game came together to create this.

    • Looks like they're all here, including some newer ones I haven't seen (may not be free to read though).

  • Just replayed Sands of Time a few weeks ago; still awesome.

  • Pretty dardy game.

  • I remember they made an iOS version at some stage and very unfortunately you can't download it anymore….
