According to iFixit, you should be able to, but for such purposes, a cheaper 1st Gen may be better suited.
Don’t bother with Ipswich store. Given old stock at first then waited 30 mins for them to look only to be told they don’t have any. Their system showed 10 in stock. Got given a refund as they don’t do orders.
North Lakes also, old stock.
They have new stock. They might not have put it up, that’s all.
Get hold of a staff, show them the picture and part number from this spot by OP.
The staff will check their stock levels, and issue you a merchandise order slip, which you bring to the cashier to pay, then pick up. Same price- $139.99

I paid with the new item number and told 10 in stock and given gen 1, only to have to get a refund as they could not find them.
Ended up getting the new stock at that price from North Lakes a few days later.
