  • 800w for a 9070? I thought these only needed like 650w?

    • Looking at the tdp of the card, a 650w power supply definitely feels enough.

      • I have a 750W for the XT and I have it OCd and +10 power pushed and the power supply is yawning. But my AMD CPU is very efficient. So if you are on a mid-range AMD CPU you'd almost be fine with 500W.

    • Yeah that 800w requirement is way off, 650w is whats usually recommended.

    • I guess they want to leave enough headroom in case you don't have a ATX 3.1 power supply that can deal with the transient load spikes.

    • It doesn't even need 650w.

But the recommendations are always extremely inflated on purpose.

There's no guarantee people buying any graphics card have a quality power supply, or how old or efficient it is.

      I ran a 450w sfx psu with a gtx 1070 and ryzen 2600, eventually a 5600x and 3060 Ti too without issues. (I eventually bumped to a 750w sfx, which I'm now running a 7800x3d and 9070 myself on).

    • The card is rated at 220W so yeah, that's completely unnecessary

    • I’ve been running an OC Hellhound version of it with a 650W no issues. But depends on you CPU and other gears power draw

  • Holy! This a pretty good flash deal on this one from Centre Com.

It's gotta be the most fps/dollar deal we've seen right? Aside from that one 7900 xtx deal or whatever

I'm getting buyer remorse for getting the Rx 9070 Xt instead of this tbh.

    • Most fps/$, until RT gets turned on lol.

    • I made the same sort of reluctant purchase, but it's also an 'always a bigger fish' deal. I think we're on the lower end of the scale of goofs and we're probably at the tail of the tail end of reasonable pricing with the RAMpocalypse and now spiking gold, silver and copper prices. It keeps looking grimmer and grimmer. So yeah, I broke glass and will be sending my 6800xt to my brother who is on an increasingly uncooperative 2060 super. Nothing wrong with hedging and maybe the mild performance delta with in favour of the xt will be making gaming noticeably more enjoyable than on the better pound for pound card before it makes sense to look at another upgrade.

    • No you did well getting the 9070xt - No regret

    • There is no right and wrong really and they all perform good enough. Get what you really enjoy ☺️
I know people loving their 9060 XT and some people regretting their 5080s.

  • Really good price which is even cheaper than the price in China.

  • 65mm width ~= 3.2 slots though two fans

    • Good pick up, that's a thick one.

      • y, doesn't fit my case

    • It says only dual slot though?

        • That's the triple fan variant. Dual fan is listed as "2 slots" while triple is listed as "3.5 slots". Dual fan is also shorter (but slighty wider).

Edit: Triple fan has some extra lengths mentioned for some reason..

      • They mean dual slot bracket, perhaps misleadingly

    • Fit just right on CH160, hmm, not sure if I want it…

      • Yeah don't, I imagine you need some breathing space for air to get in that case.

I'm no expert in small form factors though

        • I installed earlier today and fit just nice, albeit less than 5mm gap to the bottom of the case. Huge leap from 3060Ti!

  • How much better than a 9060xt 16gb is this for 1440 do we think?

  • Great price considering I paid about the same for a 7800xt a few months ago

  • Guess no one at Centre Com knows about the global memory shortage? They've had a week of insane GPU deals whilst everyone else is jacking prices.

    • AUD/USD is up 10% since the scare news started last year.

      • And? They were selling 5070 Tis for $1,262. Those cards in the US are $1,570+ in AUD including GST, and are OOS nearly everywhere.

Plus Aussies usually pay 10-15% more for tech than in the US after GST and FX conversion.

        • Could be that there are more stock locally.
Why question Centrecom trying to give the general public fair and affordable parts? Just embrace it ;)

        • Dude where have you been, US have Tariffs on them. Wouldn't use US prices as gauge at all.

          • @plmko: Tariffs have been delayed until at least November, 2026.

China will not be paying tariffs implemented by the most corrupt president ever. They just pay Trump off, and he delays it in perpetuity.

            • @iseeyou1312: that's why we need to get rid of DEI

can't make someone president just because orange people have been historically marginalised

  • Would this fit in the Radium one posted a few days ago? Getting different answers online but thinking of BYO gpu

  • really really don't like the 2 fan design

    • as someone who is new to gaming and graphics cards etc can i ask is two fans a deal breaker? what are the disadvantages? would they run a lot hotter / louder?

      • The 2 fans will have to spin faster since there are less fans to cool the GPU

The 2 fans may be louder as a result

      • It was a very personal take, I have larger case so I can fit larger card for (slight) better cooling. I wouldn't consider it a deal breaker.

    • Not that it really matters now that it's very much expired, but it looks like this specific dual-fan configuration is nearly as heavy as their equivalent 3-fan model at 2.3kg vs 2.35kg package weight (implying the heatsink is nearly as heavy anyway), so there might be less cooling difference than you'd expect but you'd probably need to find a reviewer with both cards to confirm.

  • Wow if I knew about this deal, I would've gotten this instead of the 5070ti…..now I'm regretting it

    • Nah no way get the 5070ti it's heading for another 10% price rise soon. You'll be able to sell your used card for profit by years end.

  • Anyone thinking about a GPU upgrade - buy this. Nvidia have exited the dGPU market to save memory for business orders. Before too long you won't be able to buy Blackwell cards, and the 9070 will be double this price.

  • All gone ladies and germs.

  • Link is dead

  • fkkkkkkk

i was about to buy it T_T

  • NOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooOOoOOoooOoooOo!
    Come back!

    • (insert batman crying meme)

  • managed to snag one - thanks op!
now some better card is bound to go on sale for even cheaper - you're welcome OzB!

    • @Jaspa7 I wish I could've grabbed this earlier.
Do you happen to know whats the next better card and when on sale?

      • the 9070 xt would be the next best card in that series, just have to keep an eye on ozbargain for sales

    • I doubt a better value card will appear for some time unfortunately.

    • You'll be waiting until 2028 for that to happen lol

  • Dang. This card really had its black swan moment this late into its sales cycle
