Been watching this set for my collection. I believe this is the first time it's been discounted to this level.
Hope it helps someone.

CamelCamelCamel.Sorry fixed it
Soundwave superior, Autobots inferior
I hear the Constructions are inferior
F##k that price is ridiculous. I bought Optimus for $150 when it was released!
yeah tell me about it, the RRP is way overpriced
I bought this from AliExpress. Its a good set.
What are they like? Are they the "compatible" set type?
If you want to keep forever, go for it, otherwise hard to resell and have to do it for dirt cheap. MP buyers tend to be genuine Lego snobs.
Mostly ok. Technic joins can be very loose especially for the joints. Also got Bumblebee from AliExpress. I do have Optimus Prime though as a genuine set. Have yet to make the real one
I always get knockoffs from AE if the pricing differential is huge
E.g. I got hulk buster 76210 for $130 delivered, built it but it had an piece incorrect (shoe cover piece) so I contacted AE and they gave me a full refund, then I contacted Lego and they sent the piece for free!!!!!
I got 75406 and the plaque piece (1x 6536325) had a massive typo lol, it says SWAR WARs…Haven't bothered to get a replacement piece
Some set pricing is ridiculously cheap in comparison but there is a risk so definitely read buyer reviews.
Latest I've ordered is the Batman tumbler 2049 piece.
oh wow thats nice of them! i was expecing AE to send you the correct piece. Did you have to send a photo?
bahahahahaha SWAR WARS - that you would definitely ask for a refund so why havent you yet?
but yeah if its something expensive, i think im just going to get it from AE. i mean its probably from the next door factory since lego is made from china so …. was thinking that massive star war shop, titanic etc and get it for 1/5 of the price
whats your overall view of the knockoffs from AE? could you tell the difference between a genuine lego and AE version?
@prankster: Yeah AE take you through a process asking for photos etc. the hulkbuster pretty much looked like it had two left feet because of the incorrect piece and i didn't want a refund but i guess it's too difficult to organise just a specific piece. Stoked to get a refund though lol.
I have heaps of Lego on display and I should do something about the star wars but i think it's funny and i don't hide that I buy knock offs hahaha.
The knockoffs feel the same, I would say it's legit same same, some differences are instruction manuals are not as high quality, some sets offer pdf instructions via QR.
I have never looked at a legit instruction book (pdf) to build a knockoff, only when i think a piece is missing or broken (melted) but i have thousands of Lego pieces and generally easily find a replacement (hasn't happened more than 3 pieces - Optimus prime shoulder piece, hulk buster shoe, swar wars) and i have a 30+ sets on display, I'll take a photo!
The bags are numbered as per their instruction book but it's plastic not that paper bag Lego now uses, and obviously no boxes which sometimes I want.
The pieces themselves don't say 'Lego' on each 'dot' if you look carefully.
I buy both legit and knockoff depending on what i intend to do with it and generally buy AE if there is a review with photos.
I ordered the vending machine from AliExpress. The shipping was expected to take a month so I already knew I was in for a wait. Anyway the order exceeded AliExpress 30 days delivery time and they auto refunded me. I got the set delivered the next week 😄
Just went to AE and bought this for $45, thanks for the tip.. probably should have quit then before adding a MP Megatron to the cart for $100.
Hahaha well you did save so why not. I recently also purchased a 75434 knockoff and going to turn it into a Xenomorph!
Rebrickables website is nasty on the wallet too lol, check it out!
@Kammi: had to search this Rebrickables but its basically selling instructions on how to use your existing lego to make that set - but you'd have to have so much lego leftover and also trying to find specific pieces would make you go mad does it not? lol
@prankster: Yeah but it's part of the fun i guess? I sort my Lego by colour and type e.g. all black pieces, or all orange pieces or all 'weapons' or all 'people related' pieces.
I've got a lot of Lego! What makes me nuts is not having sorted Lego (I've got a two large tubs to sort).
Could you provide us the link please?
Does anyone know why the big retailers don't sell it?
Limited appeal and limited profit margin?
And by "limited" you mean "can't make 400% like we want so we'll chuck a wobbley and not sell it at all"
Target has it online (but only $10 less than retail last time I checked)
It's listed on lego.com as an exclusive (but it's available at target somehow)
Ahhh I really want it but dun want to contribute to inflation 😜😜😜
you dont have to worry, theres enough people spending already to bring it up lol
Amazon is telling you "Price higher than typical" hahahahahaha
available and cheaper now
242.62?
it was $213.82
As at 06/03/2026 9:10am AEDT… Back in stock at a lesser price of $213.82!!!
I pulled the trigger with 3% off Amazon GC, brings this down to $207.41.
Happy Friday 🍻
Um wrong link? Ear plugs?
