GameSir C2 Universal Arcade Fightstick $89 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ Centre Com

630

EDIT: Make sure you read the note about connecting PS4 and Xbox One, you have to connect the controller to the joystick for it to work, it's a pretty clunky way to do it, but it's required. For PC and switch direct connection. I don't use console so didn't see this when i posted.

At $89 these are a good cheap arcade stick. Compatible with PS4, PC, Xbox One, Switch. They have Sanwa buttons and stick, genuine ones. It's a really sturdy stick for the price, quite a large footprint also. They can be modded easily as well, standard Sanwa sticks and buttons connectors. The additional buttons on the top can also be tapped for modding but those buttons are surface mounted so you need to tap onto the connection points. I did purchase and mod one before i posted this, it's a fairly decent stick. Easy access to the back to open it up, it comes with the tools needed.

Surcharges: 0% for bank deposit, Afterpay & Zip Money. 1.2% for VISA / MasterCard & PayPal. 2.2% for AmEx.

Original price of $199 is price jacked for comparison, but this is still $145-$150 anywhere else.

Not wireless, cabled only.

Sanwa parts for under 100 bucks, we've come a long way since the shitty 360 hori sticks

    • +3

For historys sake; Only the entry level ones were unknown OEMs.
The Hori 'Real Arcade' series was all Sanwa.

      • My recollection is that the entry level was all hori-made buttons and sticks, but even the "high end" HRAPs were often sanwa stick, hori buttons apart from the ones marked SA (sanwa) or SE (seimitsu)

the hori buttons were stinky until they did the kuro/hayabusa stuff.

Sign up to the website for a $5 coupon. There isn't an asterisk next to it, so I think there isn't any minimum spend.

  • Cheapest delivery for me was $17.95.
It's a good deal but the delivery is a little steep

Package Size. 446x295x160mm. Net Weight. 3500g. Gross Weight. 3900g

      Must be why it's expensive.

      • +3

        That is a big stick

      • +5

17.95 seems reasonable for that size parcel

I’d spend that on a round trip to my closest centrecom in fuel and time alone (50 min round trip)

As mentioned, it's a decent sized/weighted stick, and yes the box is pretty large.

  • Assuming no way of making it work with PS5,SeriesX and or SW2?

    • +1

It says it's compatible with Xbox One so it would have to work on XSX wouldnt it?

    • I modded mine before i posted this, the 8 main buttons use regular sanwa button terminal, and the stick uses standard 5 button sanwa connector, but all of the top buttons, like the L triggers etc, they're surface mount, but you can easily solder onto the legs to tap into their functionality, there's a decent size leg on each of the buttons to attach to, it's not micro soldering.

But you'll need to mod it using one of these, as mentioned. IT does have a really nice cable compartment on the back of it that you can put all this in.

    • Looking at the manual it explicitly states is works with the XBox Series X and XBox Series S (as well as the XBox One series of consoles).

It also has a specific instruction page in the manual on how to connect to XBox Series X with artwork showing a series X - so I'm confident it does.

I do have a Series X here, just haven't had time to try it out yet. Been playing with it connected to a Nintendo Switch so far. Works well. You do have to do some finger contortions to connect it to a switch; you need to hold down the A and X buttons on the the fight stick when plugging the USB A connector into the Switch dock.

  • All true ozbargainers map up/jump to a button for quick dragon punch.

Nah, we're OzBargain not OzCheap or OzScrub

    • Sleeping under a rock but thats possible ? LOL

I know on the recent generations (360/ps3 and onward) you could map the low/med/high puinch/kick to a single shoulder button, which made the ultra specials even easier.

      • This is already mapped on sfv by default

  • What games……do you recommend for this on xbox one …?

    • There is a few Capcom fighting collections and Capcom vs Marvel. Killer instinct is fantastic. 2XKO (F2P) just came out. Tekken, Guilty Gear, Mortal Kombat.
Fight sticks are great for Tetris or side scrolling neat em ups (Streets of Rage/TMNT/Scott pilgrim.

        Bro Samurai showdown!

  • Any adapter to make this work with PS2/PS3?

    • Most USB ones just do for ps3.

I use a GamesMen TANK for BlazBlue which is just xInput.

      • Do you have a product to share? Im looking to have it working for PS2 and PS3 as well.

  • Is this a better option than the 8bitdo Arcade Stick?

    • +5

I have both sticks. At $89, i would recommend this one over the 8 bit do any day in terms of the hardware, BUT, it really comes down to use case. The 8 bit do has wireless, so if you want wireless, then 8 bit do is the only option really as this doesn't have wireless.

Even if the price was the same as 8bitdo stick, hardware wise i would still pick this one just because it has sanwa stick and buttons, and a larger more heavy footprint, which i prefer, but it comes down to preference. If you want a smaller footprint and a lighter stick, then the 8bitdo wins for sure.

I can't even find what the 8bitdo stick definitively support, i don't think it supports ps5? It seems to pretty much support everything else though. So better is really personal preference, but hardware side by side, i believe this stick has better hardware out of the box. No wireless is probably going to kill it for a lot of people though.

        Nice. Thanks for your response.
Im not too fussed with the lack of wireless. USB extension cables are the fix to that problem.

Read my note about connecting it to consoles below, i don't play on consoles, but the way it works on consoles is…. pretty clunky at best.

  • I just started playing shock troopers this would be sweet with it

  • i trying to decide to buy this… but i hope it doesn't sell out when i make the decision

  • I don't play on consoles, but i just noticed, you have to have the controller connected to it for it to work on xbox one and ps4…. thats a really janky setup if you want it for consoles.

Scroll down and look at the image, it shows you have to connect the controller to it for it to work with consoles…. that's pretty janky…. It connects directly to pc and switch. I would say if you want it for either of those, good buy, if you want it for console and modding, put a brooks board in it..

  • can you mod the surface art? it's a bit of an eyesore

    • +2

Yes, there's a template where you can create your own, it's designed to be replaced easily.

  • +4

Great for MAME emulation, but if fighting game mastery is your goal most people eventually see better results with a hitbox because of the input speed advantage and some otherwise impossible sequencing advantages though a stick is more intuitive for most. FGC sweat aside, this looks like great fun and well-priced for a solid knock around stick.

  • Works for PS5? XBX ?

    • no.

    • Manual states it works with a Xbox Series X, Series S and the Xbox One console lineup. Haven't tried it yet, but will in the next few days.

Doesn't look like it will work natively with a PS5.

      • Let me know if it works on Xbox Series X ? :-)

        • Haven't tried it yet but here is an online version of the manual that shows the support for the XBox Series X and the connection process: https://gamesir.com/pages/gamesir-c2-tutorial . XBox Series X is the 3rd system from the top.

  • Thanks OP.
Still 2 left at Nunawading store.

Thanks OP. Did a run to the Auburn store and picked one up. Amazing value for what you get. Great hardware, solid, weighty and has Sanwa components. Plus the default artwork isn't bad - easy to use happily straight from the box.

  • Thanks OP! Bought one online ✅

  • Add a $2 CAT6 cable to the order to take it over $90 and get another $10 off the whole order with code "5WWAN1VNS2HY" til tomorrow.
