    Shocking beer though

    • +3

      But better than Bintang tees.

      • anything is better than Bintang tees

  • +2

How do superdry tees compare to Uniqlo in terms of quality?

    • +30

Personally, I like the material. It is soft and quite thick. If you like the contrast stitching, it is an okay look.
My opinion though is it is quite short on the sleeves and can be a bit tight on the armpit/shoulder area.
I mix brands of t-shirts and rank them alright because of material but not amazing because of the fit.

      • +5

Appreciate your opinion before committing $100 for 4 shirts.

        • +14

Superdry usually runs small. I usually have to get 1 size up than my normal L size.

          • @RADICALIST: Agree. I like the brand too but the last medium polos i got are very tight around shoulder/under arms.
Their logos can feel a bit too much

          • +1

@RADICALIST: I actually think it depends on the item. Historically, Superdry used to run quite small, especially in coats and jackets, but nowadays I’ve actually switched from medium to small in tees. The new essential tees have inbuilt stretch so they fit me better than the non-stretch mediums do. I also have a couple of identical hoodies, one grey, one navy, and the navy is a LOT bigger. If you’re buying, get to a store (or an outlet) and try first.

            • @Orrelljet: Depends on your physique as well, can vary widely (and dad bods are still in style lol).

I would still size up for tees and polos, best to try on ay Myer or something.

          • @RADICALIST: At least one-size up, maybe two
Bought 4 a size larger than my standard size as recommended.
Only 2 of the 4 actually fit me - all the same size by the tag, but not consistent
            = my 16 year-old now has 2 new t-shirts

      • +1

        Agree re: fit.

I've got 4 Superdry shirts in 2 styles.

I'm each style, I have one of each size per colour. You definitely have to try them on unfortunately.

      • +5

Fun Fact, Superdry is a UK created company….

        • +10

They also do not exist in Japan at all, contrary to their advertising.

          • +2

@HamBoi69: Another fact, superdry shirt not allowed to trade in Japan due to trademark of asahi superdry word

      • -6

Why are we acting like $25 for a shirt isn’t an issue here

        • +4

Ever tried top shelf stuff like Merz B Schwanen, Asket, Wonderlooper etc?

          That would blow your mind.

I would have thought $25 per T-shirt would be in the budget territory - still pretty fast fashion (obviously not Kmart tier).

          • @ThadtheChad: Why not Kmart tier? What’s the diff. Like these Superdry ones don’t even have any cool graphics to atleast justify the price.

            • +6

@iDeker: They hold up pretty well, decent cotton, have a few which are quite a few years old and they don't just go ratty like Kmart ones after a few washes

            • +3
            • +2

@iDeker: Kmart tier is awesome for house work, gym etc. Flimsy, low quality, shit construction but pretty functional.

Superdry is significantly better quality, I have some from 7 years ago. Kmart/cotton on stuff lasts for maybe a few washes before it wears out at stress points.

              • -1

@ThadtheChad: Well that is not even remotely true at all??? I wear Kmarts for work. Open warehouse. 30+ degrees. I have some over 5 years old still holding up

                • @iDeker: Yeah thats what they're good for. Rough use when you don't really care what shape they're in.

I use mine for yard work, painting, gym etc.

          • -1

@ThadtheChad: To be fair, Kmart t-shirts are 80% of what these Superdry / Uniqlo shirts are… Maybe just a bit thinner with shorter sleeves.

They last just as long to my experience (simple washing machine / no ironing experience)

            • +1

@smartProverble: Hasnt been my experience tbh. Kmart/anko is really crap.

I'm talking absolutely base tier $10 and under garbo. The more expensive ones like the brands sitting in Kmart are not what I'm talking about (everlast, champion etc) they're decent but I'd rather uniqlo than kmart at that point.

Construction is piss poor. Loses form in a few washes, stress points especially near collars/armpits stitching holes get stretched out as points of failure.

I know the price point is very low, but eh, considering they end up in the rag pile (perfect for dusting and cleanup) IMHO prefer stuff that is a lot more robust and feels good.

      • Now I'm interested to know what your highest rated shirt would be

      • Yeah superdry definitely leans into a ‘sports fit’ (tighter around chest, arms and shoulders’

    • +4

Do they not have any without their bloody advertising logo on them?

      • +1

Heaps. Every single item I get from them only has the small chest logo (in darker material colours the thread colour matches, they don't make them contrast). And the small orange tag on the right sleeve.
I have not bought a single item of theirs with the massive chest logo. It has limited some options but they at least do offer subtle branded choices.

      • Very few have subtle logo like the Organic Cotton Vintage Logo Embroidered Top

    • Much better. Usually pretty thick material in general. Tees should be ok, still run small as a brand.

$25 a shirt is a pretty good deal these days.

@Horacio why don't you click the link and look for yourself, plenty with minimal graphics.

  • Does the 10% discount work?

  • +6

Upsized shopback for the next couple hours too (10.5%)

    • +1

      Extended to 12th February now

  • Are these t-shirts wet?

    • Almost see them exlusively worn by fashion followers

    • Uh, what?

    • +1

      Orange user photo checks out

  • I always see Cash wearing these in Home & Away (I'm sorry)

  • +9

    Bought 4
    Plus 10.5% shopback cashback
    Plus 5% NAB goodies

  • Can anyone comment on the length of these tshirts? I prefer longer tees, haven't tried these.

    • Short, for the essential tee anyway.

    • +1

I just laid mine on top of a bunch of other t-shirts. I would rank it as average.
I like Jack and Jones t-shirts because they are really long. Became my cycling top because it keeps your back covered when leaning forward.

      • -5

So you’re not one of those Lycra-loving crack showers? Oh wait, your are not from Sydney..

    • Short

  • +1

    free shipping on orders $99+

  • Haven't bought Superdry since uni days, got 4 to try again and sized up for all of them - thanks OP

  • +3

Literally paying to advertise is very strange.

  • +1

thanks! got 4, free shipping, and Shopback cashback

  • -1

Wow pay $100 to be a billboard for Superdry. Noice.

  • Bought many t-shirts previously, their sizing is so inconsistent

  • +1

Not really sure why anyone would do this at $25 a pop especially looking at some of the graphics but each to their own.

    • +1

      same price as kmart: https://www.kmart.com.au/product/australian-open-t-shirt-s17…

maybe you like Australian Open logo, but each to their own.

      • I'm boring, I just buy plain t-shirts in bulk for $10 each every 3-4 years.

      • +1

Only a matter of time for that bloke to post target or big W 'equivalent'. You could post a Kmart version of most stuff posted on here.

Not sure I'd pay $25 for a Kmart hobby.

  • -5

$100 could buy a lifetime supply of t-shirts from Taobao.

    • +4

you think Taobao shirts would last a lifetime?

    • Depends how old you are or if you have a terminal illness I suppose.

      How many would you need?

    • Does taobao shirt contains spyware that threatens the national security?

    • Artimaster blanks are only about half the price of this and he doesn't make fits like this anymore

  • -4

None of them plain. I'd rather walk naked than suffer the indignity of wearing that lame brand.

  • +3

The fashion police are out in force today …

  • Need a deal for polos. I remember they used to be $25.

    • Same like saying DDR5 RAM and 2TB NVME used to be $100. welcome to 2026.

      • That's different, there's demand for ram but clothing is in abundance. Their polos are $50-59 on sale is taking the p!ss, same price as some hoodie.

    • I think short of company shutting up shop won’t be back - been watching the prices on and off for a while via my iconic Wishlist - pretty rare unless last stocked items / weird colour or super obnoxious design

    • +1

They got a deal on Polos atm. 2 for $100. I ordered some on Monday.

  • Uniqlo is better quality

  • +1

    Thanks OP, bought!

Have bought few Tees from Superdry in the past - great quality. I would say, better than Uniqlo.

I dont like the flashy big logos on Superdry, so ordered 4 oversized tees. They have subtle small branding which is good.

  • Ill prob gona get neg for this comment but Ive seem majority of subcontinent bros wearing this day and night everywhere.

    • +1

Which continent wearing what where lol

    • FWIW they are very cheap in the subcontinent with regular deals directly from superdry; even cheaper if you buy from big online sellers.

      • Probably because made in Bangladesh, Pakistan or India

  • After reading comments and reviews I bought 4 (plain style) shirts in a large - im usually a med. Fingers x'd. Thanks for post OP

    • Bought 4 a size larger than my standard size as recommended.
Only 2 of the 4 actually fit me - all the same size by the tag, but not consistent
      = my 16 year-old now has 2 new t-shirts

      • +1

Always a gamble internet clothes shopping, even in the same brand lol.

I only buy the black and navy Tommy tees from Amazon when they are 20$. Some are longer than others so buy 4 and send some back

        • Normally I'd agree, but from my experience, brands have consistency with the same garment at the same size.
Not the case here - so I won't be gambling with SuperDry again.

          • +1

@Minimum-Chips: You'd think so, but not always. These Superdry tees are all different styles, polos different too.

Even those Tommy t-shirts from Amazon vary. The last batches are thinner (which I don't mind), the Navy ones are thicker, some are longer than others etc.

      • ekk scared to try them on

        • +1

phew - all ok… one is a little too big, but a hot wash and tumble should help it shrink a little to suit.

  • Cheers lad, great timing for new tshirts

  • If yellow suits you, this is actually cheaper and you don't need to get 3 others:
    https://superdry.com.au/products/essential-logo-emb-tee-wint…?

  • Great deal esp with cashback last night ordered right on midnight, tracked about 15 mins later from app

  • +2

Keep in mind Superdry does not offer free returns and they have a limited retail footprint, with stores concentrated in key city centres rather than widespread.

    • +1

Yep, and they are difficult to deal with with returns.

  • The oversized tees are tempting, got a bit of a Uniqlo AIRism vibe. You probably have to be tall and lenky to pull it off though.

  • One of my shirt has a hole, doesn't seem fair that we have to pay for the return post.

    • +1

Just go to a Superdry store or email them I guess
