Handy for those special occasions when your Dunlop KT-26 sneakers won't do.

    • +2

White Dunlop Volleys with a suit = mint.

    • +1

No joke, if anyone knows where you can get the OG quality Dunlop KT-26 I'd appreciate a heads-up.

  • +2

Nice, very likely a price error but worth a shot. Just recently got my 10 yo+ pair in beeswax leather resoled, adding black suede to the collection.

Also the 10% off is only for full priced items fwiw

    • +2

I saw that too but applied it and it worked on a pair of beeswax, codes don't apply to shipping. $45.46 delivered.

      • How long did it take to receive the code ?

        • +11

          Like 5 minutes.
          Who knows could be generic - try;

          KL206025

    • I was under the impression that you couldn't get them resoled? I've been holding on to my old beeswax pair that have aged beautifully except for the crepe sole having almost worn entirely through - I'd been keeping them purely so I could check the size when I finally got around to ordering new ones.

This changes things! Did you need to do/find anyone with specific skills for this, or will any decent cobbler be able to sort them out?

      • N/M - Old mate Google suggests that I had bad info.

  • +3

    RRP$260?

Who are they kidding, these were normal school kids shoes back in my 80's period of being terrorised by bullies!

    • +1

I had to laugh at your comment - early 90s - the cool kids at my SHS wore 'Rollers' - and I think Windsor Smith had some clone too.

      • Ripples?

      • Yeah kids had black rollers and those heshon bags.

Not sure if these Clarks boots are quite it, but guess they are chukkas with crepe soles. Goodyear welt construction are a lot more durable but overbuilt. Don't think these soft soles would last that long but cheap enough if your size is left.

The beeswax colour is the only ones I'd consider, only 12s left.

    • +1

Why is this getting negged? My older brother wore these at school, although at his school the rough/poor kids wore desert boots because they were cheaper and the richer kids wore the polished leather shoes.

    • Boronia High School?

    • Interesting read on rollers and desert boots in aus

  • +1

These are slippery as hell on wet tiles and similar surfaces aren't they?

    • +15

No rain or wet tiles in the desert.

    • yeah the crepe sole is slippery as hell, not really made for the wet.

  • +1

Idk about you guys but it shows as 60% off clearance when I purchased just now, meaning it may not be a price error at all as these are on clearance.

  • The RRP is listed wrong on their website. See below link for the women's boot with correct RRP
    https://shoewarehouse.com.au/products/desert-boot-w-black-su…

Having said that, I highly doubt they won't honour it.

    • I think it's that the men's are actually on clearance and the women's aren't.

The men's link at least on mobile chrome has a navy blue banner "60% off clearance" on the men's link but not on the women's link.

I guess that could be interpreted as hey we're putting stuff on clearance for 60% off, or the way I interpreted as it makes sense with the numbers is - here's 60% off items already on clearance.

Who knows though. I ordered a pair regardless so we'll see.

  • Any recommendations for wide feet? I'm usually a US 9 in 2E wide

    • I'm an 11EE and I just get US12's if widths arent available.

  • The additional 10% off coupon code does not seem to work on discounted lines - anybody have any other coupons that might work?

    • +1

Did you try it? It worked for me even though the email says it won't.

Always try codes on the off chance they don't set the right attributes.

      • +1

Yes, I did. Would have bought, but the no free returns is a deal breaker for me.

  • Thanks for the link. My old desert shoes died a while back and been wanting to have another pair for a while.

  • -4

    These are hideous.

    • +3

      Username checks out. 😁

    • Stick to you Air Jordan's then

      • +1

        I'm more an Adidas man.

      • Any shoes would be more comfortable, I imagine the soles would be pretty hard on these boots.

  • Was thinking of ordering 2 pairs (different sizes) to avail free shipping and return the pair that didn't fit, but…

"Clarks Online is confident that you will be happy with your purchase. If for any reason this is not the case, we offer $14.95 returns within 28 days of the order date so that you can shop with confidence."

    • Seems fine, about what it would cost to send a shoe box back.

    • +4

It's even worse when you realise that this deal is from Shoe Warehouse and not Clarks Online!

You don't get subsidised returns and must pay actual costs to return. You can return to a store though, if there's one nearby.

  • +1

Can't see any click and collect option at checkout.

    • +1

It's there but only comes up if you select find in store first. May not be stock in your store though, none at all in ACT for example.

    • Could not find my size / colour in stock anywhere in Aus!

    • Stores that only allow click & collect if that particular store has stock is somehow missing the point.

  • Can I buy the men's to use as a woman?
    Size down one or something?

    • +1

click the size guide u'll c the cm in length.
but last time my gf bought a pair of man's adi/nike (couldn't remember) as woman's sold out, she said too wide though length is good, have to return

      • That's my fear too. Length should be OK, but the width may not be…
Returns can be costly or a pain in the butt.
        Thanks, will avoid.

        • Length should be OK, but the width may not be

          Exactly what my partner said

          • @cashless: Someone said length and width are just numbers

  • Cheers OP. Didn’t really need another brown shoe, but the beeswax leather was too good to pass up at this price! Already have similar dark brown suede and greyish pairs so this will be a nice add to the collection (if they honour it). Thanks!

  • I placed the order, thanks to the original poster! I used Afterpay just in case they don't fulfill the order. Afterpay typically processes refunds quickly if the order gets canceled.

  • Thanks OP! I wore these regularly about 15 years ago, and can’t resist getting them again at this price!!

  • Any owners out there willing to comment on comfort? Great deal.

    • +1

Check the reviews on the clarks website OP linked. Very favourable

    • Don't wait too long. Also don't forget cashback.

      • +1

        Ah damn. Forgot the cashback

        • Ah well, I first couldn’t find it on Shopback (8.4%) so went via TopCashback (7%). Didn’t get it right either.

  • Thanks OP! I've always wanna tried Clarks for a long time. Guess I'll finally get one!

  • Thanks OP, will give it a shot. Have been looking for some desert boots and this will be a cheap way to see if I like them

  • Bought a pair - thx!

  • is this bonded leather? If so I’d seriously skip… gotten school shoes for the kid and they didn’t last a day. The front started peeling off 😵‍💫

  • Will I get swarmed wearing these shoes?

  • +2

I still have two pairs of these from a clearance sale maybe 8 years ago. We paid $10 each back then.

Note the sizing of these are not TTS. They are tight shoes

    • +1

Are they? People here and on the Clark's website are saying to size down.

I ordered 3 and decided to stick with my normal size.

  • +1

    +1 just for the nostalgia

  • -5

Jesus Christ. Who designed these? Shocking.

    • +6

Just one of the most iconic shoes of the century…

    • +4

Mate if you think Desert Shoes aren't iconic you're absolutely cooked.

      • -7

On the flip side, if you think they're iconic you're absolutely cooked.

        • +1

Have a read up on the history of Chukka boots.

          • -1

@japes: Yeah chukkas are a good style, not sure about these but probably the cheapest versions you can get.

Still a bit hillbilly but may look alright when they are messed up with faded jeans and checked shirts

            • +1

@G-Shock: No, US9 in Nike would also be a UK 8 in Nike
Therefore you should with go with a UK7 or UK7.5 at the most depending on how broad your feet are

          • -1

            @japes: Hard pass m8

  • Order confirmed??? Hope they will honor…..; did all of u get 1 size down?

    • Yep, recommended to size down wth Clarks

    • -1

I order my regular size - but I often use UK sizing and not US, so the numbers are right. I don't get why people say to size down otherwise…

  • Woah what a steal! Ordered the beeswax leather, fingers crossed that they honour it.

  • +1

Damn, I’m gutted I missed the beeswax in a 10. Been waiting forever to snag a pair cheap.

  • -1

Virtually no sizes available LOL. May as well mark OOS

  • Missed out on the Beeswax leather at the checkout…grrrrrh

    Got a different pair though…)

  • I've moved onto Bushacre 3s for my beeswax fix. They are a bit more comfortable (for me), the soles have a bit more grip generally and don't seem to have as much static electricity build up and probably the biggest advantage the sole doesn't turn black and nasty looking in the city like the crepe version, meaning they stay a bit classier looking.

However, at this price it's a cheap way to get the sand suede!

    • I bought a pair of the Evo ones - which apparently has more support and is meant to be comfier than even the Bushacres. The sole also having more grip and is also more rigid.

  • RRP $260 Hahahahahahah

  • anyone modelling these shoes

  • Is this a good start towards desert camping gears? I heard the trip through the desert is not cheap.

  • -2

    ugly

  • order one, 10% discount code KL206025

    • How did you lose your other leg?

  • +1

Showing at $99 when going through to check out now

  • Looks like they’ve disabled the discount code now.
Price now showing $99… bugger 😂

    • If people actually wanted or needed them they would probably pay $99 (from myer, hype etc).

Some Loake Trappers would have been sweet but missed the boat on them back in the day.

  • +1

    Mine shipped FYI

  • +1

    Got a shipping notification

  • +1

    Same here. It shipped

  • Still haven't received my shipping notification. Hopefully it'll come through soon.

    • Likewise. Eagerly waiting…

      • +1

I ordered mine at 9pm last night, so wonder if it's just them going through the orders by when they came in.
