What time is a good time to pop around for coffee? That's about as close as i would get to a coffee machine like this haha

    • Or you could pay $5 at the local cafe which has a $12k machine. Or course that has 3 heads and makes 100k cups/year.

Decent price and Auspresso are a great mob to deal with. I’ve bought my machine from them and they have fantastic post sales support

As a Lelit Grace owner I'd like to say I'm not too impressed by the build quality. My machine works and doesn't break down. But if I'm paying $2900 I'd like something more robust and prettier.

    • was just thinking, the grinder aint free cos the brewer aint worth 2.9k for sure. for >2k budget, you should be able to score a much better brewer imo

      • Any other stores sell this machine under $2900? please let us know.
Or any dual boiler Italian made machine around ~$2k as you implying, other than Breville?

  • What’s the heat up wait time for the boilers?

    • It is mentioned in the description if you bothered to click and read it.

It says 5 to 15 minutes, bit of a wide range.Maybe 15 minutes until it's heat stable. The PID will let you know it's up to temp at least and you can see the fluctuations.

Consistently 10 minute for me. I can make it quicker by running the portafilter under hot water.

  • Can this do pour over?

    • I assume you mean the grinder - in which case, yes. The machine on the other hand is an espresso machine.

If a sub $1000 Breville DB had not of jumped out in front of me the Lelit Elizabeth would have been my next purchase.

Either way Breville would have got my money. lol

    • And put the savings into a really good grinder…

    • I'm very happy with my current VS3 Gen 2 but who knows down the track.

    Thanks bought 7.

IIRC Lelit is owned by Breville and positioned in the prosumer segment above the Dual Boiler? So it's made in Italy instead of China not sure what that means for QC

    • Apparently Lelit is staying functionally independent since the Breville buy out…

  • This has a good reputation for a dual boiler (wether it's worth $2900 is another issue). I'd be wanting a better grinder to match with it. Even the DF64.

Build quality is atracious. No way you come up to it, look at it and spend that much. Then if you see that plastic steam knob -you run. When I saw Lelit first time in person including Mara X they all look like Chinese knock off made few decades ago using absolutely terrible cheap materials.

  • You also need water!
