480

Hi, first deal post here. I found out the Gran Turismo 7 for Playstation 4/5 is again highly discounted in the PS Store to only $62.47.
It’s been discounted in the past at this price but I haven’t seen it here.
I’ve never played it and was waiting for a discount to buy it.

Just enter to the PS Store app and look for Gran turismo 7 if link doesn’t work.

Happy gaming!

  • HODL until they add the JZX100 Toyota Chaser

I grew up with 1, 2, and 3. I enjoyed 4 then fell off. 5 and 6 were rough, and GT Sport was not my kinda game, especially at launch.

GT7 gave that kinda older school feel that really made me enjoy it; and the little cafe campaign helped with motivation. I'm not an online racer though so cannot comment there.

That said; I found in later games the 'get free credits' stuff kinda… ruined it? in some way. Old GTs were about starting cheap, building up, but DLC/pre order bonuses and such give you too much to start with. Maybe I just wont apply anything next time.

GT1 starting with what, 10k? Was great! I learned to all-gold the B License test; got the concept car and modified that as far as it'd go! Could even get some half decent money in the High Speed challenge thanks to it being insanely nimble on high speed ring and reverse. Obviously got obliterated on the test track. XD

    • Do you have the PS4 or 5 version?
I have an ancient PS4 and life got busy so barely played any GT5. If GT7 is going back to the old school gameplay then it might be worth another go?

        PS5.

GT5 and and GT6 were both on PS3. (I have both, and my old PS3 still XD, does backwards compatible PS1/2 which is great).

If your PS4 has an SSD it'd probably be a decent experience but with a HDD I reckon it'll take a little while to load into races etc. As I understand the PS4 version still looks and runs amazingly, just probably slower load times, and obviously 1080p limited, no ray tracing, and probably aiming for 30fps (which wasn't really an issue for most racing games like these anyway in the past)

        • ps4 is fhd 60 on gt7

if you has an ssd in your ps4 i dont see a reason to upgrade if you are tight unless you want the power pack dlc

          • @tonyjzx: Ohhhh my apologies. In that case 60fps is great!

Agree with your statement then for sure. Ps4 GT7 with an ssd would be a great experience

Aah the nights spent playing GT1 and 2 on PS1… Those care free days

      100%

You start with buying the shitty Honda civic, then give it the exhaust and other bits and pieces of engine tuning and start dominating the super easy races. Almost felt like the path you would follow in real life.

It also made you appreciate those mainstream everyday cars more too.

      Good memories.

Mate you have no idea how much I was raging when people were complaining about having to earn credits through grinding on GT7 at launch.. Like that's the point of the game!

being playing gt7 recently and founded the game to be somewhat small/linear in content. Saying that I also grew up with 1/2/3/4. I never got in to 5 or 6.

But saying that I recently been able to get gt6 installed on my ps3 and being enjoying that much more than 7. Grpahics wise aren't as great as 7 are coppy vs gt5 and gt7. But gameplay is a bit less linear thru the gt7 cafe mode. Also it so strange have to play serverl hours in gt7 before split screen is unlocked.

You gotta take yourself off the linear path of the Cafe Menu's and go to Missions, etc. The 'Event Directory' (top right when inside of World Circuits) is also a good way to go for more of a nostalgic look and feel.

Ultimately, Sport Mode is where the action is. I find enjoyment out of racing in Manufacturers Cup, Nations Cup and Daily B and C, and occasionally going for the top 3% in the world for the Time Trials.

I guess those who prefer a single player racing game might eventually get tired of it though.

even with the cafe menu done GT7 isnt really a game with a feature rich career set

there are weekly challenges but they are shit compared to the old GT5/6 seasonal events

the only thing keeping GT7 going is the monthly DLC where they add a few cars, events etc.

Still prefer GT1-3. I got bored played GT7, although I am likely the minority in saying that.

    • +2

      nah you arent wrong

4-5-6 are kinda much better received than 7

      • +1

honestly wanting to see the toyota pod racing back in 5/6/7 but saddenly it stuck in concept.

Time attack is good, with decent money. Bronze is easy, silver gets challenging and yet to score a gold. The top players with gold runs crazy time.

Been playing since GT1 and am looking forwards to GT8 - if ever.

    • gt7 probably will still be current xmas 2028… its clear its still selllng and DLC is still coming

by that time its 6yrs old lol

  • can someone recommend a racing game that i don't have to start with a yaris?
ie i'm buggered from work and just have 30mins for a spin.

    • +1

Forza 5 if you want an arcade racer.

    • +1

      Rally Art

      • +2

i play GT7 pretty much daily for 30mins as a relaxaton tool… steering wheel with race seat 55" tv

its fine for that… like any more and its a pain

its not hard to get money to buy expensive cars in it

  • "Gran Turismo 7: Still touring…."

  • +2

Its meant to be awesome in VR

  • Is the Power Pack DLC on sale too?

  • +2

Sony ported many titles to the PC but not this one which I want the most.

  • +1

God I remember 4… Still such an amazing game

  • +3

Experience the Power of this game like this guy did

  • doesn't this game have egregious Micro transactions, how much does it cost for the full experience

    • +1

they are not required to progress the game

  • Why is a four year old game over $60 after 50% discount ?!

    • Because a 4 year old game is still good, and has more content than it did at launch
