CamelCamelCamel. So they had usb c in the last gen but not this one? Thanks for the heads up.
That looks like a different (and smaller) model with the usb-c
Yes, slightly smaller with usb-c.
But I assume that's what they're talking about when they say "for the second gen of this amazing portable blender".
Apparently been out for a while, but all in all, looks better other than the charger…
Funnily enough, I just watched a review (Joe's Phenomenal) that praised them for the change! (I kinda get where he is coming from, but I don't agree.)
They should have just included a USB-C power brick instead, to appease those who complained about the lack of included power brick!
Yeah, that's a stupid reason.
"Hey some people don't like that you didn't include a wall charger for the usb-c"
Fine! Then we'll just do away with usb-c so your only option is our wall brick to charge it!
USB C one is weak, mine couldnt blend frozen fruits probably
couldnt blend frozen fruits probably
So you never tried ?
hahahah come on you know they meant properly
never had this issue, you probably dont have enough liquid in it :)
I use the gen 1/USB-C version daily… to blend frozen fruits (blueberries, strawberries and banana if it helps :) )
Only time i've had an issue is when I didn't have any liquid in there, I use milk, wife uses water.
I use coconut water, very good
Got both the smaller Blast with USB C and this one, this one is stronger definitely but god damn proprietary cable they use. They don't even sell replacements if your cable breaks or is lost (like mine was).
Needs a specific 13.3v and 0.75amp 4.0x1.7mm DC charger. I tried a few with slightly higher and lower voltage and amperage and the device kept complaining about the charger not being supported.
That being said, not a big fan of both of these even though I have them both.
The smaller USB C one, the cup cannot be taken off the blender after - you need to take the entire thing with you; whereas the blast max the cup can be taken off the blender base.
That is absolutely disgusting to go away from USBC to a proprietary voltage charger and proprietary cable. It has no purpose apart from pre planned obsolescence and to make future landfill when no one can get replacement power supplies and cables.
This product should be negged until oblivion.
Landfill rubbish
amazing portable blender
Amazing is such a strong word.
Have the older model (with UCB-C). Was an impulse Ozbargain buy but rate it quite highly. Excellent little blender
Did they really move away from usb-c? What an odd move…
