Boost Mobile: $80 Cashback on $315 365GB 12-Month Prepaid SIM @ TopCashback AU

193

Good price at $235 (after cashback). Boost has reduced the price from $365 to $315 for the 365GB 12-Month SIM.

  • Excludes International calls & texts.
  • 365GB for new activations.

  • Cashback is on the purchase of the physical SIM only. You can convert to eSIM after you have received the physical SIM. Activate the physical SIM first, insert and then convert to eSIM.
  • If you're a current Boost customer, you will need to port out into another provider (e.g. $2 Telstra SIM) and then port back into Boost. Please see the steps in my comment here.

For better tracking, use the TopCashback app, click the 'Get Cashback' pink button to the Boost website (not Boost app), use mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and Chrome browser.

TA's Tracking Tips:

  • Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave and close any additional browser tabs.
  • For iOS device: Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase, and must not be deactivated until your cashback is payable. If the SIM is deactivated prior, Boost may decline cashback.
  • Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. If there is more than one SIM in an order, it will result in an untracked purchase and the purchase will be ineligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on eSIMs, recharges, phones, bundles, accessories, $2 SIMs.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any gift cards, vouchers, or store credit for partial or full payment. Cashback is also ineligible on purchase of any gift cards.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, DNS AdGuard, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • Accept and allow all 3rd party cookies on the retailer's page if requested.
  • Return to TopCashback to click the 'Get Cashback' button for each new transaction.
  • Transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted or negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

Finally what I’ve been waiting for!

  • I've not used any of the cashback apps up until now, but this does seem compelling. Is there an explainer on how to best go about getting this app and using it? And are there any signup bonus/incentives I should be aware of?

    • +3

Use the referral link, to sign up to TopCashback, and you can get $25 from the referral.

    • Use the TopCashback app, click the 'Get Cashback' pink button to the Boost website (not Boost app), use mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and Chrome browser. Please read the rest of the tracking tips in the post description.

    • It’s a great app, user friendly, I’ve never had any issues with missing cashback and I use it a lot.

  • What's the deadline, for activating this prepaid-SIM ?

The other deal had a deadline of 02 March 2026.

    • +1

Boost website still says 2nd of march. Cashback site says within 30 days to receive cashback.

      • +1

        Please see my reply here.

    • +3

Boost states "Activate by 2 March 2026" which is usually for the bonus data. It doesn't appear to make any difference to this offer as there is no bonus data (unlike the other offer that is linked). This is a 365GB SIM. Hence for this offer, SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase for cashback and don't need to worry about the 2 March deadline.

      • Understood.

For the purpose of cashback, there is the criteria of "within 30 days".

Funnily enough, I bought the SIM in the other deal, 30 days minus 02 March 2026, to try out my cashback with TopCashback :-D

Here's hoping for more Boost deals later in March, as I'll need some more then :-)

    Excludes International calls & texts

    This is new now. Damn

    • +4

      Check this page:
      https://boost.com.au/shop/boost-mobile-12-month-sims

      $315

      Sale ends 23 Feb.
      Ongoing recharges $365.
      All for use in Aus.
      Online only.

365GB for new activations and ongoing recharge.
      12 month expiry.
      Activate by 2 March 2026.
      All for use in Aus.
      Online only.

      $300

      290GB for new activations.
      240GB on next recharge.
      Activate by 2 March 2026.
      12 month expiry.
All for use in Aus. Incl. international calls.

So, it looks like the costlier SIM has more allowance for data, but does not include the international calls/text,
      and
the 'cheaper' SIM card has less allowance for data, but includes international calls.

  • started using boost in perth and feels like it is alot worse than kogan.

is there a setting config that I'm missing out on?

    • +1

It depends on your location. I'm in Perth metro and find Telstra and Boost work better for me than other network. I haven't used Kogan (Voda) but have tried Vodafone and amaysim (Optus). I've the opposite experience and find Vodafone and Optus network don't work in some suburbs that I visit.

    • In the areas that I frequent, I find Boost to be very good, whereas Amaysim is 'worst' than Optus, in spite of Amaysim using Optus.

I get a 5G signal with Boost, but with Amaysim, I get 4G+

  • +5

Buyer beware. Lots of people are still waiting for pending missing cashback claims from the Amaysim deal with little to no response from TCB.

    • +2

Sorry to hear. That amaysim offer was from 28 Nov to 2 Dec. That would be normal for you to be still waiting and not receive much response. It would be several months of waiting for the claim to be paid, similar to cashback for tracked orders.

I've submitted a few claims with TopCashback and here is my experience:

Unlike other cashback sites, TopCashback does not add the tracking manually. You won't see it in your "Earnings" page initially. After the claim is paid, then you will see the transaction in your account.

You would have received an automated email when you lodged the claim that states to wait several months. There is usually no response or communication while waiting for the claim to be approved. TopCashback would contact you if they need more info.

      • You can check on the progress of your claim or add further info here.

      • Any enquiries, please contact TopCashback support in this link.

      All the best.

  • +1

Used their app last week to purchase a boost sim, Cashback not tracked yet

    • Sorry to hear. If you haven't yet, please submit a missing cashback claim here.

Please see my reply here on the claim process and non-tracking.

      All the best.

  • +3

As others have said, buyer beware. Cashback has not been tracked for previous deals (mine amaysim). Poor comms from TCB and all the risk to the buyer if vendor denies.

If cashback is important to you, either ensure you can refund if it doesnt track, or avoid TCB for these telecom deals for now.

    • +1

Boost has tracked well for me in the past on 2 purchases. Chrome on win 11 with all plugins disabled.

    • Sorry to hear. This is Boost mobile and is one of the more popular offers from TopCashback. amaysim's tracking is unrelated to Boost tracking. amaysim is no longer a partner with TopCashback.

Please see my reply here regarding the claim process, non-tracking and response from TopCashback.

      All the best.

      • +1

thanks for the info, isn't it a bit concerning if they are no longer a partner with claims pending…?

        Are you related to TCB?

        • I post many cashback offers and not related to TopCashback or other cashback sites. I've been posting and active on OzBargain in the last few years but mainly posting cashback deals so quite familiar with what they offer.

I noticed amaysim has an on-off partnership with the cashback sites (also ShopBack and Cashrewards previously). I posted a few of the amaysim offers and there was a break where amaysim was not offered but it came back. amaysim isn't a regular partner unlike Boost which has a more permanent presence with the cashback sites.

In terms of the claims, I've also had a few claims myself and it's usually a long wait with little or no response. Best to ask the rep @tightarse regarding the amaysim claim.

Going back to this Boost offer, Boost tracking seems more reliable and usually tracks quickly within 15 mins to 30 mins. I've posted many Boost offers and buy the 28-day SIM cards via TopCashback. I've often asked the rep TA for a Boost offer including this one.

          • @trixieb: thanks for the effort, have reached out to Tightarse in the original thread for resolution.

            • @OZcheepsk8: I'm also quite new to cashback and only use cashback (and gift cards) in the last few years.

All the best with the claim. Hope TA can provide some reassurance.

From the previous Boost deal, last Friday:

      Ordered: 15:14
      Tracked: 15:17

      • +1

I ordered the last Boost deal yesterday and it tracked basically instantly as well for me.

  • +2

Still having "Sorry, we are unable to process your order." similar to last deal.

    • Unfortunately it seems to be Telstra/Boost random security check. You could be blocked for a few days to a few months. I've experienced with buying 28-day Boost SIM, Telstra SIM and phone online. For a few of my orders last year, I used a relative's details to purchase when I couldn't wait. Most of the time, I'm able to purchase using a debit card and entering my address manually. Using a passport as ID seems to have better success too.

The tips below sometimes work for those that are not familiar.

If you are unable to pay due to "SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG" message, please try the following suggestions:

      • Use a debit card (instead of credit card).
      • Use your Passport as ID (instead of driver's licence).
      • Use a different email.
      • Type your address manually.
        (i) Type any address and choose "I can't find my address" as shown here.
(ii) Add your address manually in the "Address" section shown here. It's below "Delivery address".
(iii) Vary a little e.g. St instead of Street, Ave instead of Avenue etc.
      • Vary your name e.g. Pete instead of Peter, Bob, Rob instead of Robert etc.

If you experience any issues at the checkout page, start all over again to ensure tracking. Click the pink button at TopCashback through to Boost website again.

      All the best.

    • -1

Echo'ing trixieb's comments - I was having the same issue; it just didn't seem to like my preferred credit card (NAB platinum). Switched it out for a debit card I don't regularly use and it went through the first time.

  • +2

I've used TopCashback twice now and have done everything right, disabled ad blockers, clicked on the online store website from TopCashback's website, etc. Topcashback also shows that I clicked on the store's website but my cashback hasn't tracked at all. Feels like clickbait to me now.

    • +1

Sorry to hear. Which stores did you purchase from?

As per the post, the rep has recommended to use the TopCashback app with mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and Chrome browser for better tracking. Most of my purchases have tracked using the rep's suggestion. I've had a few non-tracking orders but they have all been paid.

      • Amazon and PureVPN. I generally use my computer so don't know how mobile data would make a difference.

        • It can be the difference between tracking and non-tracking. Some Wi-Fi settings may block tracking with their complex privacy settings.

Mobile data and default Chrome browser have less risk of blocking the tracking.

  • Is this a good deal?

  • +1

Another one who didn't get the cashback tracked from r the Nov offer. And they've also removed it from my list, not even pending.

    • Sorry to hear. This is a Boost post and unrelated to the amaysim offer. I've already explained the claim process, where to find your claim here and here.

Please use the amaysim post here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/936942 for further comments relating to the actual amaysim offer.

You can also contact the rep @tightarse or TopCashback support here who would be best to help you.

      All the best.

  • My current Boost plan is expiring at the end of march, this is perfect timing. I’ll use the $2 Telstra portout to activate this sim. Topcashback is showing the entry as visited, hopefully they’ll update the cashback in the next few days.

    Cheers!

    • +1

Tracking with Boost is usually quick within 15-30 mins. Can you see the Boost tracking in your Earnings page here?

You would also receive an email from TopCashback that it has tracked. Please check that your "Email Preferences" are turned on here.

With the $2 Telstra SIM card, don't need to recharge. Scroll down to the option of activating without recharging. Porting out of Boost into Telstra and back into Boost is usually quick. Rarely there could be delays of a few hours or the next day. A few people mentioned in previous posts recently.

If you are looking at alternatives, don't use $2 amaysim as it seems to require a recharge.

  • +1

Just to let you know - Have just purchased boost plan and cashback have hit my account already.

    • +1

Same here, tracked in 2 minutes

      • İs tracked the same as the money being available to withdraw?

  • Hey trixeb, seeing the $49 sim for $25 sale ends in a couple days.
It's currently $14 cashback but any chance you can work some of your magic to bump cashback a bit the last ~24 hours?

    • +2

I had asked TA for a deal on the $49 SIM but $14 cashback is the best Boost could offer. Hence I didn't post as it's not good enough.

At the same time, Coles and Woolworths advertised the $39 Boost SIM for $12. Unfortunately Boost website didn't have the same $12 offer for the $39 SIM which is unusual.

Will check with TA again. If you're not in a hurry, Boost $39 SIM online is probably due for a discount soon. Hopefully there will be a good cashback to go with the $39 SIM. Will ask TA too.

  • Did anyone experience transaction error during payment at the website?

    • Please see the suggestions here and try again.

  • If I am on Boost monthly prepaid, do I need to port out and back in, to get this offer? I’m essentially a new customer to the 365 day sim, but currently a Boost member.

    • Yes as you are still a current Boost customer regardless of the Boost plan type.

If you are unfamiliar with the porting out and in, please see my reply here.

You can use a $2 Telstra SIM card and no need to recharge.

      • Oh wow, good to hear that Telstra removed the requirement to recharge when activating $2 sim.

  • It's says that it only works with a physical sim and not esim. Does that mean you have to wait until it's sent to you? How does that work if you're porting your number over?

    • Yes. You port in when you activate the physical SIM with your existing number.

      In the post:

Cashback is on the purchase of the physical SIM only. You can convert to eSIM after you have received the physical SIM. Activate the physical SIM first, insert and then convert to eSIM.

  • SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG for the past 2 years now :) still not out of jail yet

    • That's a long time :( Did you try the suggestions here?
