  • Damn, they go up to 1000W now in SFX?

Cooler Master has 1300w SFX model

For anyone wondering, it's listed as an ATX3.1/PCIe 5.1 compatible unit.

  • Good deal.

Rated A+ on SPL's PSU Tier List

    FYI that's the highest rating.

If this was Australian stock on Amazon AU I would have purchased it.

    • Why has the German stock put you off?

      • No reason really, other than it's just easier to return for warranty if there is an issue with Australian stock being much faster to process.

These Corsair PSU generally has no issues. Also you are dealing with Amazon AU for returns, they are usually very good with this. I just returned the Samsung 1tb 990 Pro purchased from Amazon UK and it goes back to their warehouse in Vic.

Have non-data centre-compatible parts been going down in price as their counterparts skyrocket? Must be a glut of PSUs especially enthusiast grade and other stuff if fewer people can afford to build machines

Exactly this. Most people only buy a PSU when they're building a new PC. Computer component manufacturers are hurting and going to hurt more.

      …Should be some bargains. ;)

      • I’ll go ahead and order a PSU, case, AIO, then never again own a PC

bare in mind, there are reviews of people who find the cables too short, when pairing with an atx motherboard/case. You could buy Corsair Type 5 cables if you find yourself in that situation, but they are generally in the ballpark of $180.

Dont mix and match cables from your previous power supply.

    • I had this issue too. Got a good deal on an SF1000L but had to spend $100+ on type 5 cables that fit my ATX build. Great PSU but I wish I had researched better

    • $180 ? You can just use male-to-female extension cables for a tiny fraction of that amount 🤷

    • Yep, same issue.

Great PSU (have the 750w one), but someone was selling the longer type 5 cables on Marketplace and snagged them for $100.

Made working in it a lot easier, pricey in the end though for a micro ATX build.

    • Second this.

Bought the 850w version a couple of years ago. Have never heard the fan since. 5/5 performance.
Used it in a couple of itx build with 7800xt initially and now 5070ti.
The individually sleeved cables are flexible and perfect for itx builds. Can be velcro'd easily. Unlike cooler master's horrendoes cables.

But tried to temporarily use it in a friend's atx build to test. And the cables just had no chance in that dual chamber case..

  • Good price for this type of unit, I got a CoolerMaster SFX Gold 850w for $220 locally. A rating on the tier list and has more than enough power for an itx build.

  • Any recommendations for a 1000W atx unit?
