I was looking for Ozb favourite 5w30 oil and found this. Works out to be $21.25 per 5 litres, cheaper than usual $30 I expect for cheap 5w30 engine oil. Not sure if I'll buy this because it's thicker than 5w30, but my k24 engine should be able to handle this in summer.

10w will be fine in Australia's warm climate.
Your k24 will be fine with it so long as youre not tracking it.
The 24 oil pumps spin at 2x crank speed, unlike k20s at 1.75x - so it starts bypassing thicker oil sooner is all.
Keep the redline below 3 seconds per pull and try not to bounce the limiter too often and you'll be golden.
