The promotional credit can only be redeemed once per customer on eligible items.

    • -1

The $10 promotional credit is issued once per qualifying order when the total spend is $100 or more…

      • +12

Only got the promo credit on my first order over $100, not the second order over $100.

        • Thanks. Important info.

        • Thanks for confirming! Picked up a $100 Cat Choice Groceries.

        • you 100% sure? Just purchased 2 x $100 cards in separate orders on a single Amazon account and received 2 x $10 credits. It appears only 1 promotional credit can be used at a time, so while my credit balance wasn't stacking (showing $10 not $20), I was able to purchase 2 x $5 gift cards using a $10 credit in one transaction, and do the same again with the second $10 credit.

          • @ATreeFiddy: So it sounds like we've done this differently.

            • I got a $100 card and then got the $10 credit email
            • then I got $110 cards in one transaction, using the $10 credit to reduce total paid to $100
            • no second $10 credit email

Did you do 2 separate $100 transactions without using any credit? Then used those credits in more transactions?

            • @VladImpaler: I just paid 2nd $100 got 2nd $10 credit. think it's tricky to apply credit on order which reduced $100 spent then not eligible.

tested order another GC together if credit applied:
              Price: $100.00
              Promo Credit Deal: -$8.16
              With discount: $91.84

            • @VladImpaler: You could be right.

              • I purchased a $100 card and received a $10 credit.
              • When I went to purchase the second $100 card it attempted to apply the original $10 credit to it. I unchecked this so I was paying $100 again. I received the second credit in about the same time as the first.
              • I then bought 2 x $5 cards (as there was no $10 option for the card I was after) using 1 of the $10 credits. And did the same again in another order using the second $10 credit.
              • If it's relevant, I'm buying Category choice cards

At no point did it say my credit balance was $20, so the credits don't appear to stack. Another $10 just appeared when I went to make the second purchase.

Have you used your original $10 credit to confirm another one isn't there for a second purchase? May need to contact Amazon support if it's not.

              • +1

@ATreeFiddy: Just went to purchase another $100 Category Choice but no $10 credit is showing. What does show us "this order qualifies for $10 credit".

So presumably if you use the credit in a transaction, that transaction doesn't qualify for another $10 credit even if the order is $100.

UPDATE - I put through the $100 purchase then got a $10 credit email, immediately used it to get 2*$5 gift cards at no cost.

                • @VladImpaler: So it works when using the $10 promo credit for another order?

As your example above $110 worth of gift cards - $10 credit = $100 total got you another $10 credit?

                  • +1

@Big-Deal: No, don't use the credit in the same order as your $100 card order. Do the $100 card order first and wait for confirmation you get a $10 credit.

Do a separate order for $10 (2 × $5 cards) and you can see the credit applies at the final screen and you pay $0.

          • +1

@ATreeFiddy: I tried with two Amazon accounts, both happened the same: got $10 credit in 2mins after the first $100, none after the 2nd. No balance at all in my credits after the 2nd purchase.

            • @klaiwy: Did you use the original $10 credit to help pay for the second $100 card or uncheck that option and pay the full $100?

              • +1

                @ATreeFiddy: I didn't uncheck the $10 when I bought the second one, I guess that's why

    • +1

So one per account? Personal and business? Anyone tried this?

  • +1

I read beach & naked. So i clicked.

  • +1

avoid naked wine at all costs. they will keep charging you monthly cost even after cancelling. customer support does not help. wine was mediocore

  • can't place with my business account. and just bought a $100 groceries card let's see what happens

    • received the credit straight away

      • Do you get a separate email about the credit? Or it’s just automatically added to your account?

    • so it works with amazon business account too ? but there is no discount thought.

      • doesn't work for business account. I used my normal account

        • It worked, I made purchase under both personal and business Amazon account, got $10 credit issued for both account. Both account has the same email address.

          • @li1123k: It didn't work on my buisness account. Same email.

  • Maybe a dumb question, but I assume Department Store doesn't work on Amazon? ShopBack?

    • +1

yep, it doesn't work (both Amazon and Shopback)

  • +1

Purchased $100 Category Choice Groceries, got the promotion credit email in 2 mins
    Thanks OP!

    • 40mins and no promotion credit yet

  • can the Category Choice Groceries card use in coles and woolworth supermarket? thanks

    • +1

yes, and also asian groceries and costco

      • thanks

      • Online too?

        • Costco online doesn’t work with category choice groceries unfortunately, instore works

          • @littlesoldier: Thank you.
Can you get the 20% discounted DoorDash gift card in store?

            • +2

@tenpercent: Yes, can use Cat Choice Groceries to pay for 20% discounted DD GC in store.

      • On giftcards, do you happen to know if the Special Supermarket Slayer Card works with Costco? Thanks

      • +1

Update: In case anyone else is wondering, tried and the Special Supermarket Slayer Card is definitely not accepted at Costco.

        • +1

          Thanks for reporting back!

  • Is maximum promo credit $10 or can I buy $500 GC to get $50 credit?

    • Pretty sure its just $10 no matter how much above $100 you go

  • Max is $50 for Category Fuel.
Buying 2x $50 to qualify for offfer?

    • +2

dunno why on the mobile browser only $5, 25 and 50 denominations showing, try the app and that had $100 and the bigger options for me. I just searched category choice gift card in the search bar, and on the product page you'll see the offer listed near the bottom. All worked well for me through the app and I got my promo credit a minute after the gift card sending through.

    • Yep.

  • Nice find!

  • Can category choice gift cards be spent online?

  • +1

anyone else having issues add cards to cart ??

  • Can the $10 credit be used towards another giftcard?

    • +3

Yes, you can get two $5 Category Choice eGift Cards right after.

Actually, it is a default setting to use the $10 credit first.

      • Thanks for confirming!

        • -1

          Isn’t it one per customer?

I wouldn’t want to run the risk of Amazon banning account

          • @JHoliday: Amazon set the $10 credit as default (partial) payment for a gift card purchase, i.e. encrouge doing it. If the merchant doesn't want customers to do it, the credit has to be fiddled to make it work (or won't work like the Amazon eGC credit).

Use the $10 credit immediately so it won't be left expired.

      • Now I have so many $5 gc to keep track of.

Also just got access denied to the card activation portal because I have activated 6 cards in 15 mins.

        • Or get a $25 or other type.

  • +2

Couldn’t add the category choice card to my Apple Wallet.

  • Anyone know if Bunnings works with the tradie one? I saw on another link sometimes it is 5211 so may not be eligible?

    • I'd be surprised if Bunnings wasn't 5251. I haven't seen anything to counter this, what was the link you saw?

  • Is this for prime customers only? Thinking about creating another amazon account for family members.

    • +2

      No.

My account has never had Amazon Prime, but:

      • I purchased a $100 Category Choice gift card and received the promo credit a minute after purchase.

      • The 10% discount is applied to an Uber Eats gift card when I go to the checkout.

  • so this will work at chemist warehouse? Pharmacies (MCC 5912)

    • Yes, it’s worked for me

  • $100 cards appear to be sold out for all of the Category Choice variants

    • +2

It's a glitch on mobile, rotate screen and they show up.

      • Thank you kindly

  • +6

I can confirm still able to use Category Choice Pets to pay Medibank insurance.

    • -1

thanks ! what is entered at cvv section while paying medibank?

      • That 3 digit number

    • Thanks for checking. I did it as well.

    • -1

What did you put in CVC section?

  • -1

    Party's over? I bought $800 groceries cards and received $80 credit ($10 x 8).
The 9th $100 order was placed about 10min ago but haven't seen the promo credit email coming through.

    • I thought only one promo credit per customer?

      • It's not, which makes it an even better deal than the direct 4% off during the BF sale last year.

        • Great, can confirm as went to pick up another 2x $100 category GC! This works out to 9.09% discount, not bad!

    • scared me to order mine in case the deal closed earlier, got instant $10 credit.

      • 1st order won't keep you waiting for too long, but when it comes to the 9th or more, it takes some time.

    • Hey mate can the promos be stacked or will they be applied separately at $10max per transaction?
I got 2 $10 promos too so wondering.

      • +1

Might be separately. I used up all the $10 credit every time before getting a new $100 card and the new credit.

        • So jus confirming u used the $10 credit to buy a new $100 egift card but paid a discounted $90 & still got another $10 voucher?

          • +2

@kronosxmate: Definitely DONT do that. He’s saying he used the $10 credit to buy an additional 2 x $5 gift cards, then bought another $100 card paying the full $100

    • Awesome, it’s still working. Bought 5 so far

    • Did you get credit for 9th order?

      • +1

Ignore my original comment.. It's still working.
I chose to stop after the 16th credit.

  • can i use amazon gift cards to pay for something like this?

  • can this uber gc be used to backdate uber rides and eats (both)?

    • +1

yes, have done it. within 30 days though. cheers!

  • Hi, Is there a limit on how many Category Choice Grocery cards can be added to an iPhone? I was able to add 2, but when I try to add the 3rd it stops me with an error.
Has anyone else come across this issue or found a solution? Thanks in advance!

Error” Your Issuer Does Not Yet Offer Support for This Card”

    • +2

There is a limit on how many cards you can add within 24 hours. It used to be 1 card every 24 hours but now seems that they increased the limit to 2 cards. This limit is set by BlackHawk (issuer of the category cards)

      • "targeted", mine still one in 24h

      • Thanks

      • +1

ahhh thanks for that info. I purchased three $100 gift cards. Keep getting the error message when adding to Apple Wallet. I'll try adding the rest tomorrow.

    • +2

It would be nice if Category Choice gave us a short message mentioning that there's a daily limit when adding to your digital wallet… surely that'd prevent many requests for help

  • i got blocked at activationspot site… after registered 3 * $100 and 6 * $5 Category Choice Grocery cards

    • I too got access denied after activating 7 cards.

You can either wait out the timer which I'm not sure how long it is, might be a few hours, or you can continue on a different i.p. address.

      • +2

just tried now, it's working again,

  • +1

Does anyone know the error: "Card Not Added" "Contact your card issuer for more information", when the Category Choice Grocery card is added to the Apple Wallet? I added the first card successfully yesterday, but got the error when adding the second one. I have waited for 24 hours, but still got the same error today.

    • yes same happened to me but my 2nd phone can add it on the wallet

      • Are you using the same Apple account on both phones?
