  • Solar miner quoted me $10k for 45k foxesss 3 phase with a 7kw solar system.

    • Avoid that bunch, they will jackup price after you sign or never deliver and you keep waiting.

      • Had mine installed by them and price was exactly as quoted, delivery and installation was all on time.

    • You can probably squeeze a bit more out of that quote. A 48kw foxess battery and 3 phase inverter are going for ~5k in NSW.

Depending on the type of roof you have and access, I'm not sure 7kw panels are worth another 5k.

      • No worries are you available to install champ

      • They are not that low for Fox ESS, around the price here, maybe a bit better: https://www.aussiesolarbatteries.com.au/fox-ess-batteries

        • Most are the Fox EQ4800 41.93 kWH with the 8kw single phase inverter for around $5.5k

          • @dandandan: I've been quoted $5.5k for 48kw cq6 with a 10kw 3 phase inverter.

I assume the eq48 configuration you mentioned above could come in a bit cheaper - the ~5k I alluded to. I didn't shop around for that model. I also can't comment on the quality of installer and anyone on the internet saying they can, simple because their price is higher, is full of sh*t.

            • @salmon123: Hey @salmon123, do you mind sharing the name of the installer? My quote with a 15kW inverter and 48kwH CQ6 is 9k.

              • @b0nd007: yello energy

                • @salmon123: Thanks, I will reach out for a quote. Do you have your battery installed already?

                  • @b0nd007: I don't - waiting for a site visit to finalize the quote.

                    • @salmon123: Do your due deligence and make sure they are legitimate. The quote seems quite cheap, all of the quotes that I have received so far are 8-9k but with a 15kW inverter. I am based in metro NSW.

                      • @b0nd007: Yello is legit - used them for solar before … there's definitely a suburb tax in Sydney metro. Nicer address means you pay more for everything.

                        • @salmon123: That's good to know that they have done work for you in the past. I am surprised by the cost difference. I am not too far away from them (within 60 kms) so I will give them a call for a quote and report back!

                          • @b0nd007: @salmon123 - do you mind if I PM you?
I just spoke to the guy at Yello and he quoted me 9.5k for CQ6 and I didn't even tell him my address.

                            • @b0nd007: sure

                            • @b0nd007: hahaah i reckon half of the recommendations we get here in ozbargain is just a bait to grab customers. I did the same with yello and the quote is nowhere near what has been stated above. prices vary on suburbs is hard to buy, i cant believe how there could be such a big gap!

  • I have 13kw solar panels and 10ke inverter. Only needed batteries. How much? Its single phase

    • Do you have a hybrid inverter? Usually that's $3k off the bat then batteries minus rebate

      • Please give us a call and our team will be able to help you out

  • single stack battery? does it available for 3phase? and 15kw invertor

  • Do you subcontract? How many of these systems have you installed? How far ahead are you booked out? How much deposit do you require?

    • I work in this industry in an industry body

These are all really good questions. And I encourage you to pay a little more and go with your local company who can offer this product.

The answer is likely going to be mix of - all subcontracted , not many ( new battery & many new companies have entered market since the rebate started last year ) they’re not booked to April so they have a relatively low pipeline ( reputable companies are well booked ahead)

Worth checking ABN. If it’s fairly recent you’re probably in for a rough time ( or a higher risk of one )

      • Please give us a ring and the team will help you out

        • This kind of response is useless. Answer the questions for everyone to see.

          • @unco: The response answers the questions pretty clearly imo. Yes they subcontract, no they don't want to disclose the number for some nefarious reason, they're excessively booked out because they churn sign ups without regard for delivery date, probably a high deposit which you'll have to spend months to claw back after failure to deliver.

            I may be a pessimist.

  • Can you add a small solar system on top of this please?

I am keen to get a quote specifically for my place please.

Also a dc to dc direct charger for a car possible at all?

    • Please give us a ring or email and the team will help you out.

  • Vic price fox ess battery 42 kw and 10 kW hybrid inverter price matched by solar miner is 5200. Have a offer from evergreen solar for same.

    • seems too cheap?

    • Should we add the $1400 Sola Vic interest free on top?

    • evergreen solar seems very suspicious

      • I got my solar panels from them in 2021, so they have been around. This time they refused to match it in December 2025 but later sent this in January 2026, hence I went with solar miner, no delay as well they said probably looking at jan 2026 installation but installed it end of December so I was happy.

    • Hi Raj,
Do you mind sharing the price matching quote you got from Solar Miner for 42kWh Fox Ess + 10 kW inverter? I just got a quote from them for that same set up but they are asking $7700 for it :/ ?
      Thanks

      • Will do, sent

        • Hi Raj, could you please also share your quote with me? looking to get the same. Thank you!

  • Quoted $13.7k for 10kW Jinko Tiger Neo panels + 51kW (10x 5.12kW) SoFar Solar batteries + 2 x 5kW hybrid inverters in Brisbane.

Seems pretty aggressive pricing. My FIL got this deal & cannot fault the installation or performance over the last 4 months.

    • I'm interested - where from?

      • Will DM Can't message you, send me a DM

    • I’ve got quoted around $10.5-11k for 33kwh Goodwe ESA / 10kw inverter

Or to compare to this deal, $13.5k for 49.8kwh Goodwe ESA

    • Quoted $13.7k for 10kW Jinko Tiger Neo panels + 51kW (10x 5.12kW) SoFar Solar batteries + 2 x 5kW hybrid inverters in Brisbane.

Very interested, who was this quote from?

    • Hi I’m interested in contacting the qld company aswell

    • Hi, I’m interested in contacting the Brisbane solar company as well. Can you please send me the solar quote company's contact details?

      Thank you.

  • Can anyone find reviews of this installer?

    • Google maps points to a house a suburb (Lynbrook).

And it has got 7 reviews.

      Very sus.

      • And then a toorak address on their website… doesnt add up

    • Okay checked out the website, photos are generic and words are pretty AI~ish. They claim 15+ year in business they don’t have an office/building in google despite in “company history” saying they opened one in 2014?!? they installed 500+ systems and 99% satisfaction rate with no backing, and claims they are a member of Clean Energy Council, doesn’t check out as far as I can see on their website.

Claims they have a “research team”?!? lol what?!?

Can’t find reviews. I am going to downvote until proven otherwise as a caution for people.

  • Fox ess is better value.

    • These comments are like saying a Hyundai is better value than a Toyota . Cheaper yes. Same ? Maybe not.

All products are not made equally. But maybe fox is. Hard to know

They’re both power houses in the industry.

    • Cheaper, yes.

  • Just got one of these installed for a similar price from a different installer and so far so good.

App is pretty decent and it's a really neat setup!

    • May I ask which installer you went with?

  • What discounts are Vic getting that qld aren't? I've got a price that's heaps dearer than this and it was supposed to be from a mates mate for similar goodwe system which has got me concerned now.

    • None. There is no state subsidy on battery in Victoria

    • Yep I'm in FNQ and a quote I received for 48kwh Goodwe ESA system was ~17k.

      • I’m in brisbane, Which have you ending up picking?

    • Hey I’m similar aswell, I just got a quote for for 21k.

Which did you end up picking?

  • Got this quote in vic by jimms energy
