recieved a text from boost this week.

$50 off recharge - 240gb for 250$ - which might be worth not going through the hassel for porting in and out for $5 and 50GB

    • +2

must be targeted doesn't come up for me.

      • +2

nor me. mine expires on 15/02. Does yours expire soon @Glenningvalley?

    • when does your boost subscription ends? mine ends in march, im hoping i get this message too then

      • +2

25th of Feb - so hopefully you get one aswell

        • damn, i just got an offer but its extra 200gb data for $300 recharge. looks like ill be porting out and back in again

          • @PreSsieGuY: 200GB? So how much would the total amount of data been if you would have taken that up?

I just got an offer for my Boost 12 month prepaid that ends in a few days and doesn't seem to be as good as what you guys got. I'd prefer @Glenningvalley offer of the lower price $250. My offer was an extra 100GB for what I assume is $300. Do you think I should switch to a Telstra 12 month prepaid SIM for $285 and 300GB data? I've never really done the port in to someone else and port back out again thing. When you do that, how long do you stay ported out to the temporary service provider?

What did you end up doing?

          • @PreSsieGuY: Did you end up porting, or taking that offer?

    • I received the same offer last week, a few days after my last year expired.
Dunno if it's a "retention offer" or just coincidence but saved me playing Musical SIMs.

      • What did you do for the few days after your credit expired ? Were you just happy to receive calls and txt and go without data ?

        • +1

Yup, only go into town once a week so there was no rush and procrastination paid off this time :-)

          • @AnneThrope: Haha, that's what I also think and say too,………sometimes,………sometimes not lol.

I just got this sms. Expiry on 26th Feb

    • Mine was coming up for expiry a couple months ago and I contacted them to see if they would do me a deal to stay with them… as I've been with them for years. Nope.
So I popped over to Tangerine for dirt cheap, for a month, and will come back one one of these deals instead.

  • Hi OP, Thanks for sharing. Any idea if it includes International Calls & Texts?

  • +1

365$ sim is 315$ at Boost website, claim 80$ cachback via Topcashback, you will end up 235 for a better sim

    • +3

Yeah I thought the same. Only reason to go for this one is if you're anti-cashback.

      • Or if someone wants International Calls & Texts

        • +2

Or if you tend to get on a plan and don't change (not very OzBargain like, but I like a lazy deal). The $300/pa renewal is $300/pa, the $365/pa renewal is $65 more if you don't go bargain hunting next year :-) Please don't down-vote me, I'm a bargain hunter but won't change my provider every X/time it's crazy hassle.

          • +1

@Erasmuz: I got an offer extra 200gb if i recharge on a $300 or above

        • Ah right, I assumed the only difference would be data. I didn't realise they'd change the other inclusions.

    • Or if you don't want/need to activate or port for at least 30 days or longer which is required in order to get the cashback.

Or if you prefer a guaranteed lower price without the risk of not getting cashback And/or waiting few months.

    • +1

it takes 6 month or so to get the cashback

      • +1

Yeah TCB takes forever to pay out. Pretty painful.

Add to that potential for it to not track properly and it's very appealing to avoid cashback if you can get it for similar without. Plenty of unhappy people in the Boost deal page:

  • The $300 Boost Mobile sim pack currently offers 300GB on first/new activation, then 240GB on next Recharge for those who do not know.

Boost Mobile is also offering the $365/365GB sim pack for $315 currently direct from Boost online.

Thanks, got Officeworks to price beat.

    • How did you find an Officeworks that has this in stock?

I tried everywhere, but ended having to buy the Amaysim $12 deal to keep me going.

    • How much after price beat?

    • How did you get them to price match? I tried and they wouldn't because there was no product code (SKU?) on the lucky mobile website.

  • How much data included for this one?

  • Just ordered. Will prob register mid march . Thx OP

  • Activated today and got 290gb
