I’ve been waiting for this TV to come down from RRP pricing. All the major retailers have recently dropped under $3000 with the good guys currently the lowest at $2933 via the price beat button.
This is a mid tier deal and not close to ATL.
Retailers are also offering a further $500 off when bundled with the TCL Q85H Pro soundbar (I.e get the soundbar for $399 rather than $899). Read the reviews, I wouldn’t take that offer.
Could someone please tell what was the ATL ?

Even with a 7.1 channel soundbar, it was $2500. I don't think you should buy at this price. Plus stock was very limited and delivery expected months later.

I have been clear in my post that this is not near ATL, sometimes there is a balance to be struck between waiting for ATL and having the product to enjoy.

The Aussie dollar is also getting stronger so some bargains should appear soon.

To those interested in this deal, it's potentially worth waiting for a better deal as I got the 85" delivered for $2100 in December. A new model is due to come out soon as well, so surely one would expect that there will be better offfers than $2900 for this at the very least.
Ordered this TV on the 26th of November for $2100 from TGG it arrived a week ago, Hopefully they have stock now
Was able to get this for 1990 during black friday. HODL because they can definitely do better than this on pricing. More stock should finally be coming through so you shouldn't have to wait as much as people did from black friday and boxing day.

Prices have been generally lower at the end of October, November and December. Then go back up and in the new year apart from one off TVs stay high until new models are nearing release.

yep and 2888 at HN atm. I am also waiting for this one to hopefully get to 2100-2500 range. The new models will be a new improved spec which will be pricey ($7K) and they may retain the C8K at just below current pricing for 'budget' levels. Here's hoping though, if you are not in a hurry worth waiting a month or two.

Despite these upcoming models and quite possible chance of price reductions, I jumped in and purchased 85" C8K $2550 delivered. Videopro (Newstead) happy for me to share this price and they have two left in Briz. Yes the new ones will be better and priced up you would have to assume. If there is a price drop on current models when that happens so be it, i'll have to cop it but job done now.
Yeah, as you said way off ATL. Wait a day or a week and maybe save another $500. No rush now considering a new mkdel in a few months :)
