  • Sadly didn't get Coles.

Got $10 off $40 Harris Farm instead. Hope they do cashout there.

    • I never get Harris Farm :( and that's where i usually shop. Got $10 off $100 at Coles again for the umpteenth time, which i never use.

      • Harris Farm is new for me, though I've gotten Supabarn before.

Can you get cashout at Harris Farm?

Got $10 off $100 at Coles again for the umpteenth time, which i never use.

You don't have an eligible debit card?

  • 5/50

  • 5/100, may aswell try cashout again next time I shop at Coles.

    • I used to do this. Then put it straight into the CBA ATM next door as a deposit….

      I haven't got the Coles offer since…

      • I have been doing the same and they still been giving me the Coles offer. Though they used to give me 10/100 all the time, this is the first time I got a 5/100.

        • Yeah, I lodged a "please explain".

CBA are a trash bank though…and by a significant margin.

It's amazing they have a single customer, yet alone record profits.

If I wasn't in mortgage prison I would leave in a heart beat.

          • @tunzafun001: I have had a CBA account since I was a kid. I now only hold it just for the Yello deals and cash deposit ATMs. Annoyingly I will have to keep 500 in a savings account just to be eligible, and make sure I have atleast I think 2000 coming in every month. For normal banking I wouldn't recommend CBA.

Aso for some not getting the deals or getting a worse one, it might be just random with influences from your tier and transaction history.

            • @blue130:

Annoyingly I will have to keep 500 in a savings account just to be eligible

The basic Yello tier only requires "Make 5+ eligible transactions from an eligible account/s". (And this is negligible considering you can simply do five $0.01 transfers to a non-CommBank account.)

The next highest tier, Yello Plus, requires 15+ eligible transactions plus "Keep an eligible balance of $500 for any 15 days (or more) unless you’re under 26".

Whether Yello Plus offers any meaningful benefits to warrant that extra step is a matter of opinion.

make sure I have atleast I think 2000 coming in every month

Depositing $2,000 per month is one way to avoid the monthly fee on applicable transaction accounts. The money can be transferred out immediately after it's deposited in.

  • 10/100 - nice: 10% not long after I got 10/150.

  • 10/200 - no go for me.

Simply cashout if you have an eligible debit card.

Otherwise you could get gift cards, equating to 5% discount, which is acceptable for some options. Hard pressed to do better than 5% at Coles for example.

Cash out works for the deal?

        • I usually spend less on groceries and get cashout to topup and still get the cashback.

        • +1

Always worked for me in last 5-6 times already.

Bought 2L milk and cash out $50 in one transaction.

          • @timhn: Crazy, as the transaction I see actually shows the cashout portion. Would be so easy for them to fix, one would presume. Same for you?

Anyway, have tried and will see if it works for me.

@Pratty: Yep, it's showing like that but don't worry, this trick had worked for me and many others before. You can search for all comments in previous deals like this.

Yes. It has been mentioned in nearly every Yello Coles deal post. It should be mentioned in the deal text but that is up to the OPs.

          • @OnlyHans: Agreed. We’re all on our own journey. ;)

30/200 here. Might need to update the deal. ☺️

    • +1

      Same for me. 😄

Nothing here. The higher the tear, the worse offers you get

    • Me neither, but it's not worth shedding tears over.

      • Would it be worth shedding tiers?

  • 5/100 for me, terrible deal unless you already plan to shop at Coles

    • You still don't know about the cash out trick? Just make regular purchase and top-up with the cashout to meet the requirements.

  • $5/$100

    No love.
